Read more– opens a dialog boxEach review score is between 1 and 10. To get the overall score you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of them. We use a weighted review system, which means the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. Guests can also give separate “subscores” in crucial areas like location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value, and free Wifi. Note that guests submit their subscores and overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an accommodation that you booked through our platform if you stayed there, or if you got to the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialize in detecting fake reviews submitted to our platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team so that our fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we'd publish every review we get, positive and negative. However, we won’t display any reviews that include or refer to (among other things):
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out. We may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old, or if the accommodation has a change of ownership.
An accommodation can reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (e.g. language, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). You can sort and/or filter them by time of year, review score, and more.
Sometimes we show external review scores from other well-known travel websites, but make it clear when we do this.
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly, without limiting expression or strong opinions. They're also applicable regardless of the comment's tone.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. All content should be genuine and unique to the guest. Reviews are most valuable when they are original and unbiased. Your contribution should be yours. Booking.com property partners should not post on behalf of guests or offer incentives in exchange for reviews. Attempts to bring down the rating of a competitor by submitting a negative review will not be tolerated.

United KingdomA bit far from the centre, but made up for by being close to the train.
We loved our stay here, it is a lovely bungalow village right by the train station, it is very peaceful the host is really nice and helpful. The pool is quite a good size and is fairly shallow throughout to relax in but deep enough to swim (although I got some sunburn from being in it too long)! Fully recommend staying here, probably the place where we have most enjoyed our time inside the hotel.

I recently had the pleasure of staying at Phoumrumduol Bungalows, and I cannot recommend it highly enough. From the moment I arrived, Luke, the exceptional manager, went above and beyond to ensure my stay was perfect. He was incredibly helpful, assisting with booking buses, offering invaluable advice, arranging laundry services, scooter rentals, and tuk-tuks. His dedication to guest satisfaction is truly commendable. The accommodation itself was immaculate, providing a serene and quiet environment that made for a restful stay. Its prime location, just a five-ride from town, made it both convenient and easy to find. Additionally, a delightful coffee shop offering real coffee is only a two-minute stroll away, perfect for starting the day. For basic supplies, there’s a nearby shop, and a supermarket is just a three-minute scooter ride away. Overall, Phoumrumduol Bungalows offers an outstanding experience, combining exceptional service, comfortable accommodations, and a convenient location. I highly recommend it to anyone visiting the area.

Wonderful hospitality from our lovely host. The guesthouse is well located literally within walking distance of the station. Big tasty breakfast. It's a quiet area and has a nice pool. We hired a scooter when we arrived and were able to get around to Kampot to eat, to visit the national patk ( manage your expectations, its not well managed) the pepper farms and Kep( not a lot there unless you want to eat crab). We really enjoyed our stay.

Nice bungalows in an area away from the main hustle and bustle of the town. Nice pool to relax in! Breakfast available separately. Easy to get in and out of town. The manager Luch, speaks very good English which was a big plus! Cleaning staff also very pleasant.

United KingdomThe property is outside the main town - very close to the railway station but around a 20-minute walk into the centre. However, that's quick by tuktuk! We stayed over New Year, and Kampot was busy and loud - so we really appreciated this friendly sanctuary. It was lovely being able to come back for a dip in the pool after the hustle and heat of town, and to get a good night's sleep! The bungalows are pretty simple but we didn't need anything else! The family who run the place are very warm and welcoming, too.

SwitzerlandThe umbrellas at the sunbeds were not adjustable and bedded in heavy cement rings. So no realy good shadow for the sunbeds, when there are more people at the pool.
Very quiet place with bungalows surrounded by a nice created garden. The pool was very clean. And the staff was very friendly with a great hospitality. The room facilities has been absolutely sufficient. If we wanted something, we just had to ask the staff and got it. It's definitely a place to come back.

AustraliaDecent place in nice and quiet area, however it was a bit far from the action. Tuk tuks are quite easy to get though. Room was a decent size with separate shower and toilet rooms. Bed was firm but comfortable. The pool was clean and refreshing

GermanyBed was kinda hard, as everywhere in Cambodia. Power plugs were a little scarce and far away from the bed.
The owner was very helpful and friendly! We rented a scooter directly from the hotel and when it had some difficulties we immediately got another! The rooms were spacious as they are actually little bungalows. The pool was clean and big enough to swim a little, although after a day of 36C it was more of a bathtub 😉 .

United KingdomBeds are hard, but that seems to be the SE Asia norm. The arrangement of the sockets and lightswitches is not great, but honestly, that's such a small thing.
The host of the bungalows couldn't be nicer or more helpful and it was clear that his guests enjoying their stay was really important. We hired a moped from him for $5 a day which was super easy. He gave tips and recommendations for where to go. As others have said, it is a bit out of town but an easy ride in (school kicking out time was a bit hectic!) or we never had to wait long for a 'Grab' tuk tuk which was really cheap. This is more than made up for by the lovely setting, I would not have stayed anywhere else! Lots of birds around the gardens to enjoy. The pool is quite small and warm, but perfect to relax in after a hot day of exploring and there are plenty of loungers and sunshades to relax after. Breakfast is 'on demand' so don't be put off as we were if the dining area isn't set up in the morning, go on in and they will sort you out! It is a basic bread and eggs your way breakfast with a small plate of fruit, fruit juice drink and coffee for $5. We went out mostly and can't recommend the social enterprise Epic Arts Cafe enough, it's open 7am-6pm and everything we had on the 3 times we went there was excellet and supports children and young people with disabilities, good for the soul in every way. It is also a few minutes walk from here to the office we caught our bus to Vietnam from, so a good place to get your onward travels started if you're off early. Sunsets over the mountiains are lovely from bars/cafes on the river or the Kapla skybar, but it's such a shame there are so many bars that are not aimed for couples or women in Kampot. Otherwise so glad we chose here rather than Kep which is only an hours max moped drive to visit, which was enough for us.

Lucca was a fantastic host, who was ready to help with anything we needed and always with a smile. I had left my sketchbook in Phnom Penh and he expertly arranged for it to be delivered the next day to the bungalow for a few dollars!

What a lovely set of bungalows. Perfect location for the train station and, because the station is a bit out of town, lovely and quiet. Comfortable beds, air conditioning or fan to chose for cooling. Or a cute little pool for a dip when the heat gets too much. Great breakfasts for just $5. Staff are fantastic, especially the main man Lodge (apologies for spelling) who couldn't have been more helpful. So, all in all, a great place as a base to explore Kampot (it's only 5000 riels by tuktuk to the Durian roundabout to get into town).
