Read more– opens a dialog boxEach review score is between 1 and 10. To get the overall score you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of them. We use a weighted review system, which means the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. Guests can also give separate “subscores” in crucial areas like location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value, and free Wifi. Note that guests submit their subscores and overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an accommodation that you booked through our platform if you stayed there, or if you got to the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialize in detecting fake reviews submitted to our platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team so that our fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we'd publish every review we get, positive and negative. However, we won’t display any reviews that include or refer to (among other things):
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out. We may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old, or if the accommodation has a change of ownership.
An accommodation can reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (e.g. language, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). You can sort and/or filter them by time of year, review score, and more.
Sometimes we show external review scores from other well-known travel websites, but make it clear when we do this.
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly, without limiting expression or strong opinions. They're also applicable regardless of the comment's tone.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. Promotional content will be removed and issues concerning Booking.com’s services should be routed to our Customer Service or Accommodation Service teams.
Contributions should be appropriate for a global audience. Please avoid using profanity or attempts to approximate profanity with creative spelling, in any language. Comments and media that include hate speech, discriminatory remarks, threats, sexually explicit remarks, violence, or the promotion of illegal activity are not permitted.
All content should be genuine and unique to the guest. Reviews are most valuable when they are original and unbiased. Your contribution should be yours. Booking.com property partners should not post on behalf of guests or offer incentives in exchange for reviews. Attempts to bring down the rating of a competitor by submitting a negative review will not be tolerated.
Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and other similar details.
The opinions expressed in contributions are those of Booking.com customers and properties, and not of Booking.com. Booking.com does not accept responsibility or liability for any reviews or responses. Booking.com is a distributor (without any obligation to verify) and not a publisher of these comments and responses.
By default, reviews are sorted based on the date of the review and on additional criteria to display the most relevant reviews, including but not limited to: your language, reviews with text, and non-anonymous reviews. Additional sorting options might be available (by type of traveler, by score, etc...).

NetherlandsWhat a wonderful little house to stay in for a short trip to Gyeongju. The house itself is so well equipped, it has everything you would need from toiletries, to kitchen equipment, to comfort. Very cosy, and the views from the room are wonderful. The proximity to the centre of Gyeongju is also a huge reason to stay here.

PolandI had an amazing stay at this Hanok! The location was perfect, just a short walk from the main attractions, making it easy to explore the area. The Hanok itself was incredibly comfortable, with a beautiful traditional design and meticulous attention to detail. It was also spotless, creating a really pleasant atmosphere. The climate inside was just right, enhancing the overall experience. As a European visitor, I truly enjoyed the opportunity to experience such authentic Korean culture in such a welcoming and comfortable setting. Communication with the host was excellent, making the entire stay smooth and enjoyable. Highly recommend!

AustraliaA sign with the hotel name (in english) or address number outside the accommodation would be helpful. This is more of an 'airbnb' type checkin so if you are wanting to interact with people etc then you may want to consider that.
The location is very central and the accommodation is nice for an authentic type stay. The room was surprisingly warm in the middle of winter! The instructions to find the place are very detailed and accurate and there is parking provided close by (2 mins walk).

AustraliaWe’re not used to floor heating but the host gave good instructions so once we got the hang of it it was good
Beautiful hanok, very comfortable and the floor heating was nice on the cold nights. Lovely outside area to sit and have a drink or coffee. The TV with Netflix was a great addition for a cosy movie night in. We had a great stay and would love to come back.

SingaporeThe light in the alley is very bright and the sheer curtains on one window can’t cover the light. First night I woke up multiple times at night thinking it was day. Bring an eye mask if you’re sensitive to light
Beautiful house! The location was indeed what other travellers have described - near the attractions yet quiet enough. The alley that you enter to get here is well lighted too and easy to find from the main road. The snacks and drinks were a nice gesture. The futon was comfortable too

SpainOne of the nights we stayed there, the guests on the hanok next to us were partying until quite late in the AM, we werent able to sleep as they were drinking and screaming in the patio of the hanok next to us…
It was at a great location in Gyeongju plus it was beautifully conserved.

DenmarkThis was a super cute and cozy little place. I very much enjoyed the modern amenities, but still getting that aestetic hanok feel. Communication with staff was quick and super helpful, and it was a plus that I could leave my suitcase there for a few hours after checking out so I could use my last few hours in Gyeongju to the fullest before I had to leave for the bus in the afternoon. All in all it was a lovely little weekend stay that I would definitely recommend!

ItalyI understand the idea is traditional housing and tried many Ryokan in Japan but the futon was just bad, the pillow were horrible and I could barely fit into the futon. Also, the place only offers the gate at the entrance not a way to close the house when you leave to see the city, that is not safe
Very cute place

SwitzerlandA little small especially with suitcases for 2 people, so there wasn’t much space to store things No actual lock on the wooden entry door which made us feel a bit uneasy at times but there is a cctv camera installed just in from of the entrance and a keypad lock in front of the door gate which leads to your own private entrance.
Lovely setting with a cosy but traditional feeling Good floor heating Very clean Recently renovated bathroom We enjoyed the little attention like the water bottles, juice and local snacks Close enough to walk to the attraction sites without compromising on the feel of a quiet neighbourhood
