How guest reviews work
Each review score is between 1 and 10. To get the overall score you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of them. We use a weighted review system, which means the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. Guests can also give separate “subscores” in crucial areas like location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value, and free Wifi. Note that guests submit their subscores and overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an accommodation that you booked through our platform if you stayed there, or if you got to the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialize in detecting fake reviews submitted to our platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team so that our fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we'd publish every review we get, positive and negative. However, we won’t display any reviews that include or refer to (among other things):
- Politically sensitive comments
- Promotional content
- Illegal activities
- Personal or sensitive info (e.g. emails, phone numbers, credit card info)
- Swear words, sexual references, hate speech, discriminatory remarks, threats, or references to violence
- Spam and fake content
- Animal cruelty
- Impersonation (i.e. if the writer is claiming to be someone else)
- Any violation of our review guidelines.
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out. We may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old, or if the accommodation has a change of ownership.
An accommodation can reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (e.g. language, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). You can sort and/or filter them by time of year, review score, and more.
Sometimes we show external review scores from other well-known travel websites, but make it clear when we do this.
Guidelines and Standards for Reviews
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly, without limiting expression or strong opinions. They're also applicable regardless of the comment's tone.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. Promotional content will be removed and issues concerning Booking.com’s services should be routed to our Customer Service or Accommodation Service teams.
Contributions should be appropriate for a global audience. Please avoid using profanity or attempts to approximate profanity with creative spelling, in any language. Comments and media that include hate speech, discriminatory remarks, threats, sexually explicit remarks, violence, or the promotion of illegal activity are not permitted.
All content should be genuine and unique to the guest. Reviews are most valuable when they are original and unbiased. Your contribution should be yours. Booking.com property partners should not post on behalf of guests or offer incentives in exchange for reviews. Attempts to bring down the rating of a competitor by submitting a negative review will not be tolerated.
Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and other similar details.
The opinions expressed in contributions are those of Booking.com customers and properties, and not of Booking.com. Booking.com does not accept responsibility or liability for any reviews or responses. Booking.com is a distributor (without any obligation to verify) and not a publisher of these comments and responses.
By default, reviews are sorted based on the date of the review and on additional criteria to display the most relevant reviews, including but not limited to: your language, reviews with text, and non-anonymous reviews. Additional sorting options might be available (by type of traveler, by score, etc...).

Verified reviewThe location is perfect, just a 2-minute walk. The hostel is amazing, they have lockers where I can store my important belongings. There’s a living room with a huge TV and Netflix, and they also offered me free coffee and tea. Every bathroom has everything I need (shampoo, body wash, toothbrush, and towel). They also have a rooftop for smoking, and the host replied to me in real time. I highly recommend this place and I’ll definitely be back.
Nothing

Verified reviewThis is a place that is good if you just need a place to sleep while exploring Itaewon. The space is pretty clean but the environment is not very social at all.
The bunks were very small and a little uncomfortable. They felt a little like prison beds. And there were traces of vomit in the downstairs bathroom when I woke up in the morning. There was not a place to place my stuff in the shower, which I found annoying.

Verified reviewPLEASE READ!! The hostel is strategically located near to Itaewon hotspots areas, which made getting around very convenient. I felt completely safe during our stay, which is especially important when traveling with family. The area is lively and well connected, surrounded by a wide variety of restaurants that cater to different tastes and budgets. You'll also find plenty of amenities nearby such as convenience stores, cafés, and shops, which made our stay even more comfortable. For those looking for some fun, there are various entertainment options in the vicinity, from cozy bars to local cultural attractions. Overall, the location of this hostel truly enhanced our travel experience. The staffs also friendly and helpful! They also allow us to keep our luggages in their place without charge! Really recommend! ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️

Verified reviewThe staff were friendly and kind generally and the location is really convenient if you want to go clubbing in Iteawon the beds are also quite comfortable.
I'm like 90 percent sure I was the only travler staying there at the time, which kidna sucked but more importantly, I woke up to use the toilet, and the seat was covered in piss most likely form a staff member which really blew :/ I also feel that if you aren't clubbing you might as well rent a private room in a love motel or a crappyer hotel in Seoul as the transit system is so robust you can literally go anywhere in the city without a problem.

Verified reviewThis hostel is highly social. There is a common area, so you can meet new people and make friends easily!
My room was on the basement floor, and it smelled pretty bad when we stepped in. The bad smell went away when we kept the windows open for some time.

Verified reviewthe hostel has potential. the interiors are simple-white and brown. there is a kitchenette. location is near itaewon nightlife.
i stayed in the twin room (ground floor). // while the host are friendly. the facilities are not ok. / no shoes allowed but you'll see shoe marks. even the assistant are on their shoes (crocs) not removing their shoes/crocs when checking. the hallways were not cleaned everyday. dusty and dirty. / bed has bedbugs . i had 20 bites on my legs. no mattress protector. no plyboards under mattress so when you are sleeping under the bunkbed, your ceiling is a stained mattess. they cleaned one room who checked out but i didnt see them carrying sheets. i think they dont change the sheets. they recycle. eew. / the toilet doorknob is malfunctioning. always locked. (dont know why they didnt just stuff and tape the strike plate while they wait for replacement). so you'll use the bathroom on the other units. / kitchenette is a plus but the cooktop is a hit or miss .hot then off then hot then off again. no table so youll have to eat on your room. youll no individual light per bed space of bunkbed. only ceiling so you have no choice but to sleep with lights on if your roommate needs the light./ i tried messaging the owner/manager but assistance didn't arrive. left the hostel (after 4 days) not being assisted from request to clean hallway and fix bathroom door lock.

Verified reviewGreat staff–Jade and Cherry are the friendliest, smartest staff. They are travelers also and know the good spots in Seoul. The place is new–lots of bathrooms if you're willing to look on other floors. Laundry is easy. Coffee machine works and is included. The place has a college dorm feel, like everyone is friends. The neighborhood is very touristy with a vibrant night life.
Not applicable! Really enjoyed it. Thanks again, Cherry and Jade!
