How guest reviews work
Each review score is between 1 and 10. To get the overall score you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of them. We use a weighted review system, which means the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. Guests can also give separate “subscores” in crucial areas like location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value, and free Wifi. Note that guests submit their subscores and overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an accommodation that you booked through our platform if you stayed there, or if you got to the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialize in detecting fake reviews submitted to our platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team so that our fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we'd publish every review we get, positive and negative. However, we won’t display any reviews that include or refer to (among other things):
- Politically sensitive comments
- Promotional content
- Illegal activities
- Personal or sensitive info (e.g. emails, phone numbers, credit card info)
- Swear words, sexual references, hate speech, discriminatory remarks, threats, or references to violence
- Spam and fake content
- Animal cruelty
- Impersonation (i.e. if the writer is claiming to be someone else)
- Any violation of our review guidelines.
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out. We may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old, or if the accommodation has a change of ownership.
An accommodation can reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (e.g. language, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). You can sort and/or filter them by time of year, review score, and more.
Sometimes we show external review scores from other well-known travel websites, but make it clear when we do this.
Guidelines and Standards for Reviews
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly, without limiting expression or strong opinions. They're also applicable regardless of the comment's tone.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. Promotional content will be removed and issues concerning Booking.com’s services should be routed to our Customer Service or Accommodation Service teams.
Contributions should be appropriate for a global audience. Please avoid using profanity or attempts to approximate profanity with creative spelling, in any language. All content should be genuine and unique to the guest. Reviews are most valuable when they are original and unbiased. Your contribution should be yours. Attempts to bring down the rating of a competitor by submitting a negative review will not be tolerated.
Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and other similar details.

Verified reviewIt’s conveniently located just a 5-minute walk from shops and the train station, with easy access to restaurants, cafes, and convenience stores. The staff are also very friendly, especially the lovely lady who works in the morning.
The bed was a bit firmer than I expected, which may not suit everyone’s comfort preferences.

Mr. Uthayakumar, to cover your fault you are spreading disinformation and blaming us. I am the one who had the issues with you. Firstly, you are lying there are bedbugs in our property. Why did you stay full 4 nights of your book in the bedbug facility? We are seeking the legal measure to this black lie with our lawyer. Secondly, if you want to get respect, respect others too. You inquired taxi costs and got two different ones, 60,000 won or Incheon international port from me and 30,000 won for local Gympo airport from another staff. You did not specify Gympo airport when you asked me. Both costs are all true facts. But later as soon as you found me, you said YOU LIE TO ME. I tried to help guests but you just made me feel seriously insulted. And I asked your apology but you just said I AM JUST JOKING. What kind of joke is that? Then you refused to apologize and again you forced me into a racist. You said if I were a white person, you would not ask for apology. I am a colored asian too and have never done such an uncivilized acts in my life. Mr Uthayakumar, keep in mind getting respect begins with saying sorry when you made a mistake.

Verified reviewThe staff was friendly even though not all of them spoke English they always tried to help us. The room was clean and was cleaned every day.
The air conditioning didn’t work, the ventilation either making the room very humid all day long because we took shower and the water couldn’t escape anywhere. There were nights where we were very cold and other night when we were very hot and couldn’t manage the temperature.

Verified reviewThe hotel was in front of a busy road that you can easily hail a cab. The rooms were spacious with 2 opened luggages. The skin care items were awesome, I don’t think you can expect less in Seoul. There were a number of restaurants and coffee shops close to the hotel.
The hotel was dark from outside, maybe that’s why there’s a sign that said it was Open. It may be because of the front curtain wall. It was Spring and there was no AC yet, only heat. Our room smelled like cigarettes, good thing I got a room freshener and that worked to eliminate the smell.

Verified reviewRoom is very spacious. Especially the bathroom. Which is a good place to have a good shower after a long trip outside. Since window is full length, so have to be careful to cover if needed. About 10min walk away from train station.
Better furnishing. They use portable table and chair. But it does still get the job done.

Easy access to Bus and metro within walking distance. The hotel team is very nice and attentive!!! Rooms are equipped was cleaned every day. Rooms are equipped with toothbrush, soap, water kettle, small fridge etc. I really enjoyed my stay there (6days).

It's not clean and noise everywhere. The room is not soundproofed, noise was coming from everywhere at the nigh time. The bed is uncomfortable along with the noice. Very bad sleeping quality during the trip. And the heater was not working very well. Sometimes it's working but sometimes it's not.
