Dear Philippe, Our neighborhood, Nampo-dong, is the historic center of Busan and a very vibrant commercial district. As you mentioned, the famous Jagalchi Market—the largest seafood market in Korea—along with the nearby traditional markets, brings in fresh and affordable ingredients. Thanks to this, there are many long-standing local restaurants in the area that serve delicious food at very reasonable prices. Since we are a small hotel, we cannot compete with those restaurants when it comes to providing breakfast. Instead, we are happy to recommend some excellent places nearby, and we also assist our guests with food delivery orders whenever needed. It has now been 4 years and 8 months since our hotel and spa first opened, and for the very first time, we are carrying out a renewal of the spa facilities. This was a necessary decision for the safety of the building and our guests, but I still feel sorry that we could not provide spa access during your stay. Interestingly, traditional Korean bathhouses have even been featured recently in the "K-pop Demon Monster", which has become a hot topic. If you have the chance on a future visit, I truly recommend experiencing one for yourself. Dear Nathalie, We operate a seawater public bath alongside our hotel — the very same “Bath House” featured in the popular K-pop drama Demon Hunters. Normally, our spa is open year-round except for two days — Lunar New Year’s Day and Chuseok Day. However, for the first time since opening 4 years and 8 months ago, we made the difficult decision to close it for an extended renovation. This means we are losing more than half a month of operation, with both significant revenue loss and high construction costs. Although our bathhouse is still one of the newest in the area and generally in great condition, we felt it was the right choice to proactively carry out repairs to address some aging parts that could eventually pose safety issues. Our spa is one of the hotel’s key features, and we truly enjoy helping our international guests experience Korean bathing culture. For this reason, we are deeply sorry that you could not enjoy it during your stay. If you have the chance in the future — even at another facility — I highly recommend trying it at least once. For your reference, all our rooms are equipped with bathtubs. In Korea, bathrooms follow a wet-room style, so it’s common not to have shower curtains. Water on the bathroom floor naturally drains and dries through the floor drain. While it might be unfamiliar for some of our Western guests, we also provide a traditional Korean-style futon set (bedding to be laid on the floor), which allows the room to comfortably accommodate up to six people. Large family rooms are quite rare in this area, and we are proud to offer one of the most spacious and beautiful rooms with a great view for families traveling together. Hello, my guest. There are seven bridges in Busan. Among them, Namhang Bridge connects Yeongdo (famous for Huinnyeoul Culture Village) and Songdo (famous for cable cars). This is the bridge in front of our hotel's Ocean View room. The white waves made by many ships passing by the bridge during the day, and the lights of the bridge, docks, and ships are very beautiful at night. Our hotel has rooms for lovers, rooms with views in the bathroom as well as rooms, and rooms with two queen beds for families. There are days during the year when family rooms are in high demand, and there are days when rooms for two people are sold out first. We sell rates in advance for at least half a year to a year. In particular, ocean view rooms are often sold out first compared to regular rooms, so I recommend making reservations in advance if the schedule is set. This time you stayed in the family room, but if you have a chance next time, it would be wonderful to take your time to slowly look at the sea from the bathtub in a double room. Hello, my guest. Busan's tourist spots are divided into two main areas. Nampo-dong area and Haeundae area. The Haeundae area is Gwangalli Beach, Haeundae Beach, Songjeong Beach, Yonggungsa Temple, Lotte World, and E THE Sky etc. All of those areas are accessible by car or subway, and it's hard to get around on foot, so we usually recommend a one- or two-day tour of Haeundae area to our guests. In Nampo-dong area, Jagalchi Market, Bupyeong Market, Gukje Market, BIFF Square, Busan Tower, Yeongdo Bridge, Lotte Department Store and supermarket are all within walking distance. It's hard to see all of these places in a day and they are all close to the hotel. Gamcheon Culture Village, Huinnyeoul Culture Village, Busan Station, and Songdo Beach Cable Car are a 12-minute taxi ride away. We are located in the Nampo-dong area, and the attractions in the area are very densely packed and almost all of them can be reached on foot, so staying in a hotel in this area is a great option. For example, if you have a two-day, three-night stay, you can plan a sightseeing trip to Haeundae on the day after check-in, and travel to Nampo-dong on the day of check-in and check-out. Nampo-dong hotels are also much closer to the airport and KTX station. However, it is also recommended to stay in the Haeundae area, which is less convenient than this area, but it is still the main tourist area and has a great beach view and is great for walking. Hello, my guest. Nowadays, it's very easy to get information about a travel destination in advance. There are tons of blogs, YouTube, social media, and Google Maps to check the location, distance, and actual scenery. In Korea, Kakao Maps and Naver Maps have more and better data. However, not all information is readily available. Distances on the map may not be the same as in real life. A kilometer in a hot country may not be suitable for walking. In some parts of Busan, travel times can be more than twice as long during rush hour as they are during off-peak hours. Many of our guests are very happy with our location, but not everyone wants the same thing, and we're sorry to hear that it wasn't what you were looking for. However, there are some tips that can only be learned locally, and we can provide better geographical information. For example, Gamcheon Cultural Village closes at 6pm, and almost all of the shops are closed. Huinnyeoul Culture Village has the most beautiful sunset. Hello. My guest. Among the foreign tourists visiting Korea, the number of tourists visiting Seoul is four to five times that of Busan. Busan is the second most visited city. I was born in this area, and I have lived in Seoul for more than 10 years as a university and a job. The best part of Seoul is the old palace of the Joseon Dynasty. Gyeongbokgung Palace is the most famous place, but Changdeokgung Palace or Changgyeonggung Palace is actually much more beautiful and more circular. There are no old palaces in Busan, but other than that, I think Busan is a much more attractive city. Places with skyscrapers, seas, mountains, and rivers are not common not only in Korea but also in the world. There are as many shopping and food as in Seoul, and the prices are much lower. Traffic jams and fine dust are also much more pleasant in Busan. Above all, guests who visit Korea often prefer Busan to Seoul because both people and the city cannot afford. Our hotel is located in a very quiet neighborhood, especially late at night, and all of our rooms have system windows, which means that when the windows are closed, outside noise is almost completely blocked out. It's very quiet, whereas many hotels on other blocks are plagued by traffic and drunk people. We installed an extra door in the middle to prevent hallway noise. It gives our guests one more layer of privacy. Also, we are not a structure that is vulnerable to internal noise. We designed and constructed it with care, and there are very few complaints about noise even if you look at many reviews. In Korea, most buildings are walled, not columnar. This is a characteristic of Korean buildings. All hotels (even 5-star ones!) have some level of noise that we have. However, if there are loud noises around (like housekeeping starting at 9am or other guests talking loudly), it can interrupt your rest. If the noise is too early or too late, please ask the front desk for help. Hotels are spaces used by an unspecified number of different guests. While your room is yours and yours alone, you should be considerate of other guests and we promise to help you in any way we can to eliminate any inconvenience. To be honest, in my case, hotels that I haven't been to before use a day or two and extend it on the spot rather than booking the entire schedule. However, popular hotels require you to book the entire schedule in this case, as all rooms are sold early almost every day. Our hotel also wants to extend on-site as all rooms are sold almost every day, but it is often impossible. So the truth is this is a little gamble. If three people stay in premium double romm, we provide a Korean-style Futon set. Regarding this matter, we send an email or message about the contents immediately after the guest makes a reservation. Korean or East Asian cultures are also used to sleeping on ondol(on the floor), not necessarily on beds. Some of them may feel pain in their back when they sleep in bed.
