Read more– opens a dialog boxEach review score is between 1 and 10. To get the overall score you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of them. We use a weighted review system, which means the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. Guests can also give separate “subscores” in crucial areas like location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value, and free Wifi. Note that guests submit their subscores and overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an accommodation that you booked through our platform if you stayed there, or if you got to the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialize in detecting fake reviews submitted to our platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team so that our fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we'd publish every review we get, positive and negative. However, we won’t display any reviews that include or refer to (among other things):
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out. We may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old, or if the accommodation has a change of ownership.
An accommodation can reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (e.g. language, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). You can sort and/or filter them by time of year, review score, and more.
Sometimes we show external review scores from other well-known travel websites, but make it clear when we do this.
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly, without limiting expression or strong opinions. They're also applicable regardless of the comment's tone.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. Promotional content will be removed and issues concerning Booking.com’s services should be routed to our Customer Service or Accommodation Service teams.
Contributions should be appropriate for a global audience. Please avoid using profanity or attempts to approximate profanity with creative spelling, in any language. Comments and media that include hate speech, discriminatory remarks, threats, sexually explicit remarks, violence, or the promotion of illegal activity are not permitted.
All content should be genuine and unique to the guest. Reviews are most valuable when they are original and unbiased. Your contribution should be yours. Booking.com property partners should not post on behalf of guests or offer incentives in exchange for reviews. Attempts to bring down the rating of a competitor by submitting a negative review will not be tolerated.
Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and other similar details.
The opinions expressed in contributions are those of Booking.com customers and properties, and not of Booking.com. Booking.com does not accept responsibility or liability for any reviews or responses. Booking.com is a distributor (without any obligation to verify) and not a publisher of these comments and responses.
By default, reviews are sorted based on the date of the review and on additional criteria to display the most relevant reviews, including but not limited to: your language, reviews with text, and non-anonymous reviews. Additional sorting options might be available (by type of traveler, by score, etc...).

Bosnia and HerzegovinaThe only thing that was not great was the shower - it is combined with the toilet, so it was hard to manage the splashing. We knew this when we booked, so not deducting anything from the rating, but there is some space in the bathroom to upgrade this.
Great studio in Mapo Gu. We really loved the location - 10 minute walk from the Hongik University subway station, so super easy to hop on multiple subway lines and get pretty much everywhere interesting in Seoul either directly or with 1 transfer. Plenty of good restaurants in the neighborhood, as well as interesting small shops. Studio was spacious and clean - pictures do it justice - WiFi worked great. Fab communication with the staff. My friend loved having access to a steamer - each floor had one on the floor lobby. Big fridge was also great. We would stay here again if we come back to Seoul.

United StatesBring earplugs or have a noise machine/track playing - sometimes other guests can be a little loud. Also, the windows have a "foggy film", so you don't get direct sunlight from outside.
We experienced several unexpected flight issues and ended up arriving two days later than planned. The host was exceptionally kind and went out of their way to offer a partial refund, which we truly appreciated. Communication throughout was fast, thoughtful, and reassuring. The studio itself was clean, spacious, and well-equipped—with a small kitchen, washing machine, and drinking water provided. The location is also excellent, about a 15-minute walk from the main Hongdae road, making it easy to explore the area. We had a wonderful stay and would highly recommend Studio 41 to anyone visiting Seoul!

AustraliaThe only downside was the bathroom setup. The shower, toilet, and sink are all into one space, so every time we showered, the whole area got wet. We had to keep moving our stuff—like towels, clothes, and toiletries—just to keep them dry. It wasn’t a huge problem, but a bit inconvenient, especially when getting ready. Also, there’s no elevator—only stairs. We were lucky to be on the second floor, so carrying our heavy luggage up wasn’t too bad, but it could be a challenge for those staying higher up.
Studio 41 is in a great location, with plenty of shops and restaurants just a short walk away, which made exploring the area super convenient. The room was comfortable, and the overall stay was pleasant. The staff were also very helpful and accommodating, always ready to assist with anything we needed.

AustraliaReally good location, just 10 min walk to two metro lines and plenty of bus options. Lots of cool cafes and great restaurants around. The apartment itself is quite roomy. The bathroom is, for me, a disaster but this is quite common in Korea I think. The shower is in the same place as the toilet and the basin and water just goes everywhere. I guess Koreans must shower differently to westerners but you have to leave all towels and toiletries out of the bathroom when you shower, you need to move the toilet roll or it will get saturated, the water goes scalding hot and ice cold at random and you simply can’t control the flow of water from the shower head. I found it really frustrating.

AustraliaThe first room we stayed in had some very obvious maintenance work done to it. the shower was also in a weird spot and also at a fixed height which worked against my partner who is on the taller side. The second room I stayed did not have the weird layout and was very pleasant. The only somewhat annoying thing was that it was not very sound proof and you could hear everyone coming and going on the stairs/outside the room (this was the case for both rooms) but there is a quite room after 10pm which helps.
The location was great, a short walk to the train station and then only a few more min walk to Hongdae shopping street. There was some amazing food within walking distance and easy access. had good free amenities for everyone. is suitable for couples, groups of friends and even families. the rooms were tidy and spacious which was nice.

HungaryNeighbors/ other residents can be loud at night. Shower is typical for the region, just heads up, you don't really have a designated shower area with curtains etc, just a showerhead and a plughole.
We had two double sized beds, so it was perfect to sleep off the jet lag. We could leave our baggage in the reception area on the day of our departure. We also could wash and dry our clothes before heading to our next destination. Room was clean and comfortable, bed and pillows are "harder" than in western places, but I prefer it this way. Plates, cutlery was in the room, and hair dryer. Towels, body wash was in the room, microwave in the hallway with a water dispenser. It was a very short walk to the metro.
