Each review score is between 1-10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We are currently testing a weighted review system in Malta and Iceland (excluding hotel and vacation rental chains). For properties in these countries, the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate ‘subscores’ in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money and free Wi-Fi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an Accommodation that you booked through our Platform if you stayed there or if you arrived at the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, please contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we would publish every review we receive, whether positive or negative. However, we won’t display any review that includes or refers to (among other things):
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out, and we may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old – or if the Accommodation has a change of ownership.

When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (what language a review is in, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). If you like, you can sort and/or filter them (by time of year, review score, etc.).
We sometimes show external review scores from other well-known travel websites. We make it clear when we’ve done this.

KuwaitThree things i didnt like a) Hotel has three pools (one big and two mid sized). I accessed the mid sized pools. They were nice and clean but you cannot order any food or even a juice from there. You have to go to your room and then order, take the juice from your room to the pool. Request management to please work on this as they are losing revenue. b) Very few staff would wish and say hi / hello/ good morning / good evening . Actually hardly any staff. Basic hospitality training. c) Considering Movenpick and their room charges I still feel the breakfast should be much better. I mean more choices. Even room dining prices are exorbitantly high (but the food was good)
Location is excellent. very clean tidy rooms, clean bathrooms. Good facilities. Many restaurants outside the hotel so loads of options. Easy checkin and checkout.

Czech RepublicRidiculously overpriced drinks at the swimming pool. A tiny can (0,25L) of cola costs 5,5 USD. Only luxury norwegian bottled water - I have no clue why, the staff drinks ordinary bottled water and guests may buy only expensive Voss. The pools are frequented by local strong men, who smoke a lot - even at the pools with kids. They left the cigarettes ends everywhere. The garbage is not cleaned bellow the pool bridges - the staff did not clean it despite several reuqests (maybe they cant swim).
The location is perfect, on the beach with clear blue water, nice swimming pools, palm trees. Many restaurants and cafes next door to the hotel. Breakfast buffet style was excellent.

SwitzerlandThe noise at the pool area due to loudspeaker music from different guests at the same time and also the hotel loudspeaker system with very loud music gave no room to relax a bit. Additionally on this was the extremely loud Sea-Doos that were driving always directly along the hotel beach. Awful.
Nice location with the pool and beach area. The breakfast buffet gave a lot if options to eat as well as the dinner buffet (international and seafood).

CanadaRenovation of rooms and amenities is required. There was a towel shortage at the swimming pools, so that needs to be handled better. The public bathrooms near the swimming pools were very dirty and in bad condition. The childrens' amenities were in bad condition, and very basic. There needs to be more there.
