Real Bookers. Real stays. Real opinions.
Read more– opens a dialog boxEach review score is between 1 and 10. To get the overall score you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of them. We use a weighted review system, which means the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. Guests can also give separate “subscores” in crucial areas like location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value, and free Wifi. Note that guests submit their subscores and overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an accommodation that you booked through our platform if you stayed there, or if you got to the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialize in detecting fake reviews submitted to our platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team so that our fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we'd publish every review we get, positive and negative. However, we won’t display any reviews that include or refer to (among other things):
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out. We may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old, or if the accommodation has a change of ownership.
An accommodation can reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (e.g. language, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). You can sort and/or filter them by time of year, review score, and more.
Sometimes we show external review scores from other well-known travel websites, but make it clear when we do this.
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly, without limiting expression or strong opinions. They're also applicable regardless of the comment's tone.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. Promotional content will be removed and issues concerning Booking.com’s services should be routed to our Customer Service or Accommodation Service teams.
Contributions should be appropriate for a global audience. Please avoid using profanity or attempts to approximate profanity with creative spelling, in any language. Comments and media that include hate speech, discriminatory remarks, threats, sexually explicit remarks, violence, or the promotion of illegal activity are not permitted.
All content should be genuine and unique to the guest. Reviews are most valuable when they are original and unbiased. Your contribution should be yours. Booking.com property partners should not post on behalf of guests or offer incentives in exchange for reviews. Attempts to bring down the rating of a competitor by submitting a negative review will not be tolerated.
Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and other similar details.
The opinions expressed in contributions are those of Booking.com customers and properties, and not of Booking.com. Booking.com does not accept responsibility or liability for any reviews or responses. Booking.com is a distributor (without any obligation to verify) and not a publisher of these comments and responses.
By default, reviews are sorted based on the date of the review and on additional criteria to display the most relevant reviews, including but not limited to: your language, reviews with text, and non-anonymous reviews. Additional sorting options might be available (by type of traveler, by score, etc...).

United KingdomMattresses are rock solid, but surprisingly got a very good sleep despite this :)
Super cool place! Lovely, cosy cafe in reception area with a great drinks menu. Staff are welcoming and helpful. The dorm beds are private and AC is fab. Whole place is very clean, probably one of the cleanest hostels I've stayed in! Location is perfect, can walk just about anywhere you'll need to go.

ThailandI love the tasteful Franco-Lao aesthetic. The staff is pleasant and helpful. The shared areas were very clean. They provide ingredients like eggs, milk, etc. for breakfast, and you make what you like by yourself in the shared kitchen. You can use it to cook your own meals as well. The café area is cosy to sit and work, and they make delicious ground coffee. The other guests I've seen were all nice and respectful. The location is ideal, very short walk to the centre, but quiet, and there are some stalls and shops with good food right out the door. I would suggest that they get some toppers to make the beds less hard in the private room and a new set of cooking pans and stove as the ones they have have been well used. Overall, it's incredibly good for a hostel. I hope to stay there again if I get a chance to. Thank you, Barn1920s team!

TurkeyBed was not comfortable at all, actually it was not a bed just thin mattress covered with leather but inside the capsule you have large area and big locker (without lock). Breakfast is odd too, you have to prepare your food for yourself and be there early otherwise you will have to wait until the others finish their preparation because it’s a small one and not possible to be in the kitchen with more than two people. Overall I think it’s a bit overrated and overpriced. Just an ordinary hostel providing what others provide. If you are a budget traveler don’t choose here but if you’re ok to pay couple of dollars more for a good atmosphere and one free coffee for a day you’ll be fine
It was clean, well decorated, chill vibes all around the place. Everyone was smiling. Daily free drinks and free towels are good touches.

United KingdomI thought the dorms could have been slightly cleaner than they were - they felt a bit grimy generally. The bathrooms also smelt quite bad but otherwise were clean.
Very friendly and helpful staff that gave us some good recommendations, nice cafe/chill out area and very cool atmosphere. You make your own breakfast and all food is provided - bread, eggs, cereal, milk, jam etc.

Germany- I felt it was not really social - the private room (there is only one in the hostel) is not really comfortable - the doors are the worst. It is so loud all the time when the doors in the neighboring rooms slam. Furthermore, there was a very loud machine outside the room which also made sleeping without earplugs impossible
- very clean - very friendly staff - good, safe and quiet area - much within walking distance - Onward transportation can be easily booked at the hostel - clean and warm showers

United StatesThe 1920s music is charming at first but gets tiresome after a while. Unfortunately, the more contemporary pop music played later is even more annoying. Why not silence, at least for part of the day? Everyone has their own music now (and earbuds!) and some want to read, converse, or just vegetate.
Tasteful decor, interesting theme, helpful service, generous breakfast, free drinking water, “free drink” coupon redeemable for coffee (not one of those ‘party hostels’ that base their business model on alcohol), free bicycle use, etc.
