Each review score is between 1 and 10. To get the overall score you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of them. We use a weighted review system, which means the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. You can review an accommodation that you booked through our platform if you stayed there, or if you got to the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialize in detecting fake reviews submitted to our platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team so that our fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we'd publish every review we get, positive and negative. However, we won’t display any reviews that include or refer to (among other things):
- Politically sensitive comments
- Promotional content
- Illegal activities
- Personal or sensitive info (e.g. emails, phone numbers, credit card info)
- Swear words, sexual references, hate speech, discriminatory remarks, threats, or references to violence

To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out. We may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old, or if the accommodation has a change of ownership.
An accommodation can reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (e.g. language, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). You can sort and/or filter them by time of year, review score, and more.
Sometimes we show external review scores from other well-known travel websites, but make it clear when we do this.

Thr staff response to guests did not match my past experience..some were brilliant..others off hand..the Bathroom was small pokey..no proper facilties for hanging towels or clothes.

The bathroom water leaked or the toilet was easily wet.Yogurt should have been available unsweetened.More fruit choices would have been nice.
There was a free shuttle to and from the airport.They upgraded our room.Breakfast was very good.The staff was friendly.

Food choices. Pool facilities such as shade umbrellas, a menu for pool side snacks and treats and appropriate furnishings.
Breakfasts were reasonable but centred too much on Western and Chinese cuisine. We were disappointed that there was no Lao cuisine even in the restaurant menu. Why go to a country and not get a chance to try the local cuisine? Over our four day stay the breakfast became boring, not at all challenging or exciting.

The lighting in the bedrooms was a bit weak
The lobby area and restaurant are a vast improvement over how the hotel used to be before Covid. The breakfast was very good as were the dishes on offer at dinner. The shuttle to the airport was very convenient.

The rooms would be quieter with double glazing. Vientiane is a noisy city (motor bikes etc) and the noise certainly travels unto and into the rooms. Its not the hotel's fault, but this would make the hotel perfect!
The staff were so helpful and the hotel goes out of its way to help. The foyer is world class and the buffet breakfast second to none. I enjoyed the pool, though it was cold, this being winter. The room was 'International' with no Laos feeling but I knew that and loved the relaxed and private nature of it. The staff at the hotel though were the star!

My room had a door into the neighbours so I could hear them talk. Also people talking in the corridor. The soundproofing was not sufficient. The lobby could be more cosy.
Especially the pool, good deep for swimming, the sauna and the steam were excellent.

The bed is a bit high and narrow. My mother is 86 years old. I was afraid she would fall out of bed, so I wanted to change room, but the receptionist on the morning of January 2 said there was no room available and his attitude was not enthusiastic. The black toothbrush gave the impression of being unhygienic. The glass partition in the bathroom is too short, causing water to splash all over the floor, which is both dirty and easily slippery, which is very dangerous.
The driver who came to pick us up at the airport at night was very friendly and helpful. Breakfast at the hotel is delicious and diversify. Convenient location.

Nothing really to complain. I would have liked more chairs in the foyer, particularly as the divans had no proper backs and were uncomfortable when waiting for a taxi, etc.
As the label says, it is 5 star, and it is in every respect. Large comfortable room, clean spacious bathroom, well-stocked gym, plenty of breakfast options, classy hotel ambience, absolutely central location and excellent staff who are willing to go the extra distance. For example, when I left behind something at a previous hotel, the receptionist here offered to go collect it from the courier depot for me. Another time, I asked for hot chocolate at breakfast (not on the menu) they not only made it (and a classy one) for me, but remembered each day and brought it without asking.
