Read more– opens a dialog boxEach review score is between 1 and 10. To get the overall score you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of them. We use a weighted review system, which means the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. Guests can also give separate “subscores” in crucial areas like location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value, and free Wifi. Note that guests submit their subscores and overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an accommodation that you booked through our platform if you stayed there, or if you got to the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialize in detecting fake reviews submitted to our platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team so that our fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we'd publish every review we get, positive and negative. However, we won’t display any reviews that include or refer to (among other things):
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out. We may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old, or if the accommodation has a change of ownership.
An accommodation can reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (e.g. language, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). You can sort and/or filter them by time of year, review score, and more.
Sometimes we show external review scores from other well-known travel websites, but make it clear when we do this.
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly, without limiting expression or strong opinions. They're also applicable regardless of the comment's tone.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. Promotional content will be removed and issues concerning Booking.com’s services should be routed to our Customer Service or Accommodation Service teams.
Contributions should be appropriate for a global audience. Please avoid using profanity or attempts to approximate profanity with creative spelling, in any language. Comments and media that include hate speech, discriminatory remarks, threats, sexually explicit remarks, violence, or the promotion of illegal activity are not permitted.
All content should be genuine and unique to the guest. Reviews are most valuable when they are original and unbiased. Your contribution should be yours. Booking.com property partners should not post on behalf of guests or offer incentives in exchange for reviews. Attempts to bring down the rating of a competitor by submitting a negative review will not be tolerated.
Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and other similar details.
The opinions expressed in contributions are those of Booking.com customers and properties, and not of Booking.com. Booking.com does not accept responsibility or liability for any reviews or responses. Booking.com is a distributor (without any obligation to verify) and not a publisher of these comments and responses.
By default, reviews are sorted based on the date of the review and on additional criteria to display the most relevant reviews, including but not limited to: your language, reviews with text, and non-anonymous reviews. Additional sorting options might be available (by type of traveler, by score, etc...).

New ZealandNot a great choice for westerners at breakfast, the hotel appears to be mainly, and understandably, more catered to Asian or in particular, Chinese guests. I felt a slight degree of , not so much, hostility but certainly ambivalance from the male staff. My room's tv was broken and the guy at reception didn't even acknowledge the possibility of exchanging it for another, practically laughing at me for suggesting it.
The hotel is an older style but I was impressed by the cleanliness and the enormous rooms. Overall it's a great hotel. The female staff were helpful and friendly. They very kindly organized my airport shuttle.

ThailandThe furniture is very old but still working. The water in the shower was cold. The people working at the reception ( except the chef woman) seemed so unprofessional and unfriendly. could not speak good english and seemed just really not in a good mood. gave us not a good feeling. the chef woman was helpful thought! The water, beer and drinks you could buy at the reception was SO EXPENSIVE. a big water was 2 dollars and they used an exchange rate which was really unfair. google said 16 and they used 18, just to get more money.
The bed was comfortable, and the location was directly at the mekong river and close to alot of restaurants. it was quite calm there, so you could sleep pretty good.

Indiathe breakfast was frugal with no options for vegetarians. the hi tech geyser in the batrhroom did not work so we could not get hot water. and for short people it is difficult to reach upto the geyser knobs. They did not pack breakfast when we had to leave by AM.
The hotel was clean and staff were polite. there is a lift. the room was very spacious with a balcony and beds were very comfortable. luggage storage and free airport shuttle was a bonus.

LaosBreakfast. Nonexistent! Ok for Chinese food lovers. American breakfast option not available.
Great location, staff very polite and attentive. Comfortable beds, ask for a room on the road side, very quite at night. Rooms on the inside of the hotel are too close to the temple and noisy because of the early wake up call for the monks 😂 free airport shuttle.

RussiaThe hotel, once big, modern, well-equipped and expensive, is still big and not that cheap. There were enough facilities for me, however. And the staff is perfectly trained, which makes every small talk a pleasure. The breakfast is plentiful, with made-to-order soup, and tasty. I would definitely recommend it to anybody.

United KingdomA picture paints a thousand words unless they are very old pictures. Like the ones on the site. The building is in need of desperate modernisation and cleaning. The rooms are extremely poor. A kettle is provided. But there is only one power supply in the room, which is loaded up with the fridge and TV on the opposite side of the room (no space to put the kettle). Extremely poor shower. I wouldn't leave a plant on the balcony! The room was deluxe. I would highly recommend that they look this word up in the dictionary. It is very noisy both within the hotel and externally. It is located near a karaoke bar (next door) and surrounding bars, with the noise levels going on late. There is also a temple at the rear of the property, which sounds lovely. Until 4 am in the morning when you are awoken by drumming and chanting. We booked this hotel as an airport hotel. There are others closer to the airport. If you have an early flight to catch, this is not ideal. If you haven't got an early morning flight, this is still not ideal. We arrived early evening, and thankfully, we were leaving at 5.30 am the next day. Otherwise, we would have moved hotels. We are very well travelled, we are sorry to say that this has to be the worst hotel we have ever stayed at. We didn't complain at the time. This hotel has been in this condition for many, many years. We very much doubt this is news to them.
The only positive comments that we (couple in our late 40s) can make was that the shuttle service was on time and reliable. The room was large. We only stayed one night.

OmanElectric outlets did not work, so the power strip needed replacement at 20:00. Safe was inconsistent in locking and unlocking, so we needed to carry our valuables with us instead of locking them up. Telephone did not work to contact the front desk.
Location was convenient to get around Vientiane. Amenities were as described on website. Free shuttle to and from airport. Restaurant next door had delicious food and reasonable prices. Free breakfast.

Germanythe rooms don't seem to be well noise-insulated. When you have a noisy neighbor or someone drives their motorcycle very loudly on the main road, you will hear it.
Wonderfully comfortable beds, incredibly helpful staff, retro-charme :) We extended our stay for another night, because we just liked the beds so much :D It feels like a hotel from a different era. The bathroom was very clean and the city center was just a 10 min walk away.

staff was helpful, room was very pleasant nice view on the Mekong, tip: walk over to the river, lovely to see the sunset and nice view
