The welcome and accommodation was fantastic. We had to keep extending our stay as the train were cancelled due to the Typhoon and they were so accommodating, allowing us to extend and stay in the same room. Great pool, with loungers and pool towels readily available

United StatesDisliked · I didn’t like that everything cost something. Booking a train for you not only cost you a train ticket but also you had to pay the hotel. That’s just silly. You have to book your ticket 3 days in advance and you have to have a Lao phone number to do it on the app which isn’t really fair. Should reconsider taking advantage of tourists with that. If arranged by the hotel, a car would run you 300k! (I got a taxi myself for 80,000 kip to the train station).
The breakfast was great and I’m very serious about breakfast offered. This is a really decent hot bar. A lil repetitious but at least it was filling and varied enough. And there was a station to have pho, eggs to order and banh mi made. All delicious. Just kinda wish meat was an option on the buffet. But the jam was delicious and the coffee good. I also loved the room, right in front of the pool. The big king bed was so comfortable, great pillows. Shower water pressure was also very nice. It’s rainy season and I love that they gave me an umbrella to hold on to for my 7 night stay. Front desk was so friendly and helpful. And it’s literally a 7 min walk to the night market and the Mekong River.

Beautiful small hotel near (walking distance) the night market, main walking street with restaurants, coffee shops etc, museum, temples and Mekhong River. Rooms were a good size and well equipped with everything you could need, the pool was lovely after a busy day exploring and the breakfast was good. There is a selection of items for breakfast (buffet style) but you can also order additional hot Laosation/Asian style breakfasts … yummy, the manager and staff at this hotel are so helpful. We booked our trip and tuk tuks with them. Close to airport.

This is a new hotel in Luang Prabang, and some taxi drivers might not be aware of it yet. Just let them know it's near "Atsalin Restaurant." The room is tidy and a decent size. It's roughly a 12-minute walk or a 3-minute drive to the Mekong River, and about a 6-minute drive to Wat Xiengthong, which is the most well-known temple in Luang Prabang. The staff is friendly and helpful. You can also exchange your money for kip at the hotel.

Loved our 3 night stay in a poolside room. Friendly, helpful staff helped us with booking drivers and requests for ice. Breakfast was generous and various with fresh cooked omelettes and Lao noodle soups. Great spot to walk next door to Atsalin for a simple dinner or 10 minutes walk to the night market. Internet was good and the pool was a wonderful way to refresh after a day of exploring Luang Prabang. Would stay again.

A clean and cozy hotel, with a very nice staff and fresh breakfast. They even asked us what would we like to eat (outside of the already offered food) and prepared for us sticky rice with mango one morning. We stayed more nights and they surprised us with a Mekong sunset cruise. I would return without hesitation.

Our stay at vanluang was great. We enjoyed the staff and location. Anytime we needed something they did the best to help. The matter was were hard for me but perfect for others in our party. The rooms and pool were clean. We would recommend staying here for anyone. Overall it was good!
