Old fashioned rooms and hard bed but these aren’t major issues that should put you off staying

Very kind and helpful staff who when my girlfriend was poorly allowed us to have our room a little longer which I can’t thank them enough for. Pool area was kept very clean and tidy. Good location that you can walk to the main areas from

Far from the centre, approximately 25 minutes walk. There are no sunbeds at the swimming pool. My room was dark, and the cleanliness could be better. Overall the whole accommodation is a bit runned down, trash and unused stuffes in every corner. Strange smell and flies around the pool. Breakfast is just form 8:30 which is late, if you would like to catch the morning transfers

Swimming pool and spacious rooms for affordable price. WiFi is good and fast, and the staff is helpful, but the english speakig could have been better

No major shade to this place, rather the accommodation in Vientiane in general. Out of 7 weeks travelling in Vietnam and Laos, this was the most I had paid for a room, yet the least value for money. When I was looking up accommodation in Vientiane, this was the best I could find within (although actually above) my budget. Level of cleanliness - there were clean sheets of course, just the finishing touches like floors being fully cleaned. The age of the accomodation obviously makes it look a bit weathered. Staff said they could get me a tuktuk for 100,000 kip to the airport, when I could just get an air conditioned taxi on Loca for 90,000 kip myself. I thought a tuk tuk might be cheaper.

It was fine, just a bit old and dated and.not cleaned to the standard of places I had been staying in. Fine for a short stay if you need to stick within a certain budget. There is a pool, although I didn't use it.

The room had quite a lot of ants despite my efforts not keeping any food or trash in.

The location was quiet yet easy to find. Pool was clean, nice and deep. The Wifi worked well. I bought the breakfast one morning and it was tasty. The room was spacey and the bed comfortable. The service was friendly.

Anything obvious will be mentioned by more critical guests... Given the opportunity, I prefer ocean or freshwater swimming, but landlocked Laos lacks ocean access, and clean river or lake resorts can be hard to find or afford...As an urban retreat Villa Sisavad does very well

Basically the swimming pool without excessive toxic chemical additions - well maintained with an actually swimmable depth... For that reason alone I suggest 5 or 10 ⭐ star rating... Plus for a small guesthouse in a large city, Villa Sisavad offers a convenient comfortable stop for entry into or awaiting departure from PDR Lao...There are also tree shaded areas for lounging, socializing or eating.. Staff remain congenial & convivial...

We had ants in our room on the floors. The toilet flush is a drip of water and so was the tap to wash your hands. The room was passable for 1 night but very small. No breakfast included but you can pay extra however the amount they were asking for was not worth what you get for breakfast. It was a 30 minute walk from most things, restaurants, convenient stores so it is quite out the way.

The pool was nice although we didn’t get in, it’s a nice touch if you’re staying there long enough to use it. They dropped us at the airport for an additional fee so made our stay very easy.

Noisy mosquitoes destroyed our last night in Laos . No kettle in the room and useless ancient TV. Impossible to find anyone from the staff at night. Reception is closed at night. Water in the fridge is frozen.

No big expectations from 2 starts hotel. For this money it was ok. Swimming pool is clean. Room matched with photos .

There was a young unsupervised girl at the pool who I think was the daughter of the owners or other staff. She was kicking in the shallow section by the steps right near me, so I would get splashed on. There isn’t a lot of space around the pool, and at that hour there was really only one spot to catch the sun. As a guest I don’t really want to be put in a position where I am forced to interact with someone’s unsupervised child. The real downside to the property was the room. First they put me in a room that looked nothing like the room pictured when I booked. I shows them the picture, and they moved me to a room that did resemble the room. However it desperately needed a coat of paint. There were dark stains over the headboard like many greasy heads had been resting there - over a period of years! There were other stains and cracks in the walls. The paint was a dingy yellowed color which made the room feel dark because there is not a lot of natural light. The furniture was cheap, mismatched and frayed. The sheet on the bed was so threadbare I could see the mattress!! The lighting is TERRIBLE, just a fluorescent tube. Who wants oppressive unflattering light like that? No one ever. The hot water for the shower never got warmer than cool. With just a little investment of time and money this could be an adorable spot at great value. As is, it is far from the best option in town — even for a budget traveler. The pool can’t outweigh the crack den vibe of the room.

The pool is wonderful! It is well-maintained, deep and big enough to swim short laps the landscaping around it is very nice. It’s right by the road, so you do get a little traffic noise, but it isn’t bad.

Location. We are happy with local food, but even that was a bit far. To walk to the more tourist area where there were lots of restaurants was a 25 minute walk one way. There are scooter rentals in town though, and the hotel rents bikes. So that helps. But for our budget we were ok to be farther away, and eat local food anyways.

Ok, my review is based on the fact that these are very affordable rooms. So for the price, we were very happy to have a pool for our kids, and nice enough rooms. We were happy with the hotel in general. Nothing was bad, it was a friendly affordable place. I was glad they had bikes we could ride, and they helped book our tickets back to Bangkok
