The upper twin room on the chalet needs an AC. It did have a floor fan but it was a little too hot at night and just needs that extra bit of coolness.

The staff were great especially Imad on the front desk. My family was impressed by the facilities -the gym and yoga rooms are exceptional and spacious. The chalets were very well designed, comfortable and well equipped. The treatments on offer were good too. I almost forgot - the food was exceptional!!

No privacy for a family with the lack of doors to bedrooms. There should be 2 bathrooms for a 2 bed chalet - most families who are able to afford this property will have more luxury in their own home. For example, in our home, a family of 6 people, we have 3 bathrooms. We are not used to 4 people sharing one bathroom. Also, the property charged us before our arrival. This is not in line with other reservations made on Bookings.com. We had secured the booking with a card with which we didn’t intend to pay - we had 8-9 such bookings across Sri Lanka and had no such problem elsewhere. We wanted to pay from a local bank account to use local currency we had, but even before we arrived, the hotel charged the card on the reservation, incurring us an unnecessary £25 in bank charges. This should have been refunded to us, and we have been chasing the property for this, but no response. Very disappointing. Has left us with a bad feeling for a stay that was otherwise flawless.

The way to arrive to the hotel. It is up to the mountains and the road is long and narrow, but you arrive there by helicopter (there’s heliport there).

Facilities are awesome. It is a resort. The food was excellent and the staff is really friendly!! An experience to repeat!!!

If I could pick this hotel up and move it 15/20 minutes closer to Ella then it would be perfect! However, it didn’t stop us doing everything we wanted to do in Ella but you do need to plan carefully your activities for the day. Navigating the road to the hotel in the dark can be tricky so I would advise to arrive on day 1 in the afternoon before it gets dark. There is signage but it’s difficult to spot in the dark. I would have also have liked the gym to be open earlier in the morning so that I could have worked out before breakfast and before heading out to Ella for the day. The gym did not open until 8am but this is a personal preference.

The accommodation and food at this hotel is exceptional. The standard of service is extremely high and staff are very attentive. Our room we could not find one fault and the cleanliness of the housekeeping team was amazing. The amenities available in the room were welcomed especially to sit out on the balcony overlooking the natural beauty of the environment with a morning cup of coffee was perfect. We stayed for 3 nights and ate breakfast and dinner in the restaurant and also ordered room service. All the food we ate was amazing and of a very high standard, any specific requests we made were accommodated. We used the swimming pool and ventured out on the hiking trail which was lovely. The hotel surroundings are beautiful with wildlife, peacocks and dear to look out for.

The location was very far from anything it is isolated and nothing around although the hotel was one of the best. The restaurant in the hotel is very good but very expensive and since it is isolated location there is no other option.

Amazing location hidden away in the wilderness. Only shame is that we only had one night there. One slight observation is that the food prices are excluding tax and services charge so the final bill adds up to more than you think. Other than that great experience and value for money.

Gym can be a bit more equipped and there should be water kept there for guests who use the gym facility. The restaurant pricing can be relooked as I found it very steep from Sri Lankan standards, nevertheless food was tasty.

The location of the hotel is around 40 min from Ella, and the road is not straightforward. This is not smth to worry, but knowing it helps to plan accordingly.

Amazing new place with beautiful villas and stunning view over tea plantations from every villa. The villas are well decorated and equipped inside, the territory is very well maintained, the food is amazing - the best we had in SriLanka over 2 weeks.

The battery of the fire alarm was empty so in the middle of the night it started beeping. This is unfortunate and can happen, but we could not reach anyone to help, no one at reception, no phone number to call. It got fixed at 07.30 next morning. This ruined our new years night quite a bit.

What an amazing location with all the facilities you need. Our spa visit was amazing. We stayed for new year and the buffet was delicious. We were treated on local music and dancing which was appreciated.

long drive from Ella (+30 minutes) which does not make it easy to go out in the evening. Accommodation and Food is quite expensive compared to local standards. I had booked half board but was still over charged for (non alcoholic) drinks at dinner.

Nothing about the wellness resort itself, but unfortunately a large group with many loud young kids arrived and spoilt the peace and ambience . However the hotel staff were quick to manage this issue, so that helped a lot.

The stunning chalets and balcony views, the beautiful scenery, the amazing staff who could not do more for the guests, the delicious breakfasts and evening meals, and not forgetting the amazingly good spa treatment and masseuse!

We didn’t realise there was no alcohol on site (our fault for not checking!) We stayed over Christmas so this part was a bit of a disappointment for my husband (I was pregnant so no big deal for me). The small pool and wellness centre were not easily accessible from the chalets, which meant I couldn’t walk down and back up as I would have liked (they’re at the bottom of a hill). The pool is small and undercover.

Comfortable accommodation with gorgeous views. The beds were super comfortable and rooms kitted out with everything you need. The staff were helpful and accommodating and the food was delicious.

Food was a little pricey but as we weren’t spending on wine (it’s a dry resort) it wasn’t so noticeable.

This is a really special place. The chalets are gorgeous, comfortable and chic with the most incredible views. As a family of four with two children age 10 and 7 it was really refreshing how welcome they were made to feel. Often gyms don’t allow kids in but our two were welcomed in and loved our family workouts and the gym is well equipped with really interesting equipment. Air hockey by the pool was another highlight, as was the sauna and plunge pool which they both got stuck into! And because there aren’t many residences it was never crowded. The staff were so friendly and again, amazing with the kids. Our server Ranil made sure we were looked after once highest standard, and made some great recommendations of things for us to do in and around Ella. He even packed little snack packs for the kids to take on our day trips.
