There were occasional electricity blackouts, but they were short and didn’t affect our overall experience.

We loved everything about our stay! The hosts, Kasun & Janaka, made us feel like family. The villa has a peaceful, positive atmosphere, and the breakfast was delicious. We shared so many unforgettable moments together—learning Sinhala, cooking, swimming, riding scooters, watching sunsets, and even releasing baby turtles into the sea.

Initially booked the no AC room and it was way too hot, even with a fan, and there was no hot water in the shower.

I stayed at Blooming Polhena for one night with my partner, and it was a wonderful experience. The room was clean and comfortable, creating a cozy atmosphere perfect for a couple’s stay. The location is excellent, just a short walk from the beach, making it easy to enjoy the beautiful surroundings. The staff was friendly and accommodating, ensuring we had everything we needed. Overall, it was a peaceful and enjoyable stay highly recommend for couples looking for a relaxing getaway!

Wonderful little property tucked away. Smashing host. Comfortable room, big bed. Interesting shower...water came from everywhere but the shower head 🤣🤣 breakfast was lovely and there was loads of it! Really can't fault the place.

Absolutely LOVELY staff. We appreciated their kindness and generosity so much. They went out of our way to make our stay in Matara lovely. The room is extremely affordable and has all you need as a budget traveller!

Very nice and friendly hosts. The accommodation is closed to the beach in a very calm street. The garden is perfect to have lunch or to work. Wifi is very good as well. The room was clean and confortable. We only can recommend the place!

Honestly, there wasn’t much to dislike about my stay! If I had to nitpick, perhaps some areas could benefit from slight improvements, like adding more variety to the breakfast menu or enhancing Wi-Fi connectivity during peak hours. However, these were minor and didn’t take away from the overall fantastic experience.

What I liked most was the exceptional customer service. The staff’s genuine care and attentiveness made me feel valued and welcomed throughout my stay. They went above and beyond to ensure everything was perfect, and their friendliness created such a warm atmosphere. It’s rare to find a place where every team member is so dedicated to making your experience memorable!

We loved our stay here. It was a great value and exceeded our expectations. The staff and boss were very friendly. They treated us like family, let us use their washer for a minimal fee and served us hot tea when we came back from downtown during the storm. + The best wifi we had in Sri Lanka so far.
