Fantastic home stay away from busy central Kandy (easy tuk tuk service at 600RS). Beautiful, relaxing views over the river with birds, flying foxes and macaques. Clean room, comfortable bed and great shower 🙌. Food was superb & the cookery class highly recommended. Owners lovely and friendly. All great 😊

A wonderful room with a balcony and riverview. The owner couple are lovely people, who try to serve all your needs. We stayed two nights and can fully recommend the place. On the second day we had a cooking class, where could choose what we’ll cook and even went shopping with the owner first. By the time we returned his wife had everything set up and it took about 90 minutes to prepare 4 vegetarian curry’s, fish curry and one salad. And of course you’ll get your share to help preparing.

There was nothing we didn’t like.

The landlord and wife are extremely friendly and helpful, we stayed 4 days and had dinner there. It was a menu with several dishes, very tasty. The breakfast was also really good, fresh fruit, different types of bread, and served at this fantastic terrace directly at the river.The location at the river was very good, near to Kandy, but quiet and peaceful…. Thank you!!!

Stayed for one night only at Chaminrich Homestay but it was good! The host are friendly and welcoming. The rooms are spacious and clean with a nice view on the river. The option to spend your evening outside on the rooftop is a plus. In the morning a very tasty and extensive breakfast is served there as well.

Anusha makes the best coffee in Sri lanka and together with his wife serve up a delicious breakfast. Anusha is a lovely man so easy to talk to and he is always willing to help. The room was very comfortable with a lovely view of the river and if interested in birds you wont be disappointed.

Our stay here was amazing manly because of the great hostess. She was so welcoming and made us feel at home. The diners and breakfast were a feast and the cooking demonstration taught us a lot about the Sri Lankan cuisine. Spacious and clean room, balcony with river views and easy 5/10 minute drive to the city. We were sad to leave and would definitely return when in Kandy!

The area is very calm. No shops and restaurants in walking distance.

Nothing. We enjoyed being away from the busy city and easy to get a Tuk Tuk when you wanted to go in.

Beautiful location on the side of the river, away from the noise of the city. The hosts were very friendly and the food was exceptional. Room was very comfortable and had a lovely balcony with two chairs. Food was eaten on the upstairs roof and there were lovely views.

Very friendly hosts and delicious breakfast. We also had a tasty evening meal there. The hosts were very good at organising transport to the town and further afield. Great view from our bedroom. The taxi driver they arranged for us, Thilina, who took us to Dambulla was exceptional.

Very nice people, good view, nice room, modern bathroom. Breakfast is preparing on your eyes and you get a lot of tasty food. They ask you if you want more. Everything was very fine!

A large modern bedroom ,stylish decor . Very nice comfortable beds and nice bedding .Nice location overlooking the river .Breakfast is served on the terrace . The owner was so helpful when I left my medication behind and the owner arranged to get it to me He was so helpful.Would highly recommend

Chaminrich Homestay is set in a pretty and peaceful area of Kandy around a 10 minutes tuk tuk drive from the city centre. It's located in such a lovely spot right by the river and is a suburb we would never have discovered if we hadn’t been staying there. The family were so genuine, friendly and welcoming and couldn’t have been more helpful in terms of finding us an adapter and taxis etc. The room was clean and comfortable with a beautiful view of the river and the breakfast was great! We had breakfast on the rooftop overlooking the river each morning which was such a nice way to start the day. Thank you again for such a wonderful stay 🙏🏼

Everything was great!

Everything about this homestay was fantastic. The room was clean and very spacious and the situation of the property on the banks of the river was great. We had breakfast and dinner each day and both were superb as were the hosts who were so friendly and helpful. We would recommend Chaminrich to anyone wishing to stay near Kandy without being near the hustle and bustle of the centre. Thank you for a brilliant stay.

Wonderful relaxing stay with very friendly and welcoming hosts. Breakfast on the rooftop deck was awesome overlooking the river. Room and bed very comfortable and clean. Great Wi-Fi. Good air-conditioning. Lovely balcony to sit and watch the river and birdlife. Location requires transport to get into the main shopping area. Hosts always available to organise.

The owner of the house was more than kind. He arranged everything we needed and was very helpful. We stayed in Sri Lanka for 10 days and where at 6 Hotels. I can say that this Hotel has had by far the best price-value of them all

Nothing to dislike. Just the location is not in Kandy city centre. You may need a bike or call a tuk tuk going in and out from the location.

Everything. The host is very helpful,warm and friendly. He even picked us up from Kandy railway station for free.also arrange for our day trip to Siigiriya. The unit overseeing the nice and serene river. Food prepared was fantastic. The unit is rustic very authentic feeling.
