We have people and automated systems that specialize in detecting fake reviews submitted to our platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team so that our fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we'd publish every review we get, positive and negative. However, we won’t display any reviews that include or refer to (among other things):

When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (e.g. language, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). You can sort and/or filter them by time of year, review score, and more.
Sometimes we show external review scores from other well-known travel websites, but make it clear when we do this.

Sri LankaThe hot work is a little slow, and unable to adjust the temperature levels. Means, the temp is very low. Also, the bathrooms don't have soap and other toiletries.
The owner is friendly and helpful. He has arranged the place nicely. The prices were reasonable. The rooms were quite comfortable and they have provided nice blankets for us. This helps a lot to stay warm during the night. The place is right in front of the bus stop and you can easily get into a bus. Overall, we are quite happy 😀😀 of the service and the place. Recommended.

GermanyCool Mount Guest is a very nice low budget accommodation. The owners were nice and hosted us well, even though we experienced better hosts during our 3 weeks stay in Sri Lanka. I guess it was due to missing English skills, but still I think they can improve. The room was okay for the price, it was clean and we had everything we needed. The water was hot. Breakfast was very very good, I can highly recommend it.
