We stayed in one of the tree houses which was beautifully designed. Owner and staff were super accommodating going out of their way to make sure we were well taken care of. From great hospitality to arranging trips and drivers and even collecting us from the station. Thanks for an amazing time.

This is not really a feature that I don’t like. I think future guests should be aware. The outdoor bathroom was unique. It takes a bit of getting used to especially with the temperature difference.

We stayed in the two bedroom suite and it was amazing! Cool architecture with comfortable beds and great view of the gardens! The breakfast was delicious, made up of Sri Lankan pastries and freshly baked breads. Location was good as we were walking distance to a number of restaurants.

There are a few areas for improvement. The bed linen could be fresher, and the water pressure in the bathroom wasn’t strong enough, which was a bit inconvenient. Also, while the staff were polite, they didn’t really try to upsell or offer extras—like asking if we’d like a drink while relaxing by the pool. They could easily increase their revenue and enhance the guest experience with just a bit more proactive service.

I had a wonderful stay at Dudley Nature Resort. The place is peaceful and surrounded by beautiful nature—perfect for relaxing. I especially loved the garden, which was well-maintained and full of vibrant greenery. The pool area was clean and inviting, a great spot to unwind. The staff were also very friendly and helpful, always with a smile and ready to assist with anything. Overall, a great experience and I’d definitely visit again!

Bathroom had room for improvement as it was a bit outdated, lacked a few toiletries too. Wifi speed was slightly below expection unfortunatley the WiFi stop working on our final evening..

Very friendly staff, very accommodating. The environment and scenery was spectacular along with the food being very tasty and a lovely BBQ on our last night.

Air conditioning in standard room could have been better.

Lovely guesthouse surrounded by trees and wildlife and very accessible to Habarana town. The pool was very welcome after a hot day out sightseeing and the staff were friendly and helpful. I had a one night free upgrade to the tree house which was a nice surprise, thanks Dudley.

The bathroom could be quite easily freshened up as it doesn’t look well kept anymore. Still functional and nice warm water available.

For us this was a hidden gem in Habarana. Jungle vibes, very helpfull and welcoming staff, delicious breakfast and dinner, comfortable rooms and a pool to cool down after sightseeing and safari. We recommend this place for everybody who likes to experience something different and wish to relax in the middle of beautiful nature.

Beautiful setting amongst the trees with nature all around. Dudley and his son were very good in arranging pickups, trips and giving general advice on how best to make the most of our stay. Staff were very pleasant and obliging. The BBQ was great but the Sri Lankan curries were delicious

The room and bathroom could do with more ventilation, the bathroom had mould on the ceiling.

Amazing pool and beautiful garden, friendly staff and owner, super delicious dinner and breakfast and safari that was arranged through them was great! We saw more animals in the garden than on our first safari in Wilpattu!

Check your bill, Dudley tried to add service charge and when asked what it was for he says "oh how did that get there!". He was always questioning why we didn't buy dinner at the hotel, but we found it overpriced. Rooms were dark and the bedding tired, only 1 of the 3 rooms had a mosquito net. No kettle. Slow breakfast service

Tree house was quirky but we had to ask for toiletries and tea and coffee as stated on the room descriptions (which were brought ASAP) . Floor needed a good sweep and shower didn’t work very well. Possibly we would stay in a room next time then we would avoid these issues. Overall it was a good resort.

Lovely gardens and pool which sadly we did not use due to poor weather. Very nice friendly staff and excellent breakfast and evening meals. Most minor issues were sorted straight away by Dudley and his sons. We liked sitting outside the tree house watching the monkeys and the birds.

We were only given a bedsheet, would have been nice to have a quilt.

Dudley is great, always looking for ways to make our trip even better, such a friendly host. Breakfasts were the best we’ve had at any accommodation in Sri Lanka, and the location is good, a 10 minute walk to the cafes and restaurants of Habarana.

It's in the middle of the jungle so expect rooms that are subject to high humidity.

Dudley was really kind and welcoming! He helped us arrange transportation here and there and even got us a good deal on a last minute safari. The pool is really a gem after the hike in Sigiriya. The dinner offered was nice and the rest of the staff was also kind people. Would recommend!

Room was unappealing, no windows and needs a little TLC. Never felt very comfortable.

The room is very basic. We found some ants and worms in the bed, but saw that it is quite normal for guesthouses in the nature. Bathroom does not have a shower box. To reach the centre at night you need a tuk tuk / driver (I would not recommend walking).

The resort has a beautiful garden and swimming pool. The owner is very friendly and cooks very well, offering guests the possibility to taste the wide range of local dishes. He also organises cooking classes and dinner.
