Very friendly and welcoming hosts, spacious, clean and airy room with a very nice balcony and view, very tasty and huge breakfast, perfect location as it’s super close to the beach and also in a quiet place, many cafes and restaurants nearby. Highly recommend! Definitly one of the best places we stayed in whole Sri Lanka.

Excellent room with a balcony looking over the sea. The hosts were amazing, cooked a delicious breakfast for us each morning and Jaga was kind enough to take us to the fish market at the local harbour and show us around

Jaga and his wife are very nice people who made us welcome. The guesthouse is in a quiet street close to the beach and the bus stand. You can see the sea from the verandah and breakfast area. Breakfast was delicious, try the spicy omelette! We can recommend this guest house 🙂

An weekends it could get a bit loud, because there are many hotels around and they like to party with LOUD music but the Music was switched off around 1am

Accommodation at Jaga home was great. The room was clean, with a balcony and a sea view. Jaga and his family were very caring, helped, advised, nothing was a problem. The breakfast was excellent, every day they tried to prepare us something different from Sri Lankan cuisine. The accommodation is very close to the beach as well as the city center. I highly recommend it.

Fantasric location close to town, bus station, market and local restaurants but also in a quiet street very close to a safe swimming beach and the fishing harbour. Super friendly, hospitable and helpful family. Very large comfortable room, delicious breakfast, quiet aircon, great water pressure, comfy bed and a beautiful sea view from the balcony. Good value for money, this place ticks all the boxes and definately recommended.

Jagath and his family gave me a very warm welcome and were so friendly and helpful throughout my stay. The room was comfortable with everything you need, with a lovely view out to sea… sleep with the door open and you’ll be in heaven. For me the location was perfect, close to town (for the best local food and market) and a more authentic experience of Tangalle, which is absolutely charming. Smile and the town smiles back at you.

I and my husband spent lovely time at JAGA HOME! Owner Jaga and his wife treatted us as a friends. They are amazing, helpfull and kind people. They reccommended us what we should see in neibeirhood and they answered every single question or offered solutions for every need.. They arranged renting of scooter for us with fair price. The room is clean with beach view. The breakfast is basic, continental version but you are able to feel full belly :) My husband almost ate whole loaf of bread :P At JAGA HOME you will feel like at home!! In deep of my heart I reccomend this place and owners. They make wonderful atmosphere which you can feel every day of your stay.❤️

We were a bit aprensive about this property as there were no reviews but we were very happy. The location was great with a view of the sea. A 5 minute walk from the bus station & close to many restaurants. We had breakfast included, toast, butter, jam, omelette, fruit & tea. Excellent value for money. Tangalle is a great town & we would definitely recommend Jaga home

we spent three great nights in this hotel. the hotel is close to both the city center and the beach. we had a room with a nice balcony and a sea view. the rooms are clean, with storage to put your things. hot shower. the owner and his wife are lovely people. the breakfasts, especially Sri Lankan, are delicious, to recommend without hesitation.

Cockroaches in our room. Owners must be aware of it as they prepare a spray to kill them. Room is quite dirty. Poor breakfast. Only cold water in the shower. 10 min walk to the beach

Sorry to say,but we were very disappointed because the room didn t correspond with the description on Booking and also with not understandable high rating -no free toiletries (only toilet paper and small soap),no tile or marble floor,no TV,no mosquito net,no electric kettle..Also wifi first day was not working..The room and bathroom needs renovation and proper cleaning.Unfortunately it was our worst experience here in Sri Lanka.

Never really felt welcomed by the family, more like it was a nuisance to be there, opposed to any other accommodation we have had in Sri Lanka. The room had no soap, toilet paper, towels, blankets and we had to ask for everything

View of the sea and balcony is nice. It was ok for 1 day

As soon as arrived we were sat down and owner went through all the "rules". There is a curfew of 10 pm so if staying out later must pre organise or won't get in the gate. Doesn't leave much room for being spontaneous. Was disappointed that it was advertised as beachfront so I expected to be overlooking the beach and sea but was facing a 3 storey apartment block which had loud building work from 8 am and all day. It is actually one block back from the beach. Room had alot of wires from the wall like hadn't quite finished everything off. Breakfast was a huge pile of sliced white bread with an omelette. At breakfast owner was carrying around prawns and trying to sell you dinner whilst you are eating . All a bit off-putting and bizarre.

Good location from town centre , beach and bus station. loved Tangalle, had a nice local feel to it and very cheap local food in the town centre. Friendly couple as long as you do as you are told.
