Very impersonal. Most Staff is not as warm as in small hotels in the area. Breakfast is very expensive with 20 usd per person. The pool water was very warm, not refreshing at all. The food was also only average.

the view was stunning and the bed was quite comfortable. The pools were big and nicely located as well.

I didn’t like booking.com restrictions. I did B&B basis but I wanted to make it full board, once we entered the hotel since my parents are old. But hotel refused, I tried calling booking.com had the most horrible customer experience. Since we took all 3 meals from hotel we lost lot of money due to my decision of using booking.com

The air conditioning needs revamping. Could not work it as the temperature control was faulty. Was fixed immediately. The Ac was also noisy through the night.

Location was fantastic. Fish restaurant and bar food was great. Staff very friendly- even when one of the English guests was being down right rude. Hope the management support the staff at the hotel.

The shower walls and floor had mold on the grouting, overall the bathroom could have been cleaner. Aircon was not strong enough for us. Noisy extractor fan in the toilet

Situated right by the coastline with amazing sunsets, spacious rooms. Lovely view from our balcony.

The value for money is slightly lower compared to Heritage Kandalama Hotel.

Great design by Geoffrey Bawa. It is a place worthy of visit and stay. A good combination of the cliff view and relaxing room, and also nice location to reach after traveling in Galle Fort.

Parking across the road was inconvenient especially as one has to cross the road where traffic moves very fast. Need to have parking on the hotel side at least for the in house guests.

Everything was excellent. Lunch buffet very good and breakfast buffet was first class.

As always, staying at the Lighthouse was a wonderful experience, made even more lovely by the quality of service provided by Upeka and her team. The property and rooms itself were stunning, and the food was excellent as always. Will always come back!

We had ants in our sink but didn’t complain as we only stayed one night. Also, the checkout was in a different place to checking in. You have to wait outside and there is no ac.

Very nice, clean, comfortable, facility availability was fanatic. Staff very friendly and polite. Breakfast selection and pool area was amazing.

- Staff are very friendly but considering hotel was low occupancy service was very slow at times - Some simple requests were oddly denied: Unable to make french fries but had potato wedges ready, unable to make ice coffee but had coffee available? - smoke from pizza oven makes some parts of hotel very hazy..

After checking in , we were given a room on the 3rd floor which did not have access by elevator. I expressed my deep dissatisfaction about this & with great difficulty , after the resident manager was called in , he changed the room to the ground floor.

The location of the room over looking the sea. The spray of the sea waves was touching our balcony. Ships sailing on the high seas could be seen from our room. Room was comfortable. There was a power problem, that was attended immediately by the electrical technician. Room & toilet was clean , spacious. Breakfast & food menu was good. Staff were very helpful & cooperative. Mr. Alvis ( captain )in the restaurant was proactive & hospitable.

The hotel needs a written pamphlet explaining location & types of restaurants Available. Hours of opening of pools , gym , bars etc Unless you are on the website constantly You’ll be struggling to find staff to help .

Hotel is really beautiful, staff very pleasant. Pool only open 8-7pm We found the restaurant (smorgasbord ) Very expensive : 19000LKR for 2 . Sadly , extremely noisy & very congested until 9:30 pm each night ( however hotel was full ) we could not stand the noise so moved to eat outside with the heat & bugs!

Waiting for dinner was on average over an hour, drinks were slow to arrive. They had three restaurants but only one kitchen, staff were running from pillar to post to get orders in and out. F&B was uncoordinated and lacks management and planning, it’s a pity and could spoil the overall experience.

Spacious room and good size bathroom and dressing area. Sea view is amazing . Breakfast buffet is great and plenty options. Staff is very friendly and attentive. The spa facilities are beautiful. 2 huge swimming pools to chose from
