The room was clean, comfortable, and safe, complete with all relevant amenities. The hosts were very professional. The breakfast was delicious - I loved the fresh avocado juice! The property is located close to the Hikkaduwa beach and many restaurants. I would definitely recommend this stay!

Water pressure was good, no blackouts, the owner is always near, they can easily cook you whatever you bring to them, as they have a kitchen on the first floor, the AC worked great, overall good experience, I would suggest it over the hotel. The breakfast is basic

It’s not that I didn’t like the noise of the trains but occasionally a freight train would go by at night and was very loud but, honestly, you hardly notice them after a few going past.

Very clean property. Shoes taken off at vestibule so no outdoor dirt brought in. Breakfast was amazing,served on patio outside. Staff were very friendly and polite.

Good location. Easy to walk to the beach. Lots of cafes and restaurants nearby. The staff were really helpful. Nice balcony overlooking the tracks. The trains aren't very frequent so noise didn't bother us. We got breakfast included. It was nice and light compared to some others we had on the trip (few bits of toasts and eggs). Bed was comfy and room spacious.

Towels didn’t smell very fresh, the corridors smell quite strongly and are very hot. You can hear the trains but like once a day and really don’t think it’s an issue.

Lucky, the Ukrainian lady (so sorry can’t remember your name) and the other staff working there were so lovely and helpful. Location is really close to Main Street/beaches, restaurants, shops etc. lovely juice at breakfast - long breakfast service until 11am. Room so cheap but still get eggs and toast and jam and very nice butter :)

It was a Beautiful room with a nice clean bathroom and an balcony. There was a well working AC. The breakfast was good and available from 8-11. when we arrived they showed us a map with all the best places to go to.

The pictures don't show well that the hotel is located right at the train tracks, it is quite noisy in the night. On top it's close to the main street that is also very crowded, so the setting is not very relaxing. The guests are requested to leave the shoes outside and walk with bare feet inside all hotel spaces.

The room was large and clean. Bathroom was very good with hot water and large shower. Breakfast was good but only western style, local one has to be ordered in advance. The staff was very friendly and allowed us to keep the luggage beyond the check out time and we were able to use the shower after. The location is good, 2 min from the beach.

All the staff were super welcoming. As a female traveling alone I felt very safe here. The room had everything I needed with a little fridge and the balcony. It is very central to both beaches and all the shops. They offer a local breakfast which I highly recommend trying!

This did not bother me, but some people might be sensitive to the occasional train noise. Note that the lodge is located next to railroad tracks. I suggest that you request a room in the back side of the hotel in advance if this is a problem for you. They will try to meet all such requests...but you should request in advance.

I stayed at L&D for three weeks and was happy the whole time I was there. The staff is happily RESPONSIVE to any requests. Anytime I walked downstairs, someone was there to see if I needed anything. Very nice and filling breakfast every day. Comfortable common area for relaxing and nice balconies. I was happy to have a kettle and small fridge so I could prepare my own simple snacks as needed. The wifi worked great. A nice swimming beach with calm water is in easy walking distance as well as several good restaurants.

Everything is great except of the location of the accommodation. It's next to the railway, which is extremely loud.
