Read more– opens a dialog boxEach review score is between 1 and 10. To get the overall score you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of them. We use a weighted review system, which means the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. Guests can also give separate “subscores” in crucial areas like location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value, and free Wifi. Note that guests submit their subscores and overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an accommodation that you booked through our platform if you stayed there, or if you got to the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialize in detecting fake reviews submitted to our platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team so that our fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we'd publish every review we get, positive and negative. However, we won’t display any reviews that include or refer to (among other things):
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out. We may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old, or if the accommodation has a change of ownership.
An accommodation can reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (e.g. language, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). You can sort and/or filter them by time of year, review score, and more.
Sometimes we show external review scores from other well-known travel websites, but make it clear when we do this.
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly, without limiting expression or strong opinions. They're also applicable regardless of the comment's tone.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. Promotional content will be removed and issues concerning Booking.com’s services should be routed to our Customer Service or Accommodation Service teams.
Contributions should be appropriate for a global audience. Please avoid using profanity or attempts to approximate profanity with creative spelling, in any language. Comments and media that include hate speech, discriminatory remarks, threats, sexually explicit remarks, violence, or the promotion of illegal activity are not permitted.
All content should be genuine and unique to the guest. Reviews are most valuable when they are original and unbiased. Your contribution should be yours. Booking.com property partners should not post on behalf of guests or offer incentives in exchange for reviews. Attempts to bring down the rating of a competitor by submitting a negative review will not be tolerated.

SpainWe were a little disappointed with the safari. We thought it would be different when we read the description. But at the end it was the same kind of safari. It seemed more like a race. We were chasing the animal, waiting on a long queue just to take the picture. Of our morning's safari we were more running than enjoying the nature. Our guide just nice but he was always talking to us when the jeep moving so it was a little hard to understand him. After our 3 safaris in Sri Lanka we can say sadly that this was the one we liked the least. The dinner was fantastic but the meat was overcooked.
The property is a very big place where you can have a nice walk by your one, a few steps from the Yala National Park's border. Our tent, the suite, was very nice! With a very big and comfortable bed, two big fans and a very beautiful decoration. The whole tent was amazing! The entire staff is wonderful, very attentive and polite. We joined the evening's walk with Aruna and it was the best experience. He shared is knowledge with us, showing us many different types of plants, insects and good information. He's an snake's expert so if you like he can show you pictures of him dancing with snakes ;) He's very pleasant and intelligent! It was one of the best things to do at the camp! We also joined the night's safari with Samir, he also hosted the dinner telling us some stories by the bonfire. The dinner was very beautiful, illuminated by moonlight and flames. Magic.

NetherlandsVery nice tent, we had the family large tent. The beds slept very well, each with a fan. Nice style. Extremely friendly staff, as everywhere in Sri Lanka. Outdoor dinner set-up around fire was beautiful. The food was ok, but we have had better in other places. The safari guide was very knowledgeable!

United KingdomThe beds were quite hard, and an extra pillow would have been appreciated. Towels, although clean, were very stained and worn. Switching to a darker color would be more sensible. Price is on the high side for the level of comfort provided. Yala National Park Experience: The park itself is stunning, with amazing scenery, but the behavior of many guides and drivers from outside hotels was very disappointing. Vehicles raced along the tracks like a Formula 1 race, revving engines and jostling for position at rare animal sightings. This completely detracted from the wildlife experience. We saw some wildlife – water buffalo, three elephants, two crocodiles, deer, and some lovely birds – but no leopards, despite the park’s reputation. If you’re expecting abundant wildlife or a serene safari experience, this may not be the place. However, as a scenic drive with the chance of spotting something interesting, it is still enjoyable.
We had a wonderful stay with some truly memorable highlights, though a few areas could be improved. The warm welcome we received on arrival was excellent and set the tone for our stay. The location is perfect, very close to the Yala National Park entrance. The dining experience was a highlight – dinner around the bonfire was magical. The food was delicious, with the soup being especially tasty. Our children absolutely loved toasting marshmallows around the fire in the evening. Waiter Timara was superb – friendly, courteous, and attentive. Tents were comfortable (though not luxurious), and housekeeping serviced them daily. The swimming pool was a welcome spot to cool down after the hot afternoons. A particularly thoughtful touch: after one afternoon safari, we returned to find bowls of warm water waiting to soak our dusty feet – perfect! We enjoyed both the afternoon and night guided walks. The guides were knowledgeable, and these walks were a great way to spend an hour exploring the local wildlife. A charming and comfortable stay with wonderful staff, great food, and thoughtful touches, but with room for small improvements in bedding and linens. The experience of Yala National Park itself may not live up to expectations for wildlife enthusiasts, though the hotel makes the visit as pleasant as possible.

United KingdomThe food left much to be desired. The staff communication wasn't very good before we arrived, we tried to book a transfer with them but they only replied after we had already arrived. It also appears that the "nicer" areas were closed and only the chill out zone open was shared with another camp. I assume this was because it was the off season, but we only discovered the nicer areas because we had an explore beyond our tent. That being said, I'd still recommend a night or two. The safari was good but more expensive than if you book elsewhere.
This place was lovely, a great stop over for a day or two if you are wanting to do a safari in Yala park. The tent is very nice, the beds are comfy.

SingaporeIt’s just nothing special. Felt like I could find better value arranging my own safari. BBQ should be buffet style, meat might as well have been cooked in the kitchen.
Staff were really nice people. Country vibes. Good communal fire in the evening. The evening stroll around the neighbourhood was pleasant.

FranceAmazing staff and welcome. Excellent rooms with much more confort then we could have imagined for a place in the limit of the national park. Nice guide for the short night walk (don’t expect too much from it though, it’s 1h walk around the camp) and the next day safari tour. Thank you Samir for the explanations and nice talks!

AustraliaThe shower was average and hot water didn't really work. BUT you are camping and our tent was furtherest from the main camp, so maybe that's why. The beds weren't super comfortable, the mattress was a bit thin, as were the pillows. Breakfast was average and dinner was OK but we only stayed 1 night, so it was fine enough.
The set up of the tent is beautiful. They've put some thought into decoration and how it's all presented. We had a troop of grey faced langurs that lived near our tent, so that was enjoyable to watch 😍 staff were helpful and friendly. The afternoon stroll was nice enough, nothing magnificent or anything, but it was a good experience because of MJ and his humour and knowledge of the animals.

United KingdomIt was very expensive for one night, and we were under the impression we would be one of the first guests in the park for the morning safari but we were just with everyone else.
The tents were cool. The candle lit dinner and evening nature walk was a night touch.

United KingdomWould have liked food to be more authentic, but it was nice. I would recommend just doing one night here and bookinh afternoon safari as a lot of being in tent.
The safari was well done - knowledge of wildlife and ethical. It was our honeymoon so they gave us a good tent. Lots of perks for it being a tent - shower, fan, bed and toilet. Food was good.
