The individual bungalows are set in a beautiful tranquil garden. Kennath the owner was extremely helpful, the staff were all friendly. Rice and curry dinner was delicious. Kennath ordered a pizza for us before our late evening flight.

We only spent one night there before our flight. The garden is very pretty, the room is spacious and clean with everything we needed. We didn’t have enough tome to enjoy the pool unfortunately. The owner was very nice.

What a beautiful place to start our trip to Sri Lanka, and we are so looking forward to spending the last night of our trip here too. It’s is impeccably clean, incredibly peaceful and the staff is wonderful.

A true Japanese gem in the heart of Negombo. I received the warmest welcome of my whole trip in Sri Lanka. The garden is peaceful and charming, and the little houses are both lovely and very comfortable.

Liked everything

The tropical surroundings and the individual huts are relaxing and have a local feel. The huts are clean and stylish, with a separate sitting area looking into nature. Kaneth the manager is friendly and around if you need anything. Transport to places further inland, or local tuktuk can be arranged. Breakfast and dinner are optional and are delicious and freshly prepared. This is a peaceful place with a modern approach. Great pool.

We stayed in Mango house for the first 2 nights and the last 2 nights of our trip to Sri Lanka, and it was perfect for us! After our long flight it was great to have a clean and quiet place to relax. The garden is amazing and the beds are great. We were lucky to see a lot of fireflies on the first 2 nights as well! We were happy to return for our last 2 days as we knew we’d be at a relaxing spot for our final hours in Sri Lanka. We stayed in a family room (cottage 10) and it was spacious and had everything we needed. It was actually bigger than it looked on the photos. The food is also very tasty and the hosts are very accommodating. All in all we would definitely recommend Mango House to anyone looking for a stay in Negombo

So relaxing and clean. Japanese female staff was there. I am coming back in one week time to stay again and happy doing it. It is among the local residence areas away from noisy downtown yet not too far with tuk tuk.

After arriving in Sri Lanka late at night after a 18 hours of travel we were transported to Mango House in a van arranged for us by Kenath. Fantastic service, and we arrived to the most wonderful room for our family of four. Super tidy, clean, cool and comfy. Our whole family still dreams about the breakfasts at Mango House. At first I was worried they weren’t your standard rice and curry, but the sandwiches with amazing bread, fruit, tea, coffee were all fabulous. The spicy fish sandwich was so good. We loved the pool, the amazing property with stunning gardens, and clear Japanese influence.

Very nice location if your flight arrives late at night. The accommodation offers very cheap pick up from the airport. They can arrange other transportation, trips and tuk tuk for you and give advice what to see. The host is very friendly and so is his Japanese coworker. It is very clean, nice swimming pool too.

We arrived after midnight and travelling with our teenagers, all very tired. The owner greeted us, organised our airport taxi so all very stressed free. Our room was immaculate surrounded by nature. Air con was super quiet yet efficient. I’m a gardener so really enjoyed the planting. Lots of love poured into making this a special place to unwind. Our girls especially enjoyed the swimming pool, again clean. Loved our first day in Sri Lanka. I don’t often give a 10 as there’s always room to Improve. But the guest house deserves a 10 review. Thank you 🙏

Beautiful cottages in beautiful garden. Kenath was very friendly and helpful. We stayed only 2 nights. Lots of birds around and can here them singing early mornings. Excellent breakfast and dinner. I would strongly recommend this place for everyone if you are planning to visit Negombo.
