The host and her son were such a lovely person! ♡ They gave us good recommendations for our journey in Sri Lanka and for the best and warm-hearted tuk-tuk driver in Kandy. The rooftop tarace was nice with a good view.

The hosts are really hosts that make you feel safe and comfortable. I liked the stay so much. We are traveling since months through sri lanka and this was by far the most honestly caring space. I am very thankful for this experience. Usually i dont do reviews, but for this house i have to make an exception, since i really value our time at the BRICK HOUSE.

The room was very nice, and the host was so attentive and helpful. Located on a steep hillside, it's important to know before venturing on foot, but the view is worth it.

Auntie and her son were amazing, welcoming, respectful and discreet. Great communication, if not with a perfect english always with smiley eyes. I felt home, cared for and comfy. Auntie would not close the gate till I was inside and safely inside a tuktuk. They gave me good advice about Kandy. I absolutely loved them. And the room was giant, basic but super clean. I loved the outside.

NIce and big room on the first floor. Very nice hosts and lovely breakfast. The guesthouse is located above Kandy's viewpoint, so it's a bit far from the main city (which is nice but also it's uuuupp the hill). Lovely stay.

We had a great time in Kandy and its also thanks to this nice family ! They are really helpful and kind. Place is located really well on the heights of Kandy, a bit away from the crowd and near to the best places to see the sunset !

Air in the room is humid, but a fan and open windows help with this situation.

Hosts are the kindest people in the world! When we arrived, host made us coffe, gave buns and youghurt. In the morning they let us use kitchen to make ourselfs breakfast. Room is great, there is a little terrace to enjoy morning coffe outside. Room is spacious, very clean, bed and pillows are comfy. We really enjoyed our stay here!

The Brick House Kandy is the perfect stay for backpackers who want more than the usual dorms/ hostels. It is situated 10mins walk up from the city centre. It is a large room with connected ensuite (steps up to it). There is a small terrace area out front where we enjoyed watching the rain. Due to the monsoons, there is a slight musty smell , but it is mitigated by opening windows and airing the room out. Best of all is the host who kindly made us teas and coffees every day to sit on the terrace and relax. She gave us lovely vanilla set yoghurts and also gave us the contact details of Aja, a sweet tuk tuk man who took us around the city on half day tours. I would definitely recommend staying here!

With the rainfall, the room smells very musty and it doesn’t go away. I feel like this should be disclosed when booking the room.

For the price the property offers everything you would need. The owner is very helpful and kind.

The brick house was a great location and had a very homely feel to it. The family that live here were incredibly helpful and kind as we actually got poorly from eating somewhere in the city so they took us to their affordable family doctor to help us get better and made sure we were comfortable and fed well

The location is good, close to some restaurants and a short walk to the lake with views of Kandy by day or night. Our room was right next to a balcony for morning coffee and tea with birds and local wildlife. But the landlady was really wonderful and friendly who made sure that our stay was as comfortable as possible.

We really like the location of the accomodation in a quiet area, while still close to the centre and the lake with a beautiful viewpoint nearby. The room is very big and clean and a fan was more than enough to keep it cool. The shower is very nice with easily adjustable temperature. The hostess is the absolute sweetest woman who takes care of you like a mom. She can help you with a tuktuk driver/tour and she even gave us some delicious food when we were in a rush to make it to the train.
