You will go up a steep driveway upon arrival. The road isn't in great condition as of today but its serviceable. There are other homestays that use the same driveway as well. There was a guard dog who is chained but barks aggressively whenever you walk by. It belongs to another host though. Follow the road all the way to the end to find this homestay. The WiFi is slow at times, but this may be due to circumstances outside of the control of the host. Not anyones fault, but just be aware - it gets cold at night.

There will likely be a woman there to check you in. She may not speak your language but she is helpful and will call her son if needed. The view is great. You can see for many miles from the property. Blankets are provided as well as a water heater - essential for the area. It gets chilly at night.

The host was very gracious and kind, he helped us book our trip to Horton Plains and gave us plenty of information about sights and activities in the area. The room was clean, very comfortable and there was a hot shower and excellent WiFi. The location is quiet and only a short walk (10min) away from the city centre

Its really really cold ! Make sure u bring warm clothes even for sleeping or ask the owner for a heater we didnt think to ask maybe they can provide!

I felt like an english aristocrate. The house stays on the edge of an eukalypt forest, but also it's quick to reach the bus station.

Slight mould in the bathroom

Great place in Nuwara Eliya: although it has a decent location, you feel like you're in the countryside, far from noise and hassle. The upper room that we stayed in is compact but with a great atmosphere and windows on 3 sides.

The bed was too small to be considered a double bed. It was hardly semi-double. Tried to order food online, but wasn't successful. I had to go out at night in very cold weather. Knowledge of the timetable for bus routes or trains would be an added advantage for any homestay. I was told that there are AC buses/tourist buses to Colombo every hour. But at the bus stop, I found that it was not correct.

The room was cozy and beautiful. arrangement of tea and electric kettle. The landlady and her son were amazingly friendly and nice. The beautiful garden.

Honestly, this was my best homestay in Srí Lanka. It's calm, next to the forest and the owners are really helpful and warm-hearted. The room was clean and cozy, I finally had warm water 😊 The terasse is just an extra, which makes the whole stay just more enjoyable. I come back 😊

The only little downside we came across was that the room (we’ve had the room upstairs) was a bit cold and there is no radiator. However the family provided us with second blanket and it was all fine.

Calm and cozy accommodation resembling a nice farmstead isolated from the noise of the city. There is really everything you would need. The owner and his family was really nice. If you decide to book this Homestay, and we could recommend that, prepare to pay for your stay upon arrival.
