The Owner was so kind! He was as kind as a Japanese worker. The room rate was so low and it was so comfortable. The breakfast was so delicious and large portions. I'll come back to the hotel when I visit Nuwara Eliya next time. Thank you so much for being kind to me.

Sanjeewa and family really looked after me and made me feel welcome. The home cooked beef curry I had was so far the best I ate in Sri Lanka. The rooms were very clean and comfortable. I highly recommend staying here.

I recently stayed at RUCHI HOUSE and I’m 100% satisfied with my experience! The entire place looked absolutely beautiful and had a fresh, welcoming feel from the moment I arrived. Everything was neat, clean, and thoughtfully arranged. The host was extremely polite and made me feel completely at home. Their hospitality truly added a personal touch that made my stay even more memorable. Overall, I highly recommend RUCHI HOUSE to anyone looking for a comfortable and refreshing home stay. I would definitely love to visit again!

Nothing negative about this place

The owner goes out of his way to assist you, drive me around in his tuk tuk. The breakfast is western and Sri Lanaken style and plentiful. Big clean room with a good warm shower. Would recommend this place

Our stay was wonderful, the house is beautiful, the rooms are spotless and the breakfast was really good. But the best part of our stay were the owners, they are kind, lovely and always happy to help you. We highly recommend Ruchi House, if we ever come back we would definitely stay here again!

The hosts were so friendly and accommodating, lovely breakfast and they brought us to Damro tea factory for a tour before dropping us to the train station on our day of departure at a very good price. Room was so cosy and comfortable- we loved our stay here!

An absolutely wonderful place to stay in Nuwara Eliya. The house was built in the 1970s and was the family house of Mr. Sunny. I felt like I was experiencing the life of Nuwara Eliya. I have never in my travels seen a house more lovingly maintained. It was I-MMA-CU-LATE! Mr.Sunny and his wife did EVERYTHING to make us feel special and we'll taken care of. You will really feel thar you have not come to a hotel, but that you are visiting your family. They are not hotel owners; they are hoteliers--gifted in the art if hospitality.

A kind and incredibly professional couple. The room was very large, perfectly clean, and tastefully arranged. Even the blankets and sheets smelled wonderful. The host was incredibly kind, and anything you needed was available. We also arranged our visit to Horton Plains National Park with their own tuk-tuk, and they even packed a very neat breakfast for us to eat inside the park. The location is excellent, close to Lover's Leap Waterfall and the Pedro Tea Factory, about a half-hour walk at most, or you can even take a bus. Overall, everything was at its best. We'll definitely miss the landlord, who was a true gentleman, and his kind wife. We hope to see them again.

I would not recommend anyone to stay in Ruchi House. We r couples traveling from India on holidays. We booked this hotel a month before. A night before the booking date hotel owners drop us message that we should cancel our booking as rooms are not up to mark. They left us nowhere and we were shocked by the behavior of the owners. They were rude and just dropped us whatip message to cancel our booking. Don't make a mistake to book your rooms in Ruchi House as they r unprofessional and rude. I then booked another hotel Cocon Hills at almost same price which is 4.5 star and amazing hotel with 1000 better facilities and property. Cocoon Hills is close to City center market, and post office. Place and surrounding area is amazing and breakfast was super delicious. At last I suggest booking app to remove Ruchi House from your website and I will ensure they r legally sued. Thanks

Lovely old colonial house. Very clean & comfy. The hosts are lovely and very helpful. Our home cooked dinner was one of the best meals of our holiday. Great value for money.

Noisy location. Music from adjacent shops is on thru late evening. You can hear people passing by and their talk. Traffic noise.

The hosts are wonderful and honest. The food was excellent! Best dahl in Sri Lanka! Clean accomodation. Great service picking us up and dropping us off at train station at fair price. If you are on a budget yet discerning, this is a good place!
