Big clean and comfortable room with good ac and big bathroom. Hosts were friendly and helpful and organised a safari for us. Very clean in comparison to other homestays in the area. 5 mins walk to restaurants and more 10-15 mins walk away too.

We stayed for 3 nights and it was an excellent choice for the price (around USD 20 per night). The hospitality of the family who runs the place is outstanding – always friendly, helpful, and ready to assist with recommendations, transport, or activities. The location is perfect for visiting Sigiriya and the surrounding area, in a quiet spot but still close to everything. The room and beds are simple but comfortable, matching the price, and the cleanliness was impeccable. A great option for anyone looking for basic comfort, warm hospitality, and unbeatable value for money.

We had a wonderful stay at Sigiriya Amenity Home Stay. The location was ideal — just a short distance from both Sigiriya and Pidurangala. The hosts were incredibly warm and accommodating, making us feel right at home. And the breakfast? Absolutely lovely — a perfect start to the day. Highly recommended!

There were lots of ants in the room but once we mentioned it to the staff they were very quick to sort it out. The host was friendly but a little bit pushy for booking activities.

The room was a decent size. The breakfast included was very nice. The location was good with lots of nice restaurants nearby. It was close to Lions rock.

Very nice and clean place, with spacious room. Very nice open area for breakfast, which was very tasty. Location wise is perfect for going to a restaurant or bar after the hike and easy access to lion’s rock. Very nice owners.

Unrealiable wifi

The owner was very pleasant and he made us feel welcome. He was happy to help make bookings to go to the Rock, but we had already had a guide/driver. We couldnt have dinner there but he recommended some eateries 200 metres down the road.

Good room with AC, fan and mosquito net. The bathroom was alright and the breakfast was quite rich. The location was also good with restaurants, small shops, tuk tuks and the bus stop - all in walking distance. The owners were very kind and helped to organize an early morning tuk tuk to go hike up Pidurangala rock.

The location is perfect, just a short walk to Lion's Rock, and it's also conveniently close to a variety of coffee shops and restaurants. The room is spacious and comfortable. The breakfast is delicious and a great way to start the day.

I’m not sure I would be comfortable to be as a solo traveler here. The owner was a bit insistent about seeing my tattoos, telling me to wear shorter clothes to show them off. I understand that you can have an attraction to tattoos, but I felt uncomfortable and I don't like people touching my body without asking me to see the tattoos too.

Good budget friendly place to stay very near to lion's rock. Host helped us sorting out a plan for our lion's rock visit so that we can check out on time next day. Very good delicious and filing breakfast. Big, cozy and comfortable room with all facilities. Nearby within walking distance many good restaurants are there also. All in all , we had a good experience at Amenity homestay.
