Read more– opens a dialog boxEach review score is between 1 and 10. To get the overall score you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of them. We use a weighted review system, which means the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. Guests can also give separate “subscores” in crucial areas like location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value, and free Wifi. Note that guests submit their subscores and overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an accommodation that you booked through our platform if you stayed there, or if you got to the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialize in detecting fake reviews submitted to our platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team so that our fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we'd publish every review we get, positive and negative. However, we won’t display any reviews that include or refer to (among other things):
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out. We may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old, or if the accommodation has a change of ownership.
An accommodation can reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (e.g. language, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). You can sort and/or filter them by time of year, review score, and more.
Sometimes we show external review scores from other well-known travel websites, but make it clear when we do this.
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly, without limiting expression or strong opinions. They're also applicable regardless of the comment's tone.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. Promotional content will be removed and issues concerning Booking.com’s services should be routed to our Customer Service or Accommodation Service teams.
Contributions should be appropriate for a global audience. Please avoid using profanity or attempts to approximate profanity with creative spelling, in any language. Comments and media that include hate speech, discriminatory remarks, threats, sexually explicit remarks, violence, or the promotion of illegal activity are not permitted.
All content should be genuine and unique to the guest. Reviews are most valuable when they are original and unbiased. Your contribution should be yours. Booking.com property partners should not post on behalf of guests or offer incentives in exchange for reviews. Attempts to bring down the rating of a competitor by submitting a negative review will not be tolerated.
Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and other similar details.
The opinions expressed in contributions are those of Booking.com customers and properties, and not of Booking.com. Booking.com does not accept responsibility or liability for any reviews or responses. Booking.com is a distributor (without any obligation to verify) and not a publisher of these comments and responses.
By default, reviews are sorted based on the date of the review and on additional criteria to display the most relevant reviews, including but not limited to: your language, reviews with text, and non-anonymous reviews. Additional sorting options might be available (by type of traveler, by score, etc...).

United StatesThe noise from outside the room corridor we could here them. The room size was small. Storage of our suitcase was a bit of a hassle.
The hotel looked inviting. It's relatively new and built near the Dalada Maligava. Staff are always ready to help and go above and beyond to make the stay comfortable. Beds were the most comfortable. My husband loves the location. Their breakfast is the best. Always have options to suit every taste bud. The spa Ceylon products were great The shower pressure and heat were good. I highly recommend this hotel

AustraliaWe had an outstanding stay at The Radh with nothing but high praise.
My wife and I recently had the great pleasure of staying at Kandy’s excellent Radh boutique hotel for 3 nights during the stunning Kandy Perahera Festival. With a great location on one of the quieter streets in the very centre of fascinating, bustling Kandy, tucked away only a few hundred meters from the Temple of The Tooth, The Radh has it all. From its distinctive architecture, well appointed, clean and comfortable rooms and yummy breakfasts, to its most outstanding attribute, its wonderful, welcoming, genuinely friendly and always very helpful staff, with a special thanks to front of house manager Dhanush, Michael, Abdul and manager Domani, our Radh experience deserves our 5 star rating. P.S. As a really special treat, Dhanush arranged for one of the Perahera elephants to be walked down to The Radh forecourt where we had the great thrill of feeding this magnificent animal. Wow! United KingdomOur hot tub balcony was on slight disrepair and hot tub initially not working but resolved quickly. We appreciated their efforts with this. Bath mats could be of better quality. Other than this it was perfect.
Staff were really kind from the onset and treated us like royalty. The lobby and premises are beautiful. Food is delicious. Room exceptionally clean.

New ZealandThe only thing that was slightly odd is that on check out they insisted that we didn't leave until they "checked our room". We were on a tight schedule and this created a little bit of tension on check out.
We had a perfect 1 night stay at The Radh. We booked an Executive King Room which has the little balcony looking out over the road at the front of the hotel. The windows/door are double glazed, so we did not hear any noise from the road outside. Room was spacious and very comfortable with lots of power points in useful places. Bathroom was lovely. We ate dinner at the hotel's Cafe Nihobashi. They have a very extensive menu covering many South East Asian cuisines. The food was very nice. Spice level was right for us (we like spicy). They do not serve alcohol. Our room rate included breakfast. Breakfast was also very nice, with a good selection of foods, and options for a hot breakfast cooked to order. Coffee was good. Note: in Sri Lanka it is common practice for the menu items to be priced exclusive of service charge or government tax, so the final bill is higher as these are then added at in at the end. LOCATION LOCATION LOCATION The Radh is very centrally located. A 2 minute walk to the end of the street and you can enter the grounds of the Temple of the Sacred Tooth. Likewise, a 5 minute walk has you at the lake front. This was perfect for us, as we were in Kandy for only 1 night, and it made everything so easy and accessible. There are also lots of cafes and restaurants very close if you chose to eat elsewhere. Location was the main reason for our choice of The Radh. They also greeted our driver nicely and offered him a welcome drink. We really appreciated this. If we return to Kandy for another visit we would definitely stay here again.

AustraliaKandy traffic. It is hard to travel in and out of Kandy as the traffic congestion we felt was worse than in Colombo. Plan your day trips carefully as a lot of time can be wasted travelling through the Kandy congested streets to get to your next sight seeing area.
A beautifully designed and sized hotel to offer the right kind of service. We cannot fault it. All the staff were polite and helpful. Breakfast though not as large as those in the larger hotels had a very good selection. Perfect location to visit the Sacred Tooth Temple and a very short walk to the bustling restaurant and bar area.

The Radh felt like a real touch of luxury on our trip. It has that boutique hotel charm - stylish, comfortable, and well thought-out. The staff were friendly and professional, and the breakfast was excellent with a great variety. The location is second to none, especially if you’re short on time and want to explore Kandy easily. Everything you need is right on your doorstep. We really enjoyed our stay here and would definitely recommend it.
