Food was good but can improve the dessert section for sure. We were there for dinner on a Friday night and it was very mediocre. Main food items were ok, they can have more seafood. Breakfast was good. Can improved overall. In the room there was no phone charging point next to the bed which was a pain. And no fans in the room only Ac.

The welcome drink was ultimate. The room was clean and comfortable. The 2 pools were great. We enjoyed playing volleyball. Amazing beach front property. Too many spreads were available in the breakfast buffet.

There were no toiletries or tea bags sugar etc in the apartment. The rugs and mats were dirty. This spoilt what would have been an amazing stay.

Unable to exchange AUD at hotel but a money changer is a 1km walk or tuk tuk away.

The location to the Bentota train station. Only a 250 meter walk south on road running along train line. The beach & grounds beautiful. Rooms a good size, bed comfortable & air conditioning worked well. Buffet breakfast had a large selection of western & local options.

Some elements of the room looked a bit tired. The sun-bed mattresses were badly stained on our room patio. The room side pool was cloudy on first Morning.

The hotel is generally quiet but has a great beachfront and view of the sea so there is always the sound of the breaking waves. The beach is very atmospheric with such a long view and sea mist rising if the crashing waves. The pool just outside the room was an excellent facility. The main pool was clean and has a 3mtr deep end which was great.

1. The hotel was quite small. 2. The buffet had limited varieties. 3. Even the premium rooms did not include bathtubs. 4. The buffet was missing night-time options such as ice cream and seafood, and the morning spread did not include bacon. 5. The main bed was too small. 6. Even in the premium room, there was no sofa. 7. On their website, under the room categories “Premium Balcony Sea View,” “Surf Sea View,” and “Surf Pool View,” they mention the following under value additions: “We believe in going the extra mile to make your stay exceptional. Upon arrival, you’ll be treated to a seasonal fruit plate to greet you with a taste of local freshness, handcrafted chocolates during our turn-down service, and a high tea platter to elevate your afternoons.” However, despite this being clearly stated on their website, they claimed that these items are not offered, which is misleading

The check in experience really isn’t smooth and some of the staff were quite rude- we had booked in advance and told them our check in time - arrived about 3pm but the rooms weren’t ready, which was a pain, but after then, it really was a beautiful place to stay. Also we had to really push that we got the booking.com 10% discount and show proof every time which was frustrating as it was on the booking reference

The hotel itself was absolutely lovely, the rooms were clean and bright, the travel cot was perfect. we got two beach facing rooms that went straight out to the grass and beach which I think were perfect. The pools were clean and huge. The food served was delicious and good sized. The buffet breakfast had everything you needed. Right next to the train station and some lovely restaurants , very easy to walk into the town. But there’s tuk tuks outside the hotel at all times too for convenience. The beach was beautiful and clean!

Disappointed that 52m pool water was too cloudy to see where you were going (Granted it was very windy some days, with blowing dust at times). Room TV not working at start of visit. Karaoke Lounge was closed during Covid pandemic and has not reopened yet.

Attentiveness, helpfulness, and friendliness of most of the staff. Wide variety of foods available at buffet - both breakfast and evening. Choice of 2 swimming pools, one 52m long. Easy to access long, sandy beach and sea. Several restaurants and shops within easy walking distance. Short walking distance from railway station.

The staff were friendly, attentive, and always ready to assist. The garden was beautifully maintained, adding a calm and relaxing vibe to the hotel. The location is also great just a short walk to the beach,cafes making it ideal for a peaceful getaway. The room was clean and cozy, and overall, we enjoyed our short stay.Room service was littlebit slow and needs improvement but it is not a big issue at all. It is a great value for money!

The hot water facility in the bathroom was not enough. The hot water only came for a short time. Even though I asked them to clean the room, they only came in the evening.When I asked the receptionist for a menu card to be brought to my room, she said she would inform the restaurant, but the menu card did not arrive until we checkout from the hotel.The phone in the room was broken and they said they would install a new one, but that never happened.. we had to open the room door repeatedly to make the need known..

Breakfast buffet actually good..there are many varities and foods very tasty.both savoury and sweet items had a good taste.

Next day When we reached the room ac is not working and made a complaint,but we don’t get immediate reply and action.it takes almost 3 hours to change the ac remote.They did not arrange for an alternate room for that time , we waited till it’s done in that hot climate with my parents and kids.

1- At night small lizards coming near the lights and rooms 2- Neighbourhood local selling their clothes and food on the beach while tourist relaxing 3- Trollies and wheelchairs are not supported by ramps or slops
