The property is showing the signs of age a little, could have done with a little paint. For the price we paid (over £250 per night) would have expected slightly better facilities (e.g. more modern bathroom as there was a minor leak in ours and the air con wasn't as strong as we'd liked). Generally an amazing stay just felt quite expensive.

The pool was beautiful and the staff were so friendly and helpful with everything we needed. Our train tickets fell through and they organised a last minute transfer for us which was amazing. Our view from the balcony was also so beautiful and lovely to wake up to.

I liked the beautiful view of Kandy. We spent New Year's Eve there and the hotel absolutely stood up for itself. We could choose from many kinds of food. The staff were nice and their primary goal was to make us feel great.

I was trying to call the airline about my lost luggage but was unable to ring through the switchboard as it wouldn’t connect.

The breakfast was delicious and had a great variety. The view from the room was spectacular as was the view from the infinity pool. The staff were very attentive especially the manager Marcus. Irfan was also very helpful. The location feels far out of town at first but it’s actually within walking distance to the temple, kandyan culture centre and the city.

The hotel is beautiful! The location is perfect, it has the view to the whole city and to the natural surrounding. Pool is also spectacular. People are so kind and polite. I would definitely love to come back here. I would reccomend this place to everyone visiting Kandy for few days.

Really pleased we chose this hotel. Triple rooms were great size and the hotel has a really nice feel to it. The location is great for Kandy, walking distance to the temple. Some good restaurant options nearby and the pool/bar at the hotel is very good.

One of the main issues I encountered was the overcrowding in the hotel's restaurants. During breakfast and other meal times, the restaurants were consistently packed with guests, making it difficult to find a peaceful and enjoyable dining experience. The noise and lack of personal space detracted from the relaxed atmosphere I was hoping for. Another disappointment was the limited variety of the breakfast spread. Throughout the duration of my stay, the same breakfast options were offered each day. While the quality of the food was satisfactory, the lack of variety made the dining experience monotonous and repetitive. Additionally, I found the service charges added to every bill to be quite high. These charges significantly increased the overall cost of our meals and services at the hotel, which was unexpected and somewhat disappointing. Furthermore, it appeared that the restaurant staff at Tilenka Hotel were not adequately trained or prepared to handle the high volume of guests. They seemed overwhelmed and overworked due to the large crowds.

As one of the oldest and largest properties in the area, Tilenka Hotel boasts a rich history and offers a truly amazing location. The hotel's prime location allowed for easy access to all the attractions and sights in Kandy. We were able to explore the city's vibrant culture and immerse ourselves in its charm without having to travel far. This convenience added an extra level of enjoyment to our stay. The facilities at Tilenka Hotel exceeded our expectations. The hotel offered a wide range of amenities that catered to all our needs. The comfort of our stay was further enhanced by the excellent services provided by the hotel staff who are attentive and professional.

Although hotel is situated not very far from the main road, it is very calm and the view from room was breathtaking. Staff was very attentive and showed great hospitality. Food was good, but may not be the best for those who prefer less spicy food. Need to mention the exceptional service by the pool attendant.
