What a fantastic experience we had at Villa Lyvie. The hotel is situated in one of the most beautiful Ayurvedic gardens, we have ever seen. Rest, meditation, massage and delicious food. Everything you are looking for for a comfortable stay that is very healthy for the inner human being can be found here. The management was done by mother and daughter. A very warm, friendly family and very helpful on trips around Tangalle. The hotel itself has a very generous beautiful swimming pool and beautifully styled rooms. In the immediate vicinity you will find beautiful Bounty beaches and cute coves. A must stay if you ever go to Sri Linka.

The room was perfectly clean and well-maintained, which made my stay very comfortable. The breakfasts were delicious and satisfying, offering a great start to each day. The hostess was incredibly kind, welcoming, and attentive, making me feel at home. I'm truly appreciated her care and hospitality. Highly recommend this place for a wonderful stay!

They have created a lovely hotel and relaxing environment. Short tuk tuk rides to good beaches and Tangalle town.

A truly delightful villa with and such a wonderful welcome from Alexandra and Marie. Food in the new restaurant and the breakfast was fabulous. Lovely quiet and relaxing pool area. Villa is close to Tangalle but in a peaceful area well away from road. Highly recommend

Only the mosquitos as it rained a lot during our brief but otherwise perfect stay.

Wonderful stay in an idyllic location. Alexandra and her mother have created a most welcoming retreat away from the street noise. The facilities were very good as was the delicious breakfast. They have paid incredible attention to every detail from the artistic interior design and garden planting, to the wonderful breakfast presentation and object art throughout. We would thoroughly recommend a stay here.

Truly fabulous. Alexandra and her Mum Marie have created a paradise. A beautiful house with fabulous gardens and amazing wildlife. We stayed for one week and wish it had been longer. The nearby beaches are stunning and just an easy walk away. Alexandra and Marie made us feel so welcome, more like friends than guests. We honestly felt like we had come home as soon as we entered the gate. It is so peaceful. We loved relaxing on our private terrace just watching the birds, langur monkey, squirrels etc in the surrounding trees. Always something new to see. Breakfast is lovely. We ate at the restaurant three times as we enjoyed it so much. Sitting on the beautiful terrace enjoying excellent food…..what can be better? Marie’s chocolate mousse is not to be missed! Marie also made me a surprise special cake…so kind and thoughtful of her. We were excited to see a Green Turtle laying and burying eggs at Rekawa Turtle Watch one evening. Mulkirigala rock temple is great too and has fewer visitors than Dambulla or Sigiriya. Villa Lyvie is an exceptional place to stay. Thank you Alexandra and Marue for making our stay so perfect.

Stay of a lifetime! This place was nothing short of spectacular, with its breath-taking beauty, pristine gardens, and immaculate cleanliness. The relaxing pool area was just the icing on the cake. What truly made our stay unforgettable was the staff. Alexandra, in particular, went above and beyond - her kindness shone when she arranged for our freshly caught fish to be cooked for dinner. It's these thoughtful gestures that set this place apart. I highly recommend the personalised Ayurvedic treatment; it was professional and incredibly rejuvenating. A resounding 10/10!

That would couldn’t stay longer! It was faultless.

This is an absolutely beautiful boutique hotel with perfect styling thanks to Alexandra and her Mum; Marie. The continental breakfast is 5 star if you fancy a change from Sri Lankan and it’s set in a peaceful location with lovely gardens. You are looked after, and feel like you are in someone’s own home and the hosts couldn’t be more charming. Exceptional place on every level and of course offers the Ayurvedic treatments as well.

Nothing - I can't wait to come back to Villa Lyvie!

Villa Lyvie is the definition of paradise. The hosts are so friendly and welcoming. They really treated us like family. The breakfast was fabulous, with highlights being the coffee, fresh fruit platter, and the toast with mango jam. The rooms are clean, cozy, and adorned with beautiful decor. I also had a super relaxing massage at the on-site spa. The location is also excellent as it is just minutes from the beach.

We had Christmas at Villa Lyvie and Alexandra and her Mum Marie made our stay one to remember. We had a fantastic Christmas Eve celebration, with wonderful food and hypnotic traditional Sri Lankan dancing. The place is truly relaxing and enough service to make you feel really looked after without being overbearing. We would highly recommend this place.

Nothing, the stay was one of the best in Sri Lanka.

Beautiful boutique hotel slightly off the beaten track. Gorgeous pool and surroundings. Had a two day Ayurvedic treatment which was divine. Highly recommended. I had a medical issue (filling fell out) and it was dealt with quickly which was awesome. It’s short stroll to the beaches which are sublime, a super lovely place to chill out and relax.

All was superb

Villa Lyvie is paradise. The garden is lush with a nice pool, breakfast on the terrace is the best we had in Sri Lanka ( delicious coffee), the rooms are spotless with an quiet air con and for a change not blowing on the bed. And last but not least owner Alexandra and her mother. Alexandra is an amazing host. Thank you Alexandra!
