How guest reviews work
Each review score is between 1 and 10. To get the overall score you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of them. We use a weighted review system, which means the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. Guests can also give separate “subscores” in crucial areas like location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value, and free Wifi. Note that guests submit their subscores and overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an accommodation that you booked through our platform if you stayed there, or if you got to the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialize in detecting fake reviews submitted to our platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team so that our fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we'd publish every review we get, positive and negative. However, we won’t display any reviews that include or refer to (among other things):
- Politically sensitive comments
- Promotional content
- Illegal activities
- Personal or sensitive info (e.g. emails, phone numbers, credit card info)
- Swear words, sexual references, hate speech, discriminatory remarks, threats, or references to violence
- Spam and fake content
- Animal cruelty
- Impersonation (i.e. if the writer is claiming to be someone else)
- Any violation of our review guidelines.
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out. We may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old, or if the accommodation has a change of ownership.
An accommodation can reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (e.g. language, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). You can sort and/or filter them by time of year, review score, and more.
Sometimes we show external review scores from other well-known travel websites, but make it clear when we do this.
Guidelines and Standards for Reviews
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly, without limiting expression or strong opinions. They're also applicable regardless of the comment's tone.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. Promotional content will be removed and issues concerning Booking.com’s services should be routed to our Customer Service or Accommodation Service teams.
Contributions should be appropriate for a global audience. Please avoid using profanity or attempts to approximate profanity with creative spelling, in any language. Comments and media that include hate speech, discriminatory remarks, threats, sexually explicit remarks, violence, or the promotion of illegal activity are not permitted.
All content should be genuine and unique to the guest. Reviews are most valuable when they are original and unbiased. Your contribution should be yours. Booking.com property partners should not post on behalf of guests or offer incentives in exchange for reviews. Attempts to bring down the rating of a competitor by submitting a negative review will not be tolerated.
Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and other similar details.

Booking.com does not accept responsibility or liability for any reviews or responses. Booking.com is a distributor (without any obligation to verify) and not a publisher of these comments and responses.
By default, reviews are sorted based on the date of the review and on additional criteria to display the most relevant reviews, including but not limited to: your language, reviews with text, and non-anonymous reviews. Verified reviewExceptional accommodation, exceptional owner, surrounded by nature, we loved it. We expected something special, and we had a special experience, seeing many different birds, reptiles, wild boars, and even an elephant one evening near the accommodation. If you expect luxury, don't go here, but if you love nature and the outdoors, you will enjoy it. This was our best accommodation!
The road to the accommodation is a bit difficult especially at night.

Verified reviewIt’s difficult to describe how wonderful , almost unreal is this place. In the middle of spectacular nature, but with all what you need to feel comfortable. The sounds of the nature around the property, the kindness of the owners, the delicious real time cooking dinner and breakfast, based on local ingredients, the sunset on my balcony , no mosquitoes at all. I’ll never forget this incredible piece of paradise. Recommended for families but also for romantic couples.

Verified reviewThe staff was really nice and always ready to help with transfers or anything that we needed throughout the stay. The place itself was very peaceful, surrounded by nature.
The camping is quite isolated, so it can be quite hard for drivers to get in and out of the place.

The property spans 25 acres of pure serenity, surrounded by breathtaking paddy fields and lush forest. From the moment we arrived, we felt completely detached from the noise and stress of daily life. There’s so much to explore a beautiful natural lake, a crystal-clear natural pool, and even a charming little river nearby. We had an amazing time kayaking, watching colorful birds, and simply soaking in the untouched beauty around us. The area is rich in wildlife, and it’s a dream come true for nature lovers and anyone who enjoys stargazing under a clear sky. What made our stay even more special was Mr. Thilina, the heart and soul of the property. His hospitality was unmatched he treated us like family and ensured we were comfortable and happy every moment. His knowledge about the area and his passion for preserving nature are truly admirable. One of the highlights of our stay was the delicious breakfast served each morning. It was fresh, local, and perfectly prepared. Verified reviewThis place is magical. The guy running it is so welcoming, and catered to our needs from start to finish, even helping with special requests which meant going out of his way for us. The property is so tranquil, and we left feeling relaxed after being able to spend time together away from the hustle bustle. We were able to rent a scooter easily from the campsite, and use the kayak as much as we wanted. The beds are comfortable, the rooms are clean & had everything we needed. Highly recommend this to everyone & would go again in a heartbeat!

Verified reviewWe had a wonderful stay at Wisdom Camping & Glamping. The location is beautiful, right in the middle of the jungle, full of peace and nature. We enjoyed the free catamaran ride and the exciting Jeep safari. The staff were very friendly and made us feel at home. The rooms were clean, cozy, and comfortable. The place is beautifully set up in nature, right next to Minneriya National Park, which made it feel like a true escape from busy life. I really enjoyed the natural pool. It was clean, cool, and surrounded by trees. It added so much to the natural vibe. The whole setup is perfect for glamping. You get the outdoor experience with all the comfort you need. The staff were very friendly and helpful throughout my stay. A big thank you to Thilina, who went out of his way to make sure everything was perfect. His kind and welcoming attitude really stood out. If you're looking for a peaceful, nature-filled getaway with a touch of comfort, I highly recommend this place.
