Each review score is between 1–10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We're currently testing a weighted review system in Malta and Iceland (excluding hotel and vacation rental chains). For properties in these countries, the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate "subscores" in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money, and free Wifi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an accommodation that you booked through our platform if you stayed there, or if you got to the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialize in detecting fake reviews submitted to our platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team so that our fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we'd publish every review we get, positive and negative. However, we won’t display any reviews that include or refer to (among other things):
- Politically sensitive comments
- Promotional content
- Illegal activities
- Personal or sensitive info (e.g. emails, phone numbers, credit card info)
- Swear words, sexual references, hate speech, discriminatory remarks, threats, or references to violence
- Spam and fake content
- Animal cruelty
- Impersonation (i.e. if the writer is claiming to be someone else)
- Any violation of our review guidelines.
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out. We may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old, or if the accommodation has a change of ownership.
An accommodation can reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (e.g. language, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). You can sort and/or filter them by time of year, review score, and more.
Sometimes we show external review scores from other well-known travel websites, but make it clear when we do this.

We liked very much out stay at the hotel. The staff was very kind to accommodate some requests. The room was clean and big in size, beds were confortable. Definatelly going to be going back and recommend to others.

I think price should be a bit lower. I have taken room with breakfast for the same price as I am taking hotel room close to old town. But this hotel does not suggest buffet breakfast, it is just something that they cook for you (in my case it was 2 fried eggs, 1 sausage, canned cucumber, bread (white and dark), tea and croissant (not freshly baked, just from a big pack from the shop). The rest is OK
Comfortable mattress and comfortable pillows, quiet neighbourhood. All is old but neat, do not expect much from the hotel, it is just 2 stars. For me it was comfortable for sleeping. Host is nice, speaks Russian

No tea/coffee making facilities in room. Location wasn't ideal but taxis into town were not expensive.
Quiet and comfortable room. Clean and very secure. Staff were very friendly. Considering the price I was very happy with this hotel

The hotel was in a nice neighborhood, though a little far from city center. Approx. 15 minutes with a taxi. The room also had a strange smell - like old smoke. It helped with a day of ventilating.
The staff was very friendly, knowledgeable of the city and helpful regarding information about transportation. There is a 24 hour reception making it easy to arrive whenever you please. The buildings and room was generally very clean and pleasant.

Somewhat outdated, tiny bathroom. No breakfast available.
It is near to a forest. The room was clean. It was quiet, could sleep well. Can be reached easily by bus.

This place only offers minimum basic comfort, it doesn't have any facilities or amenities, it's only good for sleeping and nothing else, no other comfort. It's very basic, cheap, low quality, there is no sound isolation in rooms, you can hear everything what neighbours do and talk, you can even feel foul cooking smells invading into your room through faulty ventilation. This place is cheap and good for sleeping, dont expect any other comforts.
The location is right next to a very beautiful and big national park/forest, great for walks in nature. The room is good for sleeping purposes for a very affordable price. Friendly staff. It's cheap and good for those who dont seek luxury and only need a place to sleep, while spending their whole day outside. Wifi was pretty good and fast.

The buildings are old and clearly due for a refresh. Still, I had walls around me, a roof over my head and a bed to sleep in. The en suite bathroom, although sparse, was functional and the shower had good water pressure with stable temperature. Stay here if you want to spend your money on food, drink, attractions and transportation.
Simple, no-frills hotel with very reasonable prices. That being said, you also get what you pay for.

Douche cabinet has no rack for gel/shampoo. Would prefer a spacier wark table as I needed to work during my staying here.
Quiet place yet nog far from bus stop. Supermarket 15 minutes away. Large rooms. Public kitchen available fully equipped. Public washing machine. Only 3-4 rooms on each floor so no problem to use public facilities. Excelent soundproofing!!!
