Read more– opens a dialog boxEach review score is between 1 and 10. To get the overall score you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of them. We use a weighted review system, which means the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. Guests can also give separate “subscores” in crucial areas like location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value, and free Wifi. Note that guests submit their subscores and overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an accommodation that you booked through our platform if you stayed there, or if you got to the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialize in detecting fake reviews submitted to our platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team so that our fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we'd publish every review we get, positive and negative. However, we won’t display any reviews that include or refer to (among other things):
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out. We may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old, or if the accommodation has a change of ownership.
An accommodation can reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (e.g. language, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). You can sort and/or filter them by time of year, review score, and more.
Sometimes we show external review scores from other well-known travel websites, but make it clear when we do this.
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly, without limiting expression or strong opinions. They're also applicable regardless of the comment's tone.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. Promotional content will be removed and issues concerning Booking.com’s services should be routed to our Customer Service or Accommodation Service teams.
Contributions should be appropriate for a global audience. Please avoid using profanity or attempts to approximate profanity with creative spelling, in any language. Comments and media that include hate speech, discriminatory remarks, threats, sexually explicit remarks, violence, or the promotion of illegal activity are not permitted.
All content should be genuine and unique to the guest. Reviews are most valuable when they are original and unbiased. Your contribution should be yours. Booking.com property partners should not post on behalf of guests or offer incentives in exchange for reviews. Attempts to bring down the rating of a competitor by submitting a negative review will not be tolerated.
Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and other similar details.
The opinions expressed in contributions are those of Booking.com customers and properties, and not of Booking.com. Booking.com does not accept responsibility or liability for any reviews or responses. Booking.com is a distributor (without any obligation to verify) and not a publisher of these comments and responses.
By default, reviews are sorted based on the date of the review and on additional criteria to display the most relevant reviews, including but not limited to: your language, reviews with text, and non-anonymous reviews. Additional sorting options might be available (by type of traveler, by score, etc...).

IrelandWe stayed as a family of 6, the property slept all of us, 3 little boys in the small room, the teenagers on sofa beds in the living space and my husband and I in a double upstairs. The sauna is electric and easy to turn on and off. We had everything we needed for the week we stayed. The host was really attentive and accommodating. Highly recommend 👌

LatviaGood deal for the price. Convenient location, near the "Pabažu" railway station, which is the very beginning of Saukrasti, within walking distance of the "white dune". The "RIMI" supermarket and the sea are less than a ten-minute walk away. An excellent place to spend time as a couple, or for a party where there is enough space for everyone, in the hall and on the spacious terrace. There is a small grill with everything you need for cooking. The holiday house has a small sauna with a separate shower room, which is included in the price. The kitchen has everything you need for cooking - induction stove, oven, large refrigerator, dishes, cutlery, glasses, cups and much more. On the second floor of the house there is a loft, which is essentially a separate area that can be used for relaxation or work, where it can be done without interruption. The hall is spacious with large windows and high ceilings, where even ten people could feel free. During the summer, it is possible to combine the hall with the terrace by opening both parts of the door, which gives an additional 40 m2. Of course, more people can stay, but a maximum of six people will sleep comfortably. The access road is paved but relatively narrow and it will not be possible to leave cars on the road. The holiday home has two spaces for cars under the roof canopy and one more can be driven into the yard.

LatviaThe location of the house is perfect: I walked to the sea in 10 minutes and had a coffee to go on the way in a supermarket. The railway station and bus station are very near, possible to go to Riga very easily. The hot sauna and fresh snow outside gave me a very relaxed mood and I managed to cook dinner in a very cosy atmosphere with a fireplace and music on smart TV. Wi-fi worked excellent!

LatviaThis property is an easy way to ruin your holiday, everything from host's communication to the house amenities was wrong, descriptions and photos are misleading and I can't call the property listing anything but a scam. Please read below before choosing this property and make sure to read other reviews. - The instructions for getting the key were unclear. - When we arrived the house was cold, like below 15C cold, and we booked for a stay with a baby, which was mentioned in the booking. Imagine you're coming in the evening to your stay place for rest and you can freeze there. The host didn't prepare anything. - The place was very dirty all around. - We tried using the wood stove with little luck. The firewood available was all wet, the stove hasn't been cleaned for ages, you just can't use it. - The tap water was cold. The boiler was off and when we arrived only ice-cold water was available. Remember we're travelling with a baby and informed about it? - At this point I tried calling the host, but he was ignorant and didn't answer the phone. We made like 8 calls during an hour, no response. - The main room has panoramic windows with a road and neighboring houses right behind it and the windows have NO CURTAINS. Everybody using the road, which is the main entrance road to the neighborhood, can see everything inside the house. If you're not an exhibitionist, you're not likely to enjoy that. - The water is brown and smelly. It definitely isn't drinkable, but any use of it can pose risk. - We had all the available heaters on, but they were not sufficient. So we still got cold at night and sick next day because of not sufficient heating. - The host called us at midnight, literally. This didn't add to the stay experience. - In the morning the power supply just disappeared = no running water, no working WC, no light, no electricity. We had to leave at this point.
The location is okay, but sure don't fall for the description of the property. The host marked that it has a private beach, but this of course isn't true, as much as other things in the description.

LithuaniaThe house was not very clean and tidy, especially bathroom and kitchen. Some bed sheets are also with some stains. Also water from the tap is not drinkable and is not suitable for cooking, therefore you need to bring your own water.
The house is surrounded by nature, near the sea side. There is sauna which we could use without extra costs. The house is more for big groups, celebrations.

LatviaThe house was dirty, in my opinion the owner hops that the previous guests will leave everything clean, as I also got request from owner, that we have to leave it neat and I have to put in washing machine bed clothing. But the most surprising moment was, that there was no clean bed clothing for us, when we came, there was only one wet sheet hanging, other bedding was used or smelly, i couldn't imagine to put dirty blankets on my children. When we called the owner, he said that it's not possible, that the bedding is clean, just not ironed. He wasn't supportive and we ended up, going home after bed closing, towels, toilet paper and for some things to clean the kitchen. The flour was dirty and not event to talk about bathroom, the bath we didn't use at all due to unsanitary conditions. It's just disrespect to customers. We suggested the owner in the future to clean the house and inform guests to take their own bedding with them, but if he will take our advice into account, I won't know, as this was the first and the last time we visited this place.
The location was ok, near the sea, near shops, quite, big terrace, house was suitable for two families.

United KingdomPictures speak for themselves. (Will try to add a link / post them online or facebook). Filthy property and holiday ruined. Prior to arrival the host let us know that the keys were under the mat and pretty much assumed that previous guests would clean after themselves? Here is the result. Currently trying to get our money back. Fridge - Dirty, leftover food and smelled of mould Sink - full of food leftovers Floors - Dirty Bathroom - bin full of womens sanitary products, toilet seat broken and toilet dirty. Beds - no bedding on the beds, some random bits of bedding handing on rails and clothes rack (touching the floor) but all moist/wet and smelled iffy. One of the beds was also broken. Property was to unhygienic for us and our children and we stayed in a different property due to this. Now the host is refusing the refund us our money.
Overall expierence was not a positive one.

United KingdomThere is a station nearby. There is a parking lot in the garden for 3 cars. There is a sandy beach nearby, many viewing platforms, a walking trail. The owner of the house is very friendly, answered all questions quikly. The house is clean, a beautiful garden with a barbecue, firewood, and a patio. The garden is well fenced, you can safely let the dog out. There are a lot of beautiful dishes in the kitchen, everything you need. There were also a lot of different spices. Good sauna. Highly recommend!
