Very friendly and helpful staff! They organise a pub crawl (every Saturday I think) which is really fun and easy to join even if you are a solo traveller. Location is very good.

The location is perfect - opposite the central train station and walking distance from the old town. There is an elevator, which was nice, because of our luggage. We were greeted very warmly and our room was clean, cosy and quiet. We already booked another stay there for the next time.

Everything! The ambiance of the place is unmatched. The common room has been a great place for socializing and hanging out with other travellers. The hostel is spotlessly clean and tidy; the staff and volunteers are accommodating and absolutely amazing! The breakfast couldn't be better - eggs, waffles, bread, cheese, salad, cereals, jam, and coffee. The bed is comfy and the room is considerably large.

A very cozy modern hostel near the train and bus station. On the 3rd floor of an ancient building. The elevator is working. Login through McDonald's. The wonderful staff always takes care of the cleanliness and convenience of the guests! Always delicious breakfasts with fresh waffles, croissants and homemade buns! Plenty of space for comfortable relaxation in the common area. Linen, towels, shower gel, breakfast and tea/coffee are free. There is a kitchen with everything you need, a refrigerator and a balcony. The interior is decorated with beautiful paintings. I will do everything with taste and love. I recommend!

The elevator was broken and hostel is on the 3rd floor, so had some difficulties with my suitcase.

Staff is super friendly and helpful, people are nice. Beds are comfortable. Breakfast is super good, they make fresh waffles and croissants! Also, they have a coffee machine which you can use for the whole day. Location is good - it's in the city centre, close to the bus station. Have stayed there before and came back. Lockers are big. Common areas are nice.

There is no big cooking pot available in the kitchen. Breakfast is exactly the same from day to day. No non-vegetarian options available. People are coughing a lot.

The hostel organised some great nightly activities, including Latvian folk dancing and (French) karaoke :) good community and easy to meet people.

There genuinely wasn't anything I disliked.

This was the perfect experience. The hostel was in a very convenient location and the staff were incredibly hospitable and welcoming. It was my first time in a hostel and this experience has changed the way I'll go on holiday from now on. I quickly became friends with everyone and by the end I started to see them more like family.I have travelled to around 15 countries so far, and while it's common to feel sad going home, this one was the most sad I've been due to leaving everyone. There wasn't a single dislikable person in this hostel. They're too many names to list, but Brad, Luke, Nei, Clo etc: I love you all.

Very good location though the entrance (fast food chain) staircase up to the hostel wasn’t adorable. Clean throughout, bed-linen and a large towel included! Very nice breakfast included!!! No-shoe policy - better bring slippers for your convenience! No padlock needed - lockers with key! Liked my stay and do recommend the place - it wasn’t booked too well, could imagine bathrooms (shared and not gender seperated) could get crowded at peak times.

Great staff and volunteers, they also organize events to meet others and gang out. The mattresses are a bit soft for my taste but still good. There are places where you can sit down to work or for some more quiet time, if you prefer company then there's the common room for that. Great location as well, right across from the train station and at walking distance of the old town.

Rooms was smelly and cramped. Very tight space in room. Shoe were kept in front of reception!! It's the place of flower, showpiece, decorations , not the shoe storage!!
