My second experience and as great as my first one. Nice little room, clean and well equipped, a fantastic breakfast, and absolutely nice personnel and owner. And I recommend the restaurant for lunch of dinner, great value for price and nice home made cooking. Easy parking and well located in Sigulda with plenty of places to hike in.

Warm welcome by the owner, I could get my room sooner than check in time. My room was exactly as described in Booking, very clean, and with a boiler to make warm beverage which I appreciated with the cold temperatures. The breakfast was excellent and unforgettable, you can choose whatever you want within a vast selection of salty dishes, salads, sweet dished, and the coffee is super good. A fantastic experience in a nice area, free parking, great value for money, I am looking forward to have the opportunity to come back.

Very friendly and helpful personnel, a comfortable and spacious room. I felt genuinely welcome. The hotel is situated only a few minutes from the train station in the center of town. The breakfast was not the usual bread, butter and so on, but a wide variety of tasty homemade latvian delicacies.

Small and very cozy hotel. We found everything we needed there. A bit old fashioned style, but that's what gives this place its charm. A nice and cute cafe downstairs, where the food is delicious and the symbol of this place - real cat -rests so sweetly nearby.

It would have been nice to have some fresh fruit at breakfast.

The room was listed as a budget single with internal courtyard view, but it was the opposite. A good size area with comfy sofabed, separate area with fridge, TV & kettle, separate toilet & a separate fantastic shower. The view was over the car park to the road which was fine. Staff are lovely & super helpful.

The location is amazing, the staff was spectacular. They let us store our luggage because we couldn't check in early. They were so sweet and helpful throughout the whole process, and breakfast was excellent.

Although it is a self-service bistro, you have to tell the staff what food you want them to put on your plate. It was not a negative thing. Simply rather unusual, especially during breakfast where I am used to put the food on my plate myself. The furniture choice in the room was a bit unusual in regard to its functionality (i.e. too big TV stand that was eating up all the space in the room and the fridge was placed next to a sofa) but no real complaints. The sofa is meant to compliment the authentic interior and sleeping on it will take you back the memories of sleeping on grandmother's coach back in 80-99ies.

Kaku maja or cat's house in Latvian is a true find in the downtown of Sigulda. Many cat-themed decorations and a 8-year-old permanent resident Adolf for kids' entertainment are to be found here. The B&B has a lovely bistro on the first floor where you can get a variety of home-made fresh food for decent price. Also, they have a bakery that has many pastries and cakes decorated in cat theme as well. The staff is really forthcoming and friendly, helpful in every aspect. The building is old and the owners are trying to preserve the original interior which can be felt in the rooms. Despite that the bathroom is modern and fully functional.

It is a nice small place, where it is quiet, the rooms are nice, and have what you need. The room even head a fridge, which other hotels didn’t have. Nice and big bathroom, everything was really clean. The food was good, and they had their own bakery, with interesting and good backed goods

It was perfectly acceptable. They included breakfast that was ably served, and delicious. Everyone was helpful and friendly. Keep in mind, I was only there for a very short time.
