We had a very lovely stay. It was very kind of Baiba to cook a delicious dinner, considering the restaurant was considered closed that day. We had a nice walk around the area. It's very tranquil and has great river and hill views perfect for hiking. Breakfast was delicious with locally sourced ingredients. Room is very clean, featured a coffee maker, kettle, fridge and necessary toiletries.

Nice country side hotel. Old style of the hotel, nature around. Hotel accepts pets. The restaurant available. We did not try however breakfast or dinner due to low occupancy in this time of the year. Good choices of wines.

Hotel location is incredible. It is easy accessible, and at the same time it is next to one of the most beautiful hiking trails in Latvia. There is quiet, lovely atmosphere and the hotel with its personal can provide with everything you need. Highly recommend. :)

Beautiful country manor house in Gauja National park. Very friendly staff. Free parking, reliable WiFi. Clean and warm room. Comfortable bed. Coffee and tea facilities,fridge in the room. Lovely art and history book library for guests. Local souvenirs available for purchase. Tradicional pirts (sauna) is available for guests. Three fantastic breakfast menus to choose from. And cherry on your icecream - fantastic dinner by Chef Baiba Stepina ( Chef participant of Cesis restaurants week) not to be missed. Place is fab at any time of the year. Had been here several times for different occasions but in Christmas time it was really magical. Very much recommended. We will be back again in 2024 when conversion of the new addition to estate will be opened.

The kitchen in the apartment was a bit limited (not a lot of tools for cooking, such as a cutting board). However, it did have a coffee machine, a kettle, dishes, and other basics.

Although you are staying in a historic place, Karlamuiza hotel is a comfortable, cozy place to stay. We were warm in the room during the cold late autumn evenings, the bed is like a cloud, there is a beautiful hiking trail nearby, and the hosts are responsive and kind. We also enjoyed the breakfast and dinner, which was adjusted to be vegan after our request. Our dog was also welcome, for 20 EUR a night.

If we had an inquiry, e.g., for a small kettle, it was immediately solved, so we cannot think of anything we did not like.

The place itself is an oasis in Gauja National Park, the scenery around and walking trails are amazing. We enjoyed the stay very much. We had already prepared dishes for ourselves for the weekend. Had we not, would definitely have dinner, as well as breakfast at the restaurant, since it looked super cosy and the food delicious. Highly recommend the place!

wonderful place, which always wants to come back, some kind of home coziness and atmosphere ... peace and quiet. a beautiful apple orchard, and magnificent nature nearby. everything you need is in the room, very friendly and responsive hosts (thank you for everything !) and breakfasts and dinners were just excellent :-)

When we booked the room in the early evening it was still possible to book the evening meals for same day on website so we expected that we can decide there to have dinner. But dinner is only available if you order around lunchtime. This was dissapointing and we would not have booked the room if we would have known

We got our wet riding gear taken to dry in to the boiler room. Food was really nice. Room was big and the bed was nice too. Peaceful place. Staff spoke english and were very friendly.
