When we ordered a cappuccino, we got cocoa, but for our complaint, they brought more coffee. The hotel is a little bit out of the city center, you need to walk a lot, but the beach to walk is beautiful.

As you enter in the hotel you are immediately in the nice, cosy welcoming Reception. The hotel room was simple beautiful, authentic Moroccan style. There was a big, clean and nice bathroom. The pool area is also very nice. Nice staff.

Location was disappointing because it was too far from Médina. The pool was cold and not the cleanest. Filters of the sides had bits of garbage. Also the metal divider between the shallow end and deep end is unsafe. Kids can get stuck in the divider. The bathroom in the suite was in need of an update. It looks very basic , rusted curtain rod, bathtub was extremely unsafe for our kids (tough to get in and out) Water took 5 minutes to turn hot. Water leaking from showers. Breakfast was mostly bread and pastries. For the amount of money we paid,it should have been a hot breakfast. Overall we overpaid for this hotel as later we did our research and found much better quality hotels that were closer to the beach and Medina. The WiFi is not strong in the room or the pool. All this things wouldn’t matter as much if the price was lower. If you pay a lot you expect more.

We liked the size of the suite. The orange juice was very good at the buffet table as well as the pastries. The employees were very kind and courteous.

Location could be better, it is close to the beach, but the windy part, so you need to walk a lot. TV is not working nor did the reception guy knew how to fix it.

Room was cute and clean (with nice room service), with a view to the pool, there are shops right across, staff was nice, breakfast buffet was good. In general I enjoyed my stay there.

The breakfast like in other cities was disappointing: a lot of bread, pancakes, pastries and similar. No yogurt, cereal or fruits. The noises through the walls and doors were very loud, we has to use earplugs.

The beds were quite ok. The room itself was stylish. They had coffee, tea and orange juice. The beach is nearby. The medina is 30 minutes by walk. The pool is quite small but good for windy days and to refresh youtself.

Breakfast was a basic continental style. No plain bread or toaster, no cereal or milk. Very limited for kids. I went out and bought some which I kept in my room. If management begin to offer this then I would score 9.5/10

Nice rooms, pleasant staff, location was behind the seafront but only a few minutes walk. Travelled as a lone parent with two children with no trouble experienced. Would recommend to others and return again.

A bit of a mixed bag. There were both positive and negative aspects of this hotel. First of all the breakfasts were delicious and the morning staff were very kind. There is a nice terrace area outside and a decent sized swimming pool although we didn't use it as it was too cold to do so in December. The things that really spolied our stay were the fact that there was no hot water in our room. We ran the taps for so long and nothing more than tepid water. We mentioned it to the staff downstairs and he just said that the hotel was empty and that we had to run the taps for a while for the water to come through. OK, so we went back upstairs and tried again and whaddya know? There was steaming hot water coning out straight away. The next day the same thing happened. No hot water, went down to tell the staff and they advised us it just takes a while. Went back to the room and hey presto - boiling water coming from the taps immediately. We are not unreasonable people and understand that it is not economical to heat all the water for an empty hotel but why didn't they just tell us this instead of lying? We wouldn't have cared if he had just told us to let him know when we needed hot water so that he could turn on the boiler. We just found it dishonest and it really put us off. The second thing was the live wire in our bedroom. The front casing of the lightswitch had been removed leaving an exposed electrified live wire in our room right by the door, so when you come in it would be so easy to fumble for the light and accidentally put your finger in and electrocute yourself - something that happened to my partner! We also advised the hotel staff of this but he just gave us a sympathetic "oh diddums" look and that was that. It is really dangerous and we have photos to prove this.....

(...Continued...) Thirdly, whenever the night staff started there would suddenly be about 5-10 different men (his friends?) in the hotel and we were kicked off the wifi network since they were all using it and trying to chat up female guests who were gathering in the lobby trying to get a bar of signal. The hotel itself was out of season and our room had been cleaned but maybe months ago. There was dust everywhere and the fittings in the bathroom were cracked. We are not in the habit of writing bad reviews and in no way were expecting the Ritz but we still expected to not have electric shocks when entering our room and to be able to wash our hands in hot water! The room was large and the bed was comfy but we really can't recommend this hotel and we wouldn't go back.

The room was lovely, lots of colourful Moroccan furnishings, very clean and comfortable and quiet, the balcony was great for a late evening drink to cool down at sunset with a nice table and chair's, lots of room. Big bathroom, very efficient room cleaning and fresh towels every day. Breakfast had lots of fresh pastries and crepes, nice to have fresh orange juice and very good coffee. All the staff were very helpful and had a good balance of leaving us alone to do what we wanted, but being there if needed. To add a note, we booked the junior suite, which is a good idea if staying 2 weeks as there is lots of space with a seating area and bright sofas, if staying a few days the smaller rooms are comfy and colourful. We would love to return

There seemed to be a gym which was not in the hotel but somewhere else, so we thought that the pictures were misleading. Whilst the breakfasts were fresh and looked great we got a bit fed up with such unhealthy food (croissants, cake, pastries, white bread, jam, pancakes, processed cheese). it would have been lovely to have some cereal, yoghurt and fruit - we ended up bringing our own fruit. It would have been great to have a kettle in the rooms for tea and coffee. There didn't generally seem to be any food available after breakfast...? The hotel is a long walk from the centre of the medina which is mostly ok but we got a bit tired of walking in and out towards the end of the holiday.

The pool was great, rooms really big with comfy beds and very clean. Staff were helpful and friendly. We had a choice of rooms as it was quiet.

Everything about this place was fantastic. I cannot fault them. The owner was fantastic and did everything in his power to make our stay fantastic. He even sorted out a misunderstanding in the booking process (our fault) so well that we were very very impressed. On top of that Wassim and Youssef were absolutely top notch as well as all the workers and clearners. Just everyone was brilliant. We will ALWAYS come here to stay. Shokran!!!!!

There wasn't really anything that was a problem -

The staff were very friendly and helpful and nothing was too much trouble. The room was comfortable and we had a poolside room with balcony. The breakfast was good . It was excellent value for money and we would definitely stay here again. Easy to get a taxi into the centre or a 20min walk but very near to the beach. Quiet and very safe and secure

We requested an iron, one member of staff (female on desk) said not available, however we requested again next day and they said there was one available! It still took nearly whole day but got one to use in the end. Breakfast provides a number of items and until 11am, which is good however if you come in the last hour, expect to find items not refilled! This is disappointing and embarrassing to request food items from the staff and cups and glasses etc. This is an area needing improvement.

Swimming pool is nice to dip in and for kids to play, beech is 5min walk. Quiet end of beech, however 15-20min walk to old medina. Could order food via reception from their local restaurant/takeaway. Clean towels daily and cleaning of room's available.

Pretty and traditional hotel with a pool.

On first morning there was hardly any breakfast left at 10am (serve till 11am). Other mornings were fine though. Our room overlooked the pool and it was very noisy as it echoes children shouting and screaming. There was also a lot of excessive noise from some young children very late at night (up to midnight) Essaouira is windy....when the wind is strong it's virtually impossible to sit on the beach.

Pretty and traditional hotel with a pool. Set away from main roads so reasonably quiet. Lots of little touches gave it a very moroccan feel. Very clean. Staff very helpful especially when we wanted to organise activities e.g. quad biking and hammam. Beach is stones throw away but the medina (which is essentially where everything happens) is 30 min walk or 10dirham taxi which you can hail on the roadside. When it's not windy the beach is one of the most beautiful I've ever seen and the sunset stunning. Essaouira is a really charming place, well worth a few days at least.
