Wonderful accommodation with a very kind host, a great pool and excellent food – among the best we had during our 17-day round trip in Morocco. The place was built with great attention to detail and a lot of love.

Nothing to fault

Such a beautiful property and the family were some of the kindest people I have ever met. They were so accommodating for me and my friends as we are all vegan and we felt very welcomed into their family. They were completely happy for us to relax around the pool in typical european swimwear. It was so nice to be out in the mountains understanding traditional moroccan lifestyle. Took approx 1.5 hours in a car to get there from marrakech.

The comfy family house . The place was tidy and well-maintained. The owners are clearly dedicated to keeping it that way. The garden and surrounding areas were swept several times a day to remove leaves and debris. Located in a peaceful area by the lake, the setting is calm and relaxing. However, swimming in the lake is not allowed, as it becomes deep right off the shore. During our stay, a swimming pool was under construction in the garden, which will be a great bonus once completed. The food was tasty and reasonably priced. Our stay included breakfast, and the portions were generous enough to feed our whole family. The owners are incredibly friendly and welcoming, and the same can be said for the people in the village. Our basic accommodation consisted of two rooms, a bathroom with a shower, a fireplace, and air conditioning. There is no wardrobe or kitchen. We also enjoyed views of the lake and the on-site restaurant.

Can’t think of anything we didn’t like!

Stunning location. Beautiful lake and mountain views. Lovely green and well tended gardens with lots of seats and shade. Very quiet. Frogs croaking. Very relaxing. In the centre of a very welcoming community. Beautiful surrounding countryside with people living traditional Berber lives. Rachida and Abdul were wonderful hosts. The food was amazing- real home cooked generous breakfasts and dinners. The accommodation was very clean and immaculate. Abdul was so warm and helpful. We were very sad to leave. Hope to return soon with children and grandchildren.

Don't rely on Google Maps for directions. Turn off the main road where you see the restaurant sign.

The inner courtyard is perfect for parking. The bed was comfortable, and there were plenty of warm blankets, so it was cozy at night. Breakfast and dinner were very tasty. The hosts were very friendly.

Very comfortable stay at the Auberge Le Mouflon with very accommodating hosts. The room was a good size and the air con heated it up nicely.The shower was excellent.The breakfast was pretty decent. In terms of location, it was fairly easy to get onto the walking trails.

We had a great stay at Auberge Le Mouflon. It is an amazing location for cyclists. The owner was very kind and the food was really good!

Came here to have 2 rest days and we felt just at home from the moment we arrived! Rachida and Abdou are incredible hosts. Just sit back in the garden and enjoy. Don't forget to try the "house" tajine, it's truly delicious! Rooms are spacious, simple and clean. The breakfast is superb

Some sun loungers to lie on out in the beautiful garden would have been great. We enjoyed cooling down in the paddling pool

The staff were absolutely wonderful. Very friendly, welcoming, and helpful. They helped organise a local guide for trekking, who was also excellent and good value. They were also very helpful when we were struggling with transport when leaving Ouirgane. The food was delicious - the vegetable tagines were the best we had anywhere in Morocco.

Amazing location, amazing value, incredibly friendly hosts. I would also like to commend the food, which was cheap (~5 dollars) and far better than anything we ate in Marrakesh. The reservoir is also pretty to walk around (although with trash along the edges, unfortunately like lots of Morrocco), and the areas are nice to explore walking and driving. Note that this area was devastated by an earthquake last year, so it's still common to see tents and temporary shelters along the roads. Being extra respectful of this can't hurt!
