Read more– opens a dialog boxEach review score is between 1–10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We're currently testing a weighted review system in Malta and Iceland (excluding hotel and vacation rental chains). For properties in these countries, the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate "subscores" in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money, and free Wifi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an accommodation that you booked through our platform if you stayed there, or if you got to the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialize in detecting fake reviews submitted to our platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team so that our fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we'd publish every review we get, positive and negative. However, we won’t display any reviews that include or refer to (among other things):
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out. We may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old, or if the accommodation has a change of ownership.
An accommodation can reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (e.g. language, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). You can sort and/or filter them by time of year, review score, and more.
Sometimes we show external review scores from other well-known travel websites, but make it clear when we do this.
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly, without limiting expression or strong opinions. They're also applicable regardless of the comment's tone.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. Promotional content will be removed and issues concerning Booking.com’s services should be routed to our Customer Service or Accommodation Service teams.
Contributions should be appropriate for a global audience. Please avoid using profanity or attempts to approximate profanity with creative spelling, in any language. Comments and media that include hate speech, discriminatory remarks, threats, sexually explicit remarks, violence, or the promotion of illegal activity are not permitted.
All content should be genuine and unique to the guest. Reviews are most valuable when they are original and unbiased. Your contribution should be yours. Booking.com property partners should not post on behalf of guests or offer incentives in exchange for reviews. Attempts to bring down the rating of a competitor by submitting a negative review will not be tolerated.
Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and other similar details.

By default, reviews are sorted based on the date of the review and on additional criteria to display the most relevant reviews, including but not limited to: your language, reviews with text, and non-anonymous reviews. Additional sorting options might be available (by type of traveler, by score, etc...).

United KingdomWhere to begin. The Riad was beautiful, great location and walking distance to everything. Was a calm oasis away from the bustling souks. However, the main highlight of our stay was the hosts, jamal and karim went above and beyond. Jamal made the Riad special and deserves a pay rise for how incredible he is. One of the most genuine, kind and comfortable human beings I’ve had the pleasure of meeting, and nothing was too much hassle. Karim was also wonderful, and had a great, kind energy and always accommodated our needs. Wonderful Riad but the hosts were the best part. Great breakfasts too and terrace.

DenmarkThe Riad is located on a small quiet street that can also be dark and hard to find at the arrival, but the next days we found it without problems. You have to not look that you get lost and act as you know where your going and the small kids wont blend into ur way.
We are 2 romanian girls who wanted to feel the vibe and the culture of the marocan riads. Nights in Marrakesh needs to be spendt into a riad, and we warmly recomand the Riad Dar Elma. Coming inside the riad is another world, a magical feeling of hospitality and kindness. They bake homemade cookies and offee great cozy breakfasts or cook marrocan dinners 🤩. Jamal was the greatest, he was so kind helping us with the luggages to the taxi outside the main street.

United KingdomExpect to hear some noise in riads. There is inevitable echo and the sounds of people coming home. In our second Riad le limoune, our room was adjacent to the family home next door and they were enjoying their Saturday night gathering into the early hours. So earplugs recommended!
This is a wonderful place to stay with the kindest, most helpful staff you could wish for. Nothing was too much trouble and my daughter and I just loved our stay. We opted to use their transport which is a good idea if you’re unfamiliar with Marrakesh, as a member of staff will meet the taxi and walk you through the alleyways to the riad. I planned a birthday surprise hot-air balloon ride for my daughter through them, and they were very good at keeping it a secret! And again, accompanied us at 6:30 am to the pick up spot - we wouldn’t have wanted to do that alone. We booked this lovely riad for four nights, but were informed before our stay that we would have to transfer to another riad (owned by the same French couple) after two nights, as they had received a booking for exclusive use of dar Elma. However, we were not disappointed by the second riad, Le Limoune, which has an exceptional terrace. We had a couple of delicious (vegan) Tajine suppers at the Riads during our stay - a great option if you don’t want to be out late or have an early start.

IndiaWe booked Riad Dar Elma and got a room in Riad Bagama (which is owned by the same people). Wish that would have been communicated to us in the beginning. The location was a little dingy, but that was with all riads in general.
If you'd like a traditional riad experience, this is the one! Beautiful Riad in the old city of Marrakesh. As known about Morocco, hospitality was absolutely fantastic. Lovely breakfast spread. The staff was amazing and always helpful, at all times. Clean and simple rooms. Big enough for 2 people. Walking distance to all the nearby attractions and you can easily get a cab outside.

United KingdomRiad is tucked away down a narrow and somewhat uninviting alley (graffiti etc..) which might put some people off. However we did not feel unsafe there at all and locals were lovely.
Comfortable room. Friendly and helpful staff. Nice and ample breakfast. Good general location for reaching most places of interest in the medina and for Jardin Marjorelle which was 10 minutes outside the medina.

GermanyAlmost nothing. The way to the Riad is hidden which can feel scary, but everything was safe. There a no windows going outside of the building in the rooms which makes it less private, but all ok.

United KingdomHonestly, nothing!
Great location, close to all of the central sites but in a quiet road away from the hustle and bustle. The staff were amazing, incredibly friendly and keen to help with info/tips about Marrakech. We had a great time chatting to Jamal and Karim during our stay. We were contacted by Khalid before arriving, who offered to book us some activities and treatments at the spa, and he sorted everything out for us which was amazing. Great communication throughout. The room was exceptionally clean and comfy, and the facilities were small but well equipped.

United KingdomActually it’s not about the property it’s about the city. It has labyrinth walking ways and it’s difficult to find your way to the riad something. Because google maps also has problems about finding the right path
Rooms have authentic atmosphere, and hotel is clean and Abdulfettah(the staff) was so nice and helpful

United KingdomThe wifi needs a booster for the upper floor. The walk from the square to the riad itself (guided if you book your transfer with the riad, which I recommend!) can be upsetting for a first time visitor to Marrakech: often dirty with beggars asking for money. This is NOT unique to this riad, but just a note for first-timers!
The staff went above and beyond on several occasions to make our stay easy and comfortable. It's a quiet and intimate riad with only 4 guest rooms, but the meals we had were great and it was very easy to get to a small square where you can get a taxi to anywhere, meet your tour bus, or walk into the souks. I can't say enough about the friendly staff. I felt like family.
