The cost of taxi to the airport is much higher than taking a car in the nearby square. Nothing really serious and ultimately a common practice in almost all hotels in the world.

Breakfast needs a second coffee maker (there are annoying long lines since there is only one) Hotel needs renovation (only one elevator) but on the other hand as said above, it has a lot of charm.

Shower was not great. Bathroom door catch broken. Constantly dripping toilet. TV channels unavailable ( 95% of them) . Spa reception staff inattentive and booking an appointment very difficult. Indoor pool area grubby.

Excellent staff in the hotel, fabulous service at reception, bar, housekeeping, 5 star staff. Nice room, exceptionally clean, comfy bed , nice toiletries but room facilities more 3 star.

The elevators closed on my mother and father numerous times. It actually never hurt them but came very close.

The hotel is in need of a thorough freshening including updating details…painting, lighting, repairs etc. to regain its former glory. Services are adequate but not polished.

Vintage, atmospheric hotel perfectly located overlooking Tangier harbor at the edge of the Medina in a very lively neighborhood of shops, restaurants and cafes. Views from my balcony were spectacular, sights in the Medina were a short stroll away, and there was a beautiful pool in the landscaped garden. Rooms and public areas are clean, comfortable, and charming. WiFi was strong in the room and at the pool. The hotel offers great value.

I regret that my luggage was lost and i didn’t have the ability to use the lovely fitness facilities.

Very helpful staff, in a historic property, that is very well-situated for visiting the Tangier medina. And the hotel restaurant is quite good too!

The beds were very very very hard. Even though it was a non-smoking property, the entryway and area by the restaurant always smelled like smoke.

A lot of cleaning went in so I’m surprised there were dirty areas, the breakfast room wasn’t well managed which was a pity.

Nice classic property in a good situation, the suites are spacious & the terraces nice. The bar is old style and good on a good evening. Breakfast is not bad. There are plenty of nice staff in the hotel but a few disinterested ones too.

The spa was a little bit separate from the hotel and the ladies changing rooms were up 2 flights of slippery stairs….be careful!

The spa is overrated . The sauna and pool are small and they didn't have enough towels. We experienced this the last time we stayed as well.

The unexpected upgrade was a great plus and the room was very comfortable The staff were pleasant and helpful. The garden and outdoor pool are very nice. Overall a very pleasant hotel and I would recommend.

One very small lift for a large hotel was the only disappointment.

It’s staff were extremely helpful and friendly and it is in a great location for the Medina and Casbah. We received a room upgrade on arrival which was fantastic.

Air conditioning stopped working however this was fixed after a few hours of informing staff. Reception staff were not very attentive and mixed up our tour guide. We advised the receptionist that we had booked our own and were told that the guide had gotten in touch with the hotel. We were then introduced to a guide who was not the person we had hired. While I would hope this was human error, I cannot be sure. Luckily, the guide we received was absolutely wonderful, so this did not impact our stay negatively.

The property is stunning - a beautifully maintained historical building, all of the spaces were lovely - courtyard, pool area, bar and restaurant... The breakfast room is light filled and has a great sunrise view from the terrace. Breakfast options were extensive and you could order other dishes from the kitchen also. Location is great - accessible by taxi and a very short walk to the medina (definitely recommend a guide though). There is an ATM inside the hotel which is very convenient if you prefer not to get cash out on the street however the exchange rate is not great - better to use an ATM inside a post office or bank.

They did not provide a secure wifi so was unable to connect to my bank or credit card sites. Also the wife just quit working one afternoon which meant the air conditioner stopped working. Its wifi basted.
