Staying at the four floor without elevators. Unfortunately we couldn’t open the windows to get a fresh air from the ocean at night because of the noisy from people playing around the beach. Lack of coziness in the whole apartment.

The property is nicely located about a 10 minute walk from the city center and Medina. It’s very close to the beach, maybe a three minute walk to the beach. The space is bright and clean. The rooms were spacious and had everything we needed. The bathroom had the nicest shower I’ve had in Morocco. There is a very nice terrace on top also. The owner was very helpful and accommodating! She is a fluent English speaker, which was nice for us. The woman who cleans was very friendly and helpful as well.

Inside the apartment was cold and we asked to find a solution but they gave us a heater only the day after, there was no tablecloth, no scottex for the kitchen. One big problem for us was the method of paying, because they want cash, but according to me it is really better when one can pay through the credit card by Booking. I hope they will change the method.

The apartment was perfectly cleaned, the bed and pillow were soft. At the top of the building there is a big terrace where one can see the sky and the sea, in total relaxation.

This isn’t a dislike but disabled people should be aware that the property has 4 floors and no lift. The terrace is obviously on the top floor (with a stunning view). Fortunately I can do stairs slowly but if you can’t manage stairs at all then this probably isn’t the property for you. If you can manage some stairs then request an apartment on the first floor (that’s the lowest floor as there’s nothing on ground floor). The owner was very helpful in trying to accommodate the fact I struggle with lots of stairs.

The property is just one street away from the beach in a very handy location. The place was clean and comfortable. There are several restaurants/cafes close at hand.

The location was perfect because it was close to the medina, to walk there but always wonderful to return to La Galiote for peace. Little shops for daily things and local restaurants at your doorstep. And the marvellous beach of Essaouira only 2 minutes away. I felt as though I could blend in, but best was the hostess, Naima and all her staff .

Absolutely nothing could have been better! We were completely satisfied with our stay and wished we could have been there longer.

Easy access to property, warm welcome by our lovely host, apartment quiet, super clean, spacious, comfortable and light. Clean bedding and towels. Housekeeping available. Excellent wifi for all, apartment very nicely furnished. Perfect location right by the beach and a short walk from the town. Free parking outside the building - plenty of snack/breakfast/restaurants nearby. Thank you La Galiote for making our stay so enjoyable - until next time!

The apartment where we stayed was fantastic. The views from the house are wonderful and the area could not be better. I have to highlight the human quality of Naima, our hostess. She helped us in every possible way. We even had a wonderful master class on how to make an authentic Moroccan couscous by Argia, the woman in charge of cleaning the accommodation (sorry if I misspelled the name). Naima also helped us with the transportation back to the Marraketch airport. The apartment is very big, super clean and well cared for. We have been super happy in this house. Hopefully we can come back soon!!!
