Read more– opens a dialog boxEach review score is between 1–10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We're currently testing a weighted review system in Malta and Iceland (excluding hotel and vacation rental chains). For properties in these countries, the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate "subscores" in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money, and free Wifi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an accommodation that you booked through our platform if you stayed there, or if you got to the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialize in detecting fake reviews submitted to our platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team so that our fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we'd publish every review we get, positive and negative. However, we won’t display any reviews that include or refer to (among other things):
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out. We may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old, or if the accommodation has a change of ownership.
An accommodation can reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (e.g. language, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). You can sort and/or filter them by time of year, review score, and more.
Sometimes we show external review scores from other well-known travel websites, but make it clear when we do this.
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly, without limiting expression or strong opinions. They're also applicable regardless of the comment's tone.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. Promotional content will be removed and issues concerning Booking.com’s services should be routed to our Customer Service or Accommodation Service teams.
Contributions should be appropriate for a global audience. Please avoid using profanity or attempts to approximate profanity with creative spelling, in any language. Comments and media that include hate speech, discriminatory remarks, threats, sexually explicit remarks, violence, or the promotion of illegal activity are not permitted.
All content should be genuine and unique to the guest. Reviews are most valuable when they are original and unbiased. Your contribution should be yours. Booking.com property partners should not post on behalf of guests or offer incentives in exchange for reviews. Attempts to bring down the rating of a competitor by submitting a negative review will not be tolerated.
Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and other similar details.
The opinions expressed in contributions are those of Booking.com customers and properties, and not of Booking.com. Booking.com does not accept responsibility or liability for any reviews or responses. Booking.com is a distributor (without any obligation to verify) and not a publisher of these comments and responses.
By default, reviews are sorted based on the date of the review and on additional criteria to display the most relevant reviews, including but not limited to: your language, reviews with text, and non-anonymous reviews. Additional sorting options might be available (by type of traveler, by score, etc...).

United KingdomOnly slight issue is that my bedroom was right next to the central communal area so it was a bit noisy. This was fine as the other guests were considerate and went to bed at a reasonable time but might be tricky if other guests are noisy
Really friendly staff. Even made me a takeaway flight because my tour left so early in the morning. Beautiful riad full of Moroccan charm

SwedenVisited Marrakesh for 3 days without much planning, so we booked Riad Al Karama just couple of days before our travel. We're a couple with 2 kids, a 9 year old and a 13 year old. We were so happy we found this gem of a place in the heart of Marrakesh. The Riad was exactly how we expected going by the pictures. The Riad is just 3-4 minutes walk from the characteristic, busy, beautify and noisy Derb Debachi street and yet the Riad is so quiet and serene. A lot of attention has gone into the details of designing the Riad. Sylvie who owns the Riad was super kind and we felt so safe. Ali, who works at the Riad, took great care of us. The Riad is a 10 minute walk (via the Derb Debachi) to the main square Jemaa El Fna. There's also a small provision store a minute or two away from the Riad. For those planning to stay at the Riad - The taxis can't take you all the way to the Riad as these roads are very narrow. This applies not just for Riad Al Karama, but more most Riads in the medina that are not on the main roads. When arriving from the airport by taxi, you can either ask to get off at the Jemaa El Fna (main square), which is 10 minutes walk, but not a good idea lugging your suitcases. Instead, ask the taxi guy to drop you at the parking spot close to the Riad. This is about 300 meters away. If this is your first time, you'll still find it a bit of a challenge to navigate through those alleys to find the Riad (again, in general, not just Riad Al Karama). We arrived around 11:30pm at the car park. You'll find someone willing to show you the way (and even carry your suitcases). We found a bloke (Yasin?) who asked 40 MAD, but settled for 20 MAD. He took our luggage in his wheel barrow and took us through those alleys to the Riad. I strongly suggest you take this option (if you trust the person) when you arrive for the first time.

United KingdomDifficult to find- use the booking.com map rather than google maps as we originally went to the wrong place. It rained heavily during the night and we were woken up to water coming through the ceiling and onto one of the beds. Once fixed I’m sure this won’t be a problem but wasn’t a good night sleep at the time.
The location is great and Sylvie was lovely! The room was decorated well and the breakfast was nice.

CanadaSmall but cute Riad in the centre of Marrakech. Our host Sylvie was great and super sweet! The terrace was really nice and even though it was close to all the busy streets was really quiet.

GermanyEverything. The pickup from the airport was very smooth, even though we arrived at 12 am. Very warm welcome by everyone. Sylvie is a delight and very helpful! The location is great, really one of the best (this was our first time in Marrakech). We always felt at ease. It's in a quiet side street but the action is around the corner. The riad itself is incredibly cute. The roof terrace offers a view of the Koutoubia mosque, not to be missed! The room was very clean. Breakfast varied a little bit every morning, which we appreciated. It doesn't get boring. Be advised that this is a typical beautiful riad. Because of the architecture you have less privacy than in a standard hotel, but that's part of the deal :) (Windows are all towards the inner court). We never thought it's a disadvantage and would highly recommend this riad to everyone.

Spainwe couldn’t understand why breakfast is served so late, from 8.30 till 10.30. taking into account that there is plenty of tours which pick up is at 8am, you skip your breakfast and that’s a pity.
the road is super cute and very well taken care of. with plenty of little details and beautiful decoration. breakfast is good, and served in the lovely rooftop. plus, the owner is a super kind and welcoming. few minutes walking from the main square. we couldn’t have breakfast one day and she prepared us one to go.

CanadaOnly thing was I couldn't find the remote to turn on the heater, and it got cold at night. It was only until late at night I realized I needed it, so I'm sure if I asked they would have told me.
Sylvie was warm and welcoming from the start. The breakfast was delicious and filling, with fresh fruit and traditional baked goods. Location was great, and not hard to find. We used the app maps.me to navigate offline which was a huge help in the medina. Rooms were very clean, and courtyard felt homey yet spacious.

AustriaThe small riad is beautiful with cozy and clean rooms, good internet, great breakfast and a sunny rooftop terrace! Silvie, the host, gave us a warm welcome and helped us with all our requests (printing flight tickets, laundry, airport transport, late check-out). She’s a real sunshine who lifts up your mood immediately. The rest of the team is also super helpful & friendly. The riad is centrally located, in the middle if the Medina. We would come back again! :)

SwedenSilvi, our host is a gem, very helpfull & kind. The best! Our room was clean and spacious, very quiet and calm even nighttime. The Riad is close to the most busy shopping street, but still quiet and the area feels safe even night time and all narrow street.

FranceMaybe an AC is needed to be added in the room we were staying in. The breakfast even if really nice was too sweet for our taste (we liked the home made yogurt though).
We stayed three nights in the riad on October. It was an excellent stay, we enjoyed it a lot. The riad is very clean, well designed and equipped. Our room was very comfortable and charming. The riad has also a very beautiful rooftop where we enjoyed both breakfasts and sunsets. The owner was welcoming and very positive person, we had nice talks with her. We definitely recommand this riad.

BelgiumVery disappointed, the toilet seat was floating, bathroom electric plug was gouging out. Lots of mushrooms on side wall. Very tight space on sides of bed. Please check the pictures.
Highly overrated Riyad, very basic breakfast. Location is not far from Jemaa El Fna but in a small street. If you have big bags be prepared to take small cart-man to reach and get out of the property.
