How guest reviews work
Each review score is between 1 and 10. To get the overall score you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of them. We use a weighted review system, which means the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. Guests can also give separate “subscores” in crucial areas like location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value, and free Wifi. Note that guests submit their subscores and overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an accommodation that you booked through our platform if you stayed there, or if you got to the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialize in detecting fake reviews submitted to our platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team so that our fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we'd publish every review we get, positive and negative. However, we won’t display any reviews that include or refer to (among other things):
- Politically sensitive comments
- Promotional content
- Illegal activities
- Personal or sensitive info (e.g. emails, phone numbers, credit card info)
- Swear words, sexual references, hate speech, discriminatory remarks, threats, or references to violence
- Spam and fake content
- Animal cruelty
- Impersonation (i.e. if the writer is claiming to be someone else)
- Any violation of our review guidelines.
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out. We may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old, or if the accommodation has a change of ownership.
An accommodation can reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (e.g. language, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). You can sort and/or filter them by time of year, review score, and more.
Sometimes we show external review scores from other well-known travel websites, but make it clear when we do this.
Guidelines and Standards for Reviews
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly, without limiting expression or strong opinions. They're also applicable regardless of the comment's tone.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. Promotional content will be removed and issues concerning Booking.com’s services should be routed to our Customer Service or Accommodation Service teams.
Contributions should be appropriate for a global audience. Please avoid using profanity or attempts to approximate profanity with creative spelling, in any language. Comments and media that include hate speech, discriminatory remarks, threats, sexually explicit remarks, violence, or the promotion of illegal activity are not permitted.
All content should be genuine and unique to the guest. Reviews are most valuable when they are original and unbiased. Your contribution should be yours. Booking.com property partners should not post on behalf of guests or offer incentives in exchange for reviews. Attempts to bring down the rating of a competitor by submitting a negative review will not be tolerated.
Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and other similar details.
The opinions expressed in contributions are those of Booking.com customers and properties, and not of Booking.com. Booking.com does not accept responsibility or liability for any reviews or responses. Booking.com is a distributor (without any obligation to verify) and not a publisher of these comments and responses.
By default, reviews are sorted based on the date of the review and on additional criteria to display the most relevant reviews, including but not limited to: your language, reviews with text, and non-anonymous reviews. Additional sorting options might be available (by type of traveler, by score, etc...).

Verified reviewBeautiful riad with authentic feel. The bed, the architecture and the overall aesthetic make you feel like a true sultana of old times. Absolutely great location, right next to the souks for shopping , very close to Jemma el fnaa square and all the attractions like Bahia palace, Saadian tombs, el Badi palace. Very quiet and clean. Great communication. Asad and Abdul are very friendly and informative, they are always ready to assist you with everything you need, to arrange transportation etc. I really appreciated that Abdul welcomed me with mint tea even though I arrived at 1.30am!!

Verified reviewWhat a beautiful Riad…would highly recommended staying here! Spotlessly clean and the decor is so well thought out! Tea and cake on arrival was so thoughtful! Was definitely a cool place to come back to to get out of the 43 degree heat! Abdul made the stay for me!! My little chats with him I will never forget! I was a solo traveller and I could not have felt safer. Yes you have to walk to the souks to get here, but if you want to stay in a traditional Riad you are going to have to do this with most of them! Would definitely stay here again and thank you to Abdul and all the staff for their kind hospitality!

Verified reviewExceptionally friendly staff. Lovely big room with good aircon. Perfect location - central in the Medina but on a quiet street.
Only a small thing but I feel like the room security could have been improved. We only had one door key to lock a padlock and we came back once and the room was unlocked. Again, not a big deal and would definitely stay here again.

Verified reviewA wonderful Riad with so much history and an oasis of calm . The host Asad greeted us and kindly spent time going through the facilités , tour dires and tips on getting around . Abdul looked after us during our stay . He is the kindest and most welcoming person and made our stay truly memorable. The Riad is minutes from the spice market and central to the main square. Do not hesitate to book this unique charming Riad . The heart of a family business built with care and kindness

Verified reviewWe had such an amazing stay here! Assad and Abdul could not have been more helpful and accommodating and Abdul really went above and beyond in making sure we had everything we needed - his company was one of the highlights of our Marrakech trip! The room was immaculately clean, the shower was great and the bed was very comfortable. We really enjoyed the open air courtyard and rooftop terrace - it makes the Riad a tranquil little space in the middle of the Medina. The location was amazing too, super central but in its own little quiet side street. Probably one of the best stay experiences we've had.
I think it's pretty clear we don't have anything negative to say about this place!

Verified reviewThe Riad is beautiful, cozy, and centrally located for easy access to the souks and Jemaa el-Fna square. But without a doubt, the best part is the hospitality — all the help, information, and warm treatment provided to the guests. Asad, whom we saw less often, was great too. But Abdul truly stands out: a top man, excellent in every way — fun, charming, and always attentive, constantly making sure everything was perfect for us. Thank you so much for such a special stay.

Verified reviewOur stay at Riad Al.Mamoune was great. Asad was very communicative and responded quickly to questions and came to meet us when we arrived so we could find our way through the souk. The breakfast was fantastic and the staff were friendly and welcoming. Asad suggested a couple of activities for us including a day trip to the Ourika Valley and a hammam which were good and because we had an early departure, made sure we had some breakfast before leaving. Overall we had a lovely time and staying at the riad was a great experience

Verified reviewIncredibly great. Abdul and Azad and the entire staff were such great hosts, always making sure we are feeling comfortable. They really went the extra mile, organizing toys for our daughters, organizing a stroller when ours was lost in transit, making little gifts for our girls. Just wow.

Verified reviewWe had a lovely 2 night stay and all the staff were so welcoming and helpful. It was like staying with family. The house old and beautiful. The area felt safe and was quiet at night. We walked all around the Souk and Medina. A fabulous base. Generous continental breakfast each morning. The staff and owner were the real stars though.

Verified reviewSuch friendly staff and owner, so considerate towards each guests individual needs. The calm enchanting vibe of the Riad offers such a needed contrast to the Souks where it is located. Abdul and Asad were just the kindest souls to me and my family. I cannot wait to come back for longer!

Verified reviewI had an angel on my shoulder when I chose this Riad out of the 100's . The authenticity of this very old Riad in the heart of the Medina was very special. But the absolute gem of this Riad is the owner, Assad, and the beautiful staff he has working with him. Assad took such amazing care in every respect to make us feel so welcome. I will be forever grateful for the experience he gave us and wish him good fortune, health and happiness. 🙏🪷
