Read more– opens a dialog boxEach review score is between 1–10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We're currently testing a weighted review system in Malta and Iceland (excluding hotel and vacation rental chains). For properties in these countries, the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate "subscores" in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money, and free Wifi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an accommodation that you booked through our platform if you stayed there, or if you got to the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialize in detecting fake reviews submitted to our platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team so that our fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we'd publish every review we get, positive and negative. However, we won’t display any reviews that include or refer to (among other things):
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out. We may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old, or if the accommodation has a change of ownership.
An accommodation can reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (e.g. language, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). You can sort and/or filter them by time of year, review score, and more.
Sometimes we show external review scores from other well-known travel websites, but make it clear when we do this.
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly, without limiting expression or strong opinions. They're also applicable regardless of the comment's tone.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. Promotional content will be removed and issues concerning Booking.com’s services should be routed to our Customer Service or Accommodation Service teams.
Contributions should be appropriate for a global audience. Please avoid using profanity or attempts to approximate profanity with creative spelling, in any language. Comments and media that include hate speech, discriminatory remarks, threats, sexually explicit remarks, violence, or the promotion of illegal activity are not permitted.
All content should be genuine and unique to the guest. Reviews are most valuable when they are original and unbiased. Your contribution should be yours. Booking.com property partners should not post on behalf of guests or offer incentives in exchange for reviews. Attempts to bring down the rating of a competitor by submitting a negative review will not be tolerated.

By default, reviews are sorted based on the date of the review and on additional criteria to display the most relevant reviews, including but not limited to: your language, reviews with text, and non-anonymous reviews. Additional sorting options might be available (by type of traveler, by score, etc...).

SpainThe room was a touch small for two people but other than that, we had no real complaints. Overall, this was a minor thing given all of the other features of the Riad.
The Riad Chergui is beautifully laid out and feels like a small oasis in the chaos and hubbub that is the medina in Marrakesh. The central courtyard and breakfast areas are cool and comfortable, the (icy cold!) pool area is lovely and the rooms are small for two but all you really need. The rooftop area is well laid out and a comfortable spot to enjoy views over the city. The breakfast is spectacularly good and the service from Abdul is second to none. He is super friendly, polite, well mannered, urbane and educated, speaking English, French, Arabic and 3 local dialects of his home country, Senegal. The rest of the staff are super helpful and friendly. My son got very sick on our trip and Adbul and his team rallied round to help him recover quickly. They are a great team. The Riad is easy to get to from the airport by taxi and a short walk away from the souk and main square in Marrakesh. When we settled up the bill, the owner allowed us to use up our remaining dirhams to part pay which was useful.

Riad Chergui was an oasis of calm in Marrakesh. The pool was so lovely, as were the staff. The breakfast and dinner were also really good. I am so pleased we chose to stay here. what a treat. We'll be back.

Czech RepublicNothing :). It is a "pure" orient. Maybe the staff could smile less :)
Very pleasant "home" atmosphere. When returning from the city, it was almost obligatory to walk through the alleys connected to the Medina of Marrakech, which is not a bad thing.

FranceJust the size of the room was kind of small and there are dangerous steps up to the bathroom part of the room. The bathroom is also very small (short ceiling).
The reception was incredible, we felt very welcomed. The riad was big but nicely aired out and with lots of space. The pool was great for lounging around and the location was perfect!

United States of AmericaLocated, like most Riads, on a narrow side street. Hard to find and taxi dropped us off far away, so street kids were leading us and then asking for a tip bigger than our taxi ride. The owner met us and was very nice and took care of the problem.
Excellent food. Nice, comfortable outdoor spaces for lounging with pool and Bar. Staff were attentive and provided great hospitality. Nice room, though basic which is what we wanted. Would love to go back.

United KingdomThe bathroom in our children’s twin room was a bit awkward but not a game-changer. would still book again.
Beautiful and tranquil - an absolute oasis just a short walk from the souks. The pool was essential in 35 degree temperatures. The breakfast was really great value and filled us all up. We had one evening meal too which was very tasty. The rooms were super, clean and comfortable - having a fragment orange tree outside your bedroom door is so different and fragrant! Lovely staff - multilingual and helpful. Perfect base for a family with teenage children.

United KingdomNothing!
Quite simply, this is a tranquil oasis tucked around the corner from the hustle and bustle of the souk. As you walk in, the noises and smells of Central Marrakech fade away and the calm and quiet of the Riad take over. The decor is charming and the central pool is a sight to behold. We were welcomed by the incredibly helpful Nordine, who could not have done more to welcome us and answer our questions. The terrace is a lovely spot to relax in the fading sun and the poolside area couldn't be more relaxing. If the extreme heat isn't your thing, there are cosy corners to relax with a nice pile of cushions. Dinner the first evening was amazing. We quickly found out that the food is unrivalled in Marrakech. Choose the 15 or 20 Euro dinner option, at least the first night and you will probably want it again. We had a long day in the desert and loved coming back to the calm of the poolside area, watching the palm trees flutter in the breeze and enjoy the fabulous hospitality of Emmanuelle and Abdu. A special mention to Abdu, who alongside Nordine, went out of his way to ensure we were welcomed with a huge smile and lovely conversation. A large part of what makes this place is the amazing tranquility of this oasis combined with the amazing kindness. I celebrated my birthday here, and chocolate cake suddenly appeared for breakfast. An incredibly thoughtful gesture - thank you! Aside from the above, the wifi was strong and reliable, rooms absolutely spotless, linen very clean, beds lovely and firm (we love firm mattresses), breakfast excellent (lovely little donuts and incredible jams alongside the usual coffee, juice, fruit and yoghurt) and the simple yet thoughtful decision to supply a large bottle of water per room per day. This Riad has got all the little things right and it adds up to being a wonderful, relaxing and memorable stay. You won't regret staying here, we certainly don't. Thank you to everyone at Riad Chergui! We will definitely be back!

TurkeyNothing really.
The location and decor. The staff Abdul, Erdogan and Nurettin were always exceedingly helpful. So were all of the cleaning staff. There was always a good morning said with a smile. Even though my French is negligible and Arabic nonexistent, I had no problem communicating. The food was of the highest quality. I would definitely stay there again.

Riad Chergui is a quiet and relaxing refuge in the middle of the streets of Marrakesh. There’s plenty of possibilities to sit or lay down to read, have tea and relax. The staff is very attentive and polite, and breakfast was delicious! Rooms were cozy
