Read more– opens a dialog boxEach review score is between 1 and 10. To get the overall score you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of them. We use a weighted review system, which means the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. Guests can also give separate “subscores” in crucial areas like location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value, and free Wifi. Note that guests submit their subscores and overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an accommodation that you booked through our platform if you stayed there, or if you got to the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialize in detecting fake reviews submitted to our platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team so that our fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we'd publish every review we get, positive and negative. However, we won’t display any reviews that include or refer to (among other things):
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out. We may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old, or if the accommodation has a change of ownership.
An accommodation can reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (e.g. language, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). You can sort and/or filter them by time of year, review score, and more.
Sometimes we show external review scores from other well-known travel websites, but make it clear when we do this.
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly, without limiting expression or strong opinions. They're also applicable regardless of the comment's tone.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. Promotional content will be removed and issues concerning Booking.com’s services should be routed to our Customer Service or Accommodation Service teams.
Contributions should be appropriate for a global audience. Please avoid using profanity or attempts to approximate profanity with creative spelling, in any language. Comments and media that include hate speech, discriminatory remarks, threats, sexually explicit remarks, violence, or the promotion of illegal activity are not permitted.
All content should be genuine and unique to the guest. Reviews are most valuable when they are original and unbiased. Your contribution should be yours. Booking.com property partners should not post on behalf of guests or offer incentives in exchange for reviews. Attempts to bring down the rating of a competitor by submitting a negative review will not be tolerated.
Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and other similar details.
The opinions expressed in contributions are those of Booking.com customers and properties, and not of Booking.com. Booking.com does not accept responsibility or liability for any reviews or responses. Booking.com is a distributor (without any obligation to verify) and not a publisher of these comments and responses.
By default, reviews are sorted based on the date of the review and on additional criteria to display the most relevant reviews, including but not limited to: your language, reviews with text, and non-anonymous reviews. Additional sorting options might be available (by type of traveler, by score, etc...).

Beautiful property in a good location for the delights of old town Marrakech.. easy walking to all the must visit places . Friendly neighbourhood.. local eatery, beautiful hamman spa , pharmacy and taxi rank right there. Not accessible by taxi but just a short stroll from drop off.The staff are delightful and respectful and most accommodating.. helping assisting and ensuring that all my requirements were met .. making calls on my behalf .. chaperoning to taxi and so on. Wonderful experience ..thank you all so very much.

United StatesThe room was a bit dark, but it's a riad, so not really a complaint here ...
Hotel was very well located and silent, staff was really really nice, the hammam and massage were really one of the best I've had in Morocco, the hotel was nice the pool is a saviour, breakfast was excellent. I would definitely repeat.

United KingdomWas not clear prior to booking limited food and drink options - we were referred to using the sister hotel a short walk away. No alcohol ( though looks like recently did have a licence )

United KingdomRiad Elegancia was a genuinely perfect place to stay. The two stand outs for us were the property itself (it is beautiful and so zen) and the service (nothing was too much, the cleaning was spot on and everything was dealt with promptly and efficiently). As it was Ramadan no alcohol was served, but you could visit their sister hotel nearby, which was super close and also had a beautiful roof terrace, if you fancied a tipple. Will absolutely be back

United KingdomWe would have preferred being able to choose what to order for breakfast instead of receiving a standard set of dishes. Also, the windows in the room face a common area so you can't really leave them open. To get to the Riad entrance you need to walk a couple of minutes in a tiny and dark street.
I really loved the gorgeous design in the reception area, so colourful and unique. The team is absolutely amazing and would go above and beyond to help in any way. We loved spending time on the roof top area where a lovely bar and a nice pool are. Our room was clean and so beautifully designed, with an extremely comfy mattress too.

GermanyThe Riad is slightly on the pricey side compared to others - but of course very luxurious.
Very nice and beautifully decorated Riad with very friendly and helpful staff. Extremly authentic Morrocan decor.

GermanyHonestly, cannot recall anything I didn't like. Perhaps the location was not super centric, but is very well located anyways.
I absolutely love the decor and the attention put into the details. Everything looked quite lush, and cared about and I liked that there was a spa and therefore the possibility of a Hamam experience inside the hotel already.

We enjoyed staying at Elegancia. Everything from facilities, location to taste of food, and especially the staff ‘s kindness matched our expectations. The staff hospitality is great, far more better than in other hotels (4 or 5 stars) we’ve been in Western Europe. They really know what hospitality means.

United KingdomAll was excellent, though a couple of suggestions would be to provide the guests with toiletries as a 5 star establishment (e.g. toothbrushes, toothpaste, etc) and to install additional lighting on the terrace. The terrace was dimly lit for ambience however due to the lights being spaced out, it was too dark to have dinner upstairs.
The service provided by the staff, they were very attentive to all needs (locations, taxis, general queries/ assistance). The decor was a beautiful introduction to the architecture of Morocco, I would most definitely recommend staying in a Riad to fully appreciate the culture and beauty of the country. I would like to give a special thanks to the doorman, who would receive and escort us to and from the property after dark, we felt very safe during our time here.

United KingdomThe side street to access the riad is very quiet and is a minute or so walk from the main street, solo female travels might feel less comfortable walking there alone in the evening, although hotel staff very attentive at letting guests in via the doorbell and is well lit. The vegan breakfast options were limited (jam, bread, fruit, refreshments) and overpriced at 13euros, though tasty. The bar/restaurant on the terrace did not appear to be open during our stay outside of breakfast hours.
The riad is beautiful, stylish and the rooms are elegantly decorated. The bed was incredibly comfy. Having the swimming pool on the terrace meant that we could sunbathe and cool down all in one place (unlike a lot of riads where the pool is downstairs and in shade). There were lots of special extra touches such as complimentary biscuits and wine left for us in the room and Morrocan tea and sweet treats on arrival. The riad is conveniently located a 25 minute walk to the Jardin Majorelle and a 15 minute walk to Le Jardin Secret/ Ben Youssef Madras, with a number of restaurants nearby, set away from the hussle and bustle of busier areas closer to Jemma El Fenn. Taxi rank close by to the riad should you need it to travel. Would highly recommend, we had a wonderful stay. Great for those wanting a bit of luxury and to relax.

Saudi ArabiaThe riad is in a central location which is perfect for getting around but the alleyway leading to the hotel can be improved. I also had a little trouble breathing due to the air condition in the room. For anyone wishing to do some work in the central hall maybe a little more or different lighting would help create a better work environment if needed.
The staff were amazing, helpful and, accommodating. Both current hotel managers, Amina and Mohammed were exceptional, professional, and kind. Moreover, compared to other riads visited this was the most beautiful in terms of color and design.
