Read more– opens a dialog boxEach review score is between 1–10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We're currently testing a weighted review system in Malta and Iceland (excluding hotel and vacation rental chains). For properties in these countries, the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate "subscores" in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money, and free Wifi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an accommodation that you booked through our platform if you stayed there, or if you got to the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialize in detecting fake reviews submitted to our platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team so that our fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we'd publish every review we get, positive and negative. However, we won’t display any reviews that include or refer to (among other things):
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out. We may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old, or if the accommodation has a change of ownership.
An accommodation can reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (e.g. language, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). You can sort and/or filter them by time of year, review score, and more.
Sometimes we show external review scores from other well-known travel websites, but make it clear when we do this.
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly, without limiting expression or strong opinions. They're also applicable regardless of the comment's tone.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. Promotional content will be removed and issues concerning Booking.com’s services should be routed to our Customer Service or Accommodation Service teams.
Contributions should be appropriate for a global audience. Please avoid using profanity or attempts to approximate profanity with creative spelling, in any language. Comments and media that include hate speech, discriminatory remarks, threats, sexually explicit remarks, violence, or the promotion of illegal activity are not permitted.
All content should be genuine and unique to the guest. Reviews are most valuable when they are original and unbiased. Your contribution should be yours. Booking.com property partners should not post on behalf of guests or offer incentives in exchange for reviews. Attempts to bring down the rating of a competitor by submitting a negative review will not be tolerated.
Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and other similar details.
The opinions expressed in contributions are those of Booking.com customers and properties, and not of Booking.com. Booking.com does not accept responsibility or liability for any reviews or responses. Booking.com is a distributor (without any obligation to verify) and not a publisher of these comments and responses.
By default, reviews are sorted based on the date of the review and on additional criteria to display the most relevant reviews, including but not limited to: your language, reviews with text, and non-anonymous reviews. Additional sorting options might be available (by type of traveler, by score, etc...).

SpainEverything was perfect. If I HAD to pick something it would be the pillows. I would personally prefer smaller ones as my neck was sore the first night.
Everything in the Riad was fabulous! The treatment from the personnel was outstanding… from offering to arrange reservations, to arranging our lifts to the airport… everything!!

United States of AmericaNothing, it was more than perfect.
The property was immaculate, meticulously decorated and the staff was incredible. They are all very kind, and put so much care and effort into absolutely every detail. The location was great and pretty easy to find from the main road. Mr Mohamed showed us his private art collection it was such a treasure. We will be back one day, inshallah

United KingdomGetting in and out of the shower was tricky, people with mobility issues might struggle. Shower gels, shampoo etc could do with an update, too small and difficult to get into. Also towels and robes a bit tired and slippers would be good for the tiled floor (it was unseasonably cold when we went). TV is very limited channel wise and very old, this is a minor point given you’re in Marrakesh! Yoga mats would be ideal to use on the rooftop. All minor points, just our thoughts on what could be improved.
Location was excellent. Very friendly and helpful staff. Hamman and massage were great and set by the pool courtyard, with an option for a sauna too. Food was excellent, small list of traditional dishes and done beautifully. Our room (if you can call it that!) was the Royal suite and huge, a separate living room and dressing areas. Beautiful Riad, rooftop was gorgeous in the sunshine and a lovely place to have your breakfast. Live music was great. A beautiful place to retire too after a day in the medina. Lots of places to sit and drink the delicious mint tea. Thank you!

Beautifully presented riad with a real charm to it. The decoration and craftsmanship was unbelievable. The service was 5 star throughout & nothing was too much trouble. It is located just off a busy market street near one of the Medina’s main gates, which could be a bit overwhelming for some, but it really felt like you were in the heart of Marrakesh and the riad was a peaceful contrast. Also, it is pretty much exactly in-between the majorelle garden and the city centre/souks (15 min walk to both) which we found super useful. Would definitely recommend staying here but would suggest requesting a room on the upper floor as those rooms feel more cosy and private.

IrelandOverall this stay was fantastic, if we ever came back to Marrakesh we would stay here again. Firstly the staff are so friendly and they can’t do enough for you. From the moment we arrived we were so well looked after and the service is 10/10. The location is fantastic on the edge of the medina, however it’s quiet and walking distance from most things. The hotel is spotless, the rooms are beautiful and the overall decor and facilities were beautiful. There is nothing we would change about the stay it was fantastic!

United KingdomThe surrounding area. It’s in the heart of the medina so the surrounding area is expected but I would have preferred a quieter area. However the riad itself was very nice. Just be careful when walking around on the roads etc
The staff were very helpful and nice. Answered all our questions quickly and were on hand 24/7, couldn’t fault their service at all from start to the end. The riad was near one of the entrances to the old city. Location was perfect if you want to be near the medina but if you prefer a more quiet scenery I would suggest the new city which is about 20 mins walk away from the medina. However, this riad was perfect and would definitely stay here again

United KingdomAlmost everything was perfect during our stay at Riad Kniza. The only points were that the fireplace in our room was not in use due to a technical issue. We stayed in Marrakesh in December and would have loved to use the fireplace which was a room feature we were looking forwards to prior to our stay. The TV was also not working in our room.
Riad Kniza was exceptional. The architecture of the building is very impressive, along with the decoration. The view from the terrace is breathtaking and we enjoyed a few meals up there. The staff were lovely and very welcoming. They were very attentive to our needs and made sure we had the best possible experience. We booked a few excursions through the hotel and these were high quality and very enjoyable. The breakfast was outstanding and it was very special to try local produce every morning. We also had dinner at the hotel a few times and the food was also really nice. We were also given the opportunity to visit the owner’s museum attached to the Riad, which was fantastic. The owner of the Riad is a lovely man with an extensive knowledge of Moroccan culture. It was extremely interesting and very special.
