Read more– opens a dialog boxEach review score is between 1–10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We're currently testing a weighted review system in Malta and Iceland (excluding hotel and vacation rental chains). For properties in these countries, the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate "subscores" in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money, and free Wifi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an accommodation that you booked through our platform if you stayed there, or if you got to the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialize in detecting fake reviews submitted to our platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team so that our fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we'd publish every review we get, positive and negative. However, we won’t display any reviews that include or refer to (among other things):
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out. We may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old, or if the accommodation has a change of ownership.
An accommodation can reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (e.g. language, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). You can sort and/or filter them by time of year, review score, and more.
Sometimes we show external review scores from other well-known travel websites, but make it clear when we do this.
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly, without limiting expression or strong opinions. They're also applicable regardless of the comment's tone.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. Promotional content will be removed and issues concerning Booking.com’s services should be routed to our Customer Service or Accommodation Service teams.
Contributions should be appropriate for a global audience. Please avoid using profanity or attempts to approximate profanity with creative spelling, in any language. Comments and media that include hate speech, discriminatory remarks, threats, sexually explicit remarks, violence, or the promotion of illegal activity are not permitted.
All content should be genuine and unique to the guest. Reviews are most valuable when they are original and unbiased. Your contribution should be yours. Booking.com property partners should not post on behalf of guests or offer incentives in exchange for reviews. Attempts to bring down the rating of a competitor by submitting a negative review will not be tolerated.
Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and other similar details.
The opinions expressed in contributions are those of Booking.com customers and properties, and not of Booking.com. Booking.com does not accept responsibility or liability for any reviews or responses. Booking.com is a distributor (without any obligation to verify) and not a publisher of these comments and responses.
By default, reviews are sorted based on the date of the review and on additional criteria to display the most relevant reviews, including but not limited to: your language, reviews with text, and non-anonymous reviews. Additional sorting options might be available (by type of traveler, by score, etc...).

United KingdomSamir, the safe is not secured to anything and very light so I would recommend attaching to the wardrobe. Other then that no faults!
What3words address if you’re struggling to find the place: unwell.adding.allows - it is quite unclear on google maps and difficult to find on day 1. We couldn’t have asked for a better host in Marrakesh. I would strongly recommend you stay here. Samir is there everyday and they even had Abdul working the night shift if you want a pot of tea or really anything. If you’re still hungry after breakfast they will cook you more food and Samir booked our day tours (which was cheaper than we found online), gave us lots of recommendations and even walked us to our shuttle bus.

FranceWe had the best time! Abdul and Sameer were amazing, so welcoming and friendly - they helped us with everything (getting taxis, finding our way around, recommendations for restaurants and activities, plus I arrived alone and Abdul walked me to the restaurant where I was meeting friends to make sure I got there safely), and always with a smile! Abdul taught us how to make the traditional Moroccan tea and taught us about local traditions, which was really interesting. The riad was clean and comfortable, amazing rooftop and really close to the main square and Souk. Breakfast was incredible, and Zahira made the most delicious breads (for breakfast and afternoon snacks). We would 100% go back to Riad Swaka and recommend for anyone to stay here! Perfect for groups and solo travelers. The personal touches as it’s a small place made our stay extra special.

United KingdomThe alleyways leading to the property were a little run down though this definitely wouldn’t put me off returning. Not the greatest approach to the property but the property itself more than made up for this
Fabulous property with real homely feel. Staff went over and above to cater for our needs & were extremely friendly & welcoming. Great breakfast served each morning

United KingdomBy the end of the week the generous breakfasts which were tasty but very carb based, began to be too much. More fruit and cereal is needed perhaps. Remember to take ear plugs because Riads by nature are not that soundproof. All guests were considerate and we slept well. The pool is more of a water feature to dip your toes in.
Quiet Oasis overlooking the Palace garden entrance. Abdul & Samir were thoughtful kind hosts and Zahira a great cook. We loved the security and relaxing on the terrace. Lovely Moroccan details in the decor. We stayed a week and felt really at home. We even enjoyed the many confusing lanes to find it once we had orientated . Comfy beds

CyprusThere was humidity in the rooms. No light at night at the road to reach the Riad and we used our mobile phones flashlight.
Located near main road. Clean. Personnel was excellent! Abdul & Samir are very polite and helpful! Breakfast very good.

CanadaThere was nothing we didn’t like. It was a great stay!
The best part about this property was the staff. You couldn’t get a more helpful and friendly staff that was ready to help you with absolutely anything you would need. The property was wonderfully located in the Medina, not far from anything. 😀

NetherlandsHonestly, our stay was near perfect. Only tiny thing was that the room was a little small, so it was difficult to open up our suitcases properly.
The staff was amazing! Abdel and Samir went out of their way to make our stay as comfortable as possible. The breakfast was also great and the riad looked clean (and smelled AMAZING) at all times!

United KingdomThis Riad takes hospitality to a whole new level. The stuff is the kindest and most friendly you’ll ever meet: they are always ready to help and assist with anything from requests related to the stay to questions about the city and the country as a whole. The property itself is stunning and super clean and welcoming - a quiet haven from the hectic city life. But I have to say that the staff made our whole trip as amazing as it could possibly be.

PortugalTo save energy, NOT to change towels every day, but only when necessary, I suggest to put signs in every bathroom that would say to 'In order to save our water, Please put the towels into the bath if you want them to be replaced by fresh ones.'
Incredibly friendly staff, did everything they could to accomodate our difficult diet (gluten and lactose intolerances). Breakfast was served on the terrace up the roof, lovely atmosphere. The staff informs you but doesn't in any way pushes to buy tours or other services. The Riad itself is in a quiet street of the Medina (ok ok, wild cats and a few bits of rubbish in the streets, otherwise safe and above all quiet). Everything is nearby and can be visited on foot.

IrelandVery small thing, like toilet paper was not replenished but it would not stop us returning.
Great location close to all of the main tourist sites, also not far to walk for restaurants and coffee. Breakfast was really nice especially the pancakes. Samir and Abdoul treated us like family and went out of their way to help us. Our room was a good size and the beds were very comfy. We would have no hesitation to go back.
