Read more– opens a dialog boxEach review score is between 1–10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We're currently testing a weighted review system in Malta and Iceland (excluding hotel and vacation rental chains). For properties in these countries, the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate "subscores" in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money, and free Wifi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an accommodation that you booked through our platform if you stayed there, or if you got to the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialize in detecting fake reviews submitted to our platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team so that our fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we'd publish every review we get, positive and negative. However, we won’t display any reviews that include or refer to (among other things):
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out. We may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old, or if the accommodation has a change of ownership.
An accommodation can reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (e.g. language, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). You can sort and/or filter them by time of year, review score, and more.
Sometimes we show external review scores from other well-known travel websites, but make it clear when we do this.
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly, without limiting expression or strong opinions. They're also applicable regardless of the comment's tone.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. Contributions should be appropriate for a global audience. Please avoid using profanity or attempts to approximate profanity with creative spelling, in any language. Comments and media that include hate speech, discriminatory remarks, threats, sexually explicit remarks, violence, or the promotion of illegal activity are not permitted.
All content should be genuine and unique to the guest. Reviews are most valuable when they are original and unbiased. Your contribution should be yours. Booking.com property partners should not post on behalf of guests or offer incentives in exchange for reviews. Attempts to bring down the rating of a competitor by submitting a negative review will not be tolerated.

This small hotel of 24 rooms is in a very beautiful and spacious setting, with two swimming pools, an excellent restaurant, and plenty of options for sunbathing or sitting in the shade. The view of the Atlas Mountains is spectacular. It’s very conveniently located - less than an hour from Marrakech and the airport, and a short drive from Amizmiz. The highlight of our stay was a full day walking in the mountains with a local guide, Latifa, who arranged a delicious lunch in a Berber village.

The Capaldi is the perfect place to relax & get away from it all. Whether you want to lie in the sun or relax in the shade there was somewhere inviting for you. We loved the views of the mountains, the real fires in the evening when it got cooler, the charming staff & the delicious & varied food.

United KingdomThe grounds of the Capaldi were absolutely beautiful. Once you walk past the main entrance, you’re welcomed with the pool and the backdrop of the Atlas Mountains. It’s totally a place to relax and unwind, and a great retreat away from the bustle of Marrakesh. Funnily was here for a couple of nights in late November and was the only guest there for 1 night (which was rare). Very much appreciated the private experience I got during dinner. A big shout out to Carol, who’s the manager there and is so lovely ensuring everything was going well. Very much enjoyed the food, as expected, it’s more white table cloth dining. Very minor but would liked to have seen more Moroccan dishes though. Overall, would recommend the Capaldi for a relaxing escape from the city.

Our stay was perfect, not a single bad word to say. Everyone, especially Carole, were amazing from start to end. Our room was amazing, the food was incredible and the staff so friendly. They even organised a private meal by the pool and by the fire which went above and beyond. We will 100% return. Thank you for making our trip so special.

United KingdomOur stay was flawless; there wasn't a single aspect we didn't adore
From the moment we arrived, the exceptional welcome and ambiance of this hotel were immediately evident. The staff was incredibly accommodating, and their service and friendliness were outstanding. The hotel itself is stunning, and the culinary experience is second to none. Each night, the menu presented new, even more delectable choices than the night before. We highly recommend arranging trips through the hotel. One particularly memorable experience was a humbling hiking trip to the Atlas Mountains. Despite not being severely affected by the earthquake, the hotel's owner, Ed, maintains high ethical standards and is deeply committed to supporting the local community. This commitment was also echoed by our wonderful guide, Latifa, who spoke very highly of The Capaldi and the support they provide to locals. Our brief interaction with Ed, the owner, made it clear that he is genuinely dedicated to both the local community and offering authentic experiences to his guests. A highlight of our stay was sharing tea with a local family in the mountains. Witnessing the aftermath of the devastation was heartrending, but the resilience and warm hospitality of the mountain people were incredibly moving. This part of our stay was truly unforgettable and comes highly recommended. Overall, our experience at this hotel was nothing short of amazing. It's a must-visit for those seeking a blend of luxury, cultural immersion, and genuine care for local communities.

United KingdomA little more attention to detail would move this from a very good hotel to a fantastic one. Just things like regularly clearing away other people's glasses & coffee cups by the pool (which sometimes weren't done all day), turning down beds at night, access to free filtered water and a few little snacks in rooms. And PLEASE, in this lovely land of plentiful fruit, serve proper fresh orange juice at breakfast instead instead of that processed rubbish. Also be good to add some veg options to menu.
BEAUTIFUL grounds and rooms with views over to the mountains - just like the pics. Plenty of areas to sit, it never feels crowded. A real slice of heaven. Very friendly staff. Restaurant meals delicious.

United KingdomI can report that the H is back in Hotel and what an amazing hotel it is. The owners Tara and Ed have created something very special from almost nothing - and it is visually stunning with beautiful grounds and lovely large rooms. Good service and great food. I would have appreciated more light in the bedroom but that was minor - a wonderful stay and excellent massage.

United KingdomMaybe more light snack options available in day/with evening drinks. Perhaps some maps with walking route to the lake - we got lost!
Hotel is set in beautiful immaculate grounds. 2 pools - smaller heated pool which was great for visiting in November. Bedroom was large -v clean, nice furnishing with amazing powerful shower. Bar/restaurant area is set within the gardens. Lunch served on the outside patio. Evenings - bar area has great open fire with seating area to relax and have a pre dinner aperitif. Menu changes each evening. Drinks and meals good value. Staff are all amazing - friendly and great service. Carol (Manager) is lovely - so bubbly and enthusiastic - checking we were being looked after. Owners Ed & Tara come and chat to guests each evening - you definitely get caught up in their passion and love of the hotel they have created.

PortugalConstructive comments. For a 5 star hotel, there were no sweeteners, my husband is diabetic. Morocco is known for their delicious oranges. In all the other properties we stayed at, including the dessert, we were served fresh orange juice at breakfast. Not at the Capaldi, and when we asked for fresh orange we were told it was not possible. No nuts or nibbles available when you have a drink. Lots of chipped china. These are small issues that can be so easily be fixed, but irritating when you are staying in a 5 star property. However we did not let any of this spoil our stay, and we would definitely return.
Having spent the first week of our holiday touring, we chose to spend our last days at the Capaldi to relax, and that is exactly what we did. It was a peaceful retreat amongst olive trees, very private, beautiful swimming pools and gardens. The setting of the restaurant lovely. On departure we had a late flight, and the hotel very kindly allowed us to keep our room.

United KingdomI felt a little apprehensive on the drive up to the hotel. The dirt road and an “H” missing of the hotel sign made you wonder where you were being taken. Gorgeous once you get inside the property.
When you arrived at Capaldi you instantly relaxed. A wonderful place to stop and unwind.
