I arrived late but was still able to check in after messaging the number on the front door – really appreciated that the owner came to let me in, even though it was past their check-in time. I stayed the first night in a mixed dorm (without a reservation), and then extended my stay and moved to the women’s room, which was really nice and comfortable. They also have boxes for storing personal items (not big enough for luggage though, but still a must in hostels!) I think they keep the doors unlocked at night, but Chișinău felt like a safe city so it didn’t bother me at all 😊 Overall, a great stay!

The disadvantage is that the curtains constantly fall on the window and they cannot be hung without a stem.

I stayed at Buddha Hostel In June for 10 days. For such a modest price that they offer, this is a completely acceptable hostel. One of the best benefits is the location as It is in the center. There are two bus stops to get to the Central market and 3 stops to the shopping center UNIC. Nearby there are many cafes and a restaurant with delicious dishes. Another advantage is the presence of a kitchen and washing machine. The kitchen has a table, a stove where you can cook and a refrigerator. The washing machine is free to use.

I had to change rooms in the middle of my stay, an administration request. There was only one bathroom- toilet for the hostel use. Guests from a guesthouse next door were allowed to use it too.

It was centrally located. The heater was on when the weather turned rainy, snowy and quite cold.

The hostel should be closed due to hygiene conditions. Cockroaches are infested throughout the kitchen and sleeping areas. They're everywhere, even in my bed. You wake up at night because the cockroaches are crawling all over your body. Cleanliness is also poor in the hostel. The toilets look so dirty, the toilet lid is broken, and the manager doesn't feel responsible for it. It's the worst hostel I've ever seen.

The Ukrainian man is the owner or manager there and he handles everything so pathetic, he only speaks Russian and he try to scam the English speakers, for me and other he said he doesn’t consider booking.com receipts. He took again money from us. Also i complained booking.com and they didn’t take action

Rudest staff, unhygienic toilets and no air flow in the rooms. No air conditioner or fan. Broken toilet doors. The receptionist tall guy(my be the owner) is one of the rudest i have seen. Specially, if you cant speak Russian or local language. Walk in and check your room and the cleanliness there, before booking online.

After travelling to 60 countries in 2 years, unfortunately found the worst hostel. Dont book this hostel without physical checking your accommodation facilities there. No air-conditioning, or fan in the rooms. Only one table Fan in the common lounge. Only people staying in the hostel are refugees from ukraine, long term stay. Personally saw 3 or 4 customers walking out after checking the living conditions in 2 days. Toilet door lock is broken and anyone can walk in anytime. Also, if you are a non russian or local language speaker, be ready to receive rude behaviour from the receptionist guy and other staff. No one can speak english.

The location is central. Places of interest for tourists, for business, for students, are all very accessible on foot or by boarding public transportation at stops one or two minutes from the hostel. Several grocery stores, cafe's, dining, money exchange, are only one minute walking distance from the hostel. Two outdoor seating areas offer ample space for occasionally lazy hostel guests.The kitchen areas are functional. Laundry machine & service is offered with outdoor lines for drying. Keep in mind, this is a travelers hostel and it is in a very convenient location for a hostel.

The hostel was very dirty and poorly maintained, with a dark atmosphere and a suffocating smell that made it difficult to breathe. The bathroom was full of hair and clearly not cleaned regularly, while the kitchen was filthy and unhygienic. The whole place felt neglected and uncomfortable — I would not recommend staying here.

The bathroom are the place is not good and the there are few people who are living longer there more like a person who works and they cook there and spoil the kitchen place making it not nice to eat. The washrooms are literally dirty and I have seen cockroaches and the people who live there pee with the toilet seat down which makes it harder to clean everytime we poo. The toilet paper is very poor quality and there is no shower gel provided.

Poor. And for the price? Even worse. No toilet paper, no soap. It smells bad in the female room (one lady LIVES there, there are her stuff everywhere and she also eats in the room), no daily cleaning, a lot of hair on the floors everywhere. Also the lady snores like a bear at night and speaks by the phone in the room during the day. +Uncomfortable bed:(

i showed up to the wrong buddha hostel first. they told me they have two hostels and ofc i went to the wring one. extremely dirty shower, no toilet paper, bad smelling pillow. they gave me a wrong room. i ordered one with bed blinds but mine didn't have. extremely high humidity! only old russian men LIVING here.
