How guest reviews work
Each review score is between 1 and 10. To get the overall score you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of them. We use a weighted review system, which means the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. Guests can also give separate “subscores” in crucial areas like location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value, and free Wifi. Note that guests submit their subscores and overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an accommodation that you booked through our platform if you stayed there, or if you got to the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialize in detecting fake reviews submitted to our platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team so that our fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we'd publish every review we get, positive and negative. However, we won’t display any reviews that include or refer to (among other things):
- Politically sensitive comments
- Promotional content
- Illegal activities
- Personal or sensitive info (e.g. emails, phone numbers, credit card info)
- Swear words, sexual references, hate speech, discriminatory remarks, threats, or references to violence
- Spam and fake content
- Animal cruelty
- Impersonation (i.e. if the writer is claiming to be someone else)
- Any violation of our review guidelines.
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out. We may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old, or if the accommodation has a change of ownership.
An accommodation can reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (e.g. language, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). You can sort and/or filter them by time of year, review score, and more.
Sometimes we show external review scores from other well-known travel websites, but make it clear when we do this.
Guidelines and Standards for Reviews
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly, without limiting expression or strong opinions. They're also applicable regardless of the comment's tone.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. Promotional content will be removed and issues concerning Booking.com’s services should be routed to our Customer Service or Accommodation Service teams.
Contributions should be appropriate for a global audience. Please avoid using profanity or attempts to approximate profanity with creative spelling, in any language. Comments and media that include hate speech, discriminatory remarks, threats, sexually explicit remarks, violence, or the promotion of illegal activity are not permitted.
All content should be genuine and unique to the guest. Reviews are most valuable when they are original and unbiased. Your contribution should be yours. Booking.com property partners should not post on behalf of guests or offer incentives in exchange for reviews. Attempts to bring down the rating of a competitor by submitting a negative review will not be tolerated.
Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and other similar details.

Only one aircon in the lounge so bedrooms were warm. Bedrooms small with no side table, light or plug to charge phones.

Verified reviewThis is amazing! Before arrival I cannot even imagine how cool this apartment is!! 2 bedrooms + living room + kitchen = a lot of space. There is even a washing machine available to use. And this place is right in front of an ancient citadel. You can explore the Old City and come back home any minute. Super comfortable! 150/10 ⭐

Verified reviewThe flat is extremely well designed and well maintenance. It is very tiny but cleverly designed. The location is perfect : in the heart of the old town walls but extremely quite despite the amount of tourists!
The folding bed could benefit by an upgrade to better fit 2 European size people .

Verified reviewWonderful hosts, we felt so welcome, Nikola and Nebojsa were so helpful and kind. Amazing location, the view from the lounge was fabulous. It was compact but comfortable and had everything; washing machine, clothes lines, TV in every room (if you’re into that), lounge, dining table, kitchen. Very safe and secure, easy self check in. Perfect, we couldnt have asked for a better place or better hosts.
Only that we couldnt stay longer!

It's not possible ti skeep for the Basilica's Bell noise every hour. Small, old and impossible to parking. Payment only cash without recipt
Because of all previous and of course future guests of our apartments, we are obliged to answer truthfully, unlike you. After you did a late self check-in, you left the accommodation in the early hours of the morning without paying anything! We immediately reported this case to booking.com and it's simply incredible that they allowed you to leave any comment in the first place! And it's not a problem that you deceived us and took advantage of our kindness, but in spite of that you leave this comment, it speaks of what kind of people you are. We certainly reported your case to the police as well, and we hope that they will ban you from entering Montenegro again! We are aware of the fact that there are people like this, cheating other people who are making honest money and living from this. We hope that you will not have the opportunity to deceive our other colleagues around the world.

Verified reviewI stayed for a week with my husband. The location is perfect. Even is a sofa bad is very comfy and they have all things needed for the kitchen. It’s very small, but the location make it worth it.
Everything was good, just some hints to improve even better our stay. - would be nice to have a trash on the bathroom for woman’s things. - The blanket could be bigger since it is for two people. Nothing major. 🙌🏽

Verified reviewThe location of the apartment was very good, in the heart of the old town. I met Nicola at the house at the exact time we said. The house was very clean. We were a group of 4 people, we were comfortable in the house... but for 3 people the apartment would be more comfortable 😉

Verified review1. Great location - the center of old Budva, but at its quiet corner. 2. Amazing sea view from the windows! 3. Apartment looks just renovated - clean and equipped with brand new furniture. 4. And extra bonus - availability of parking spot owned by the property.
